There's 2, wait actually 3 reasons I come here.
1) I visit my grandpa every now & then and bring flowers to his grave
2) my husband & I love spending Dia de Muertos in Oaxaca, there's so much celebration, flowers & colors everywhere and this place is no exception. When we moved here this was the place my family & friends recommended to visit.
You can think it's sad but people come to celebrate their beloved ones, there's music, food and remembering good memories, people decorate the graves, make carpets of flowers& even bring their relatives' favorite foods.
3) The food, in Dia de Muertos there's tons of food stands outside the cemetery, you can get anything from garnachas, tacos, flautas, desserts, even beer!
So this year try to visit Panteon General for Dia de Muertos! read more
