Not much standing or waiting room and the dining area is very small, so there were no seats. It took 15 minutes to order and another 15 to get me food. So not a quick lunch. Of course, have to start off with the street tacos. For $3.75 a pop, I was hoping for a little better to be honest. Al pastor and Carne Asada meats were both tough and chewy. The best one was the marinated chicken. Good, but not great. There are some other items I might try to round out a fuller opinion, but street tacos are my baseline for assessing how they manage the fundamentals.

Guacamole and all meat was fresh. We tried the tacos with carne asada, pork, and birria options. All very tasty. The jalapeño tacos were a standout. The jalapeños were actually not very spicy, despite having the seeds still in them. This was nice because you could actually taste the sweet flavor of the jalepenos. Please don't judge the storefront by its cover. It's a small, simple place, but the food more than makes up for it. The place was under some interior construction, but they were still open and service was great.

One block off the main thoroughfare, this restaurant is located next door to The Dog Spa. It's a small place but don't let that stop you from giving it a try. They used to operate out of a food truck in another part of Homedale and have migrated to having their first permanent location. I believe we were told they moved in here in October of 2022. It is a place that has a meat counter for Mexican delicacies, but there are about 6-7 tables where you can dine in and enjoy some great tasting food. My wife and I both ordered the Pollo Asado plate along with a side of guacamole and some fried jalapeños. I can honestly say that everything was prepared very well and have great flavor. The chicken was seasoned perfectly and the guacamole was obviously made fresh. That, in itself, was a bonus. No mass produced guacamole! The rice and beans were a perfect portion size for the meal, and the three tortillas were soft and warm. We both left satisfied and not over stuffed! There is a small area where they sell tortillas and Mexican spices. This is good to know since we like to make our own Mexican style sauces at home. We love supporting small business whenever we can. Next trip we're gonna have to try the Jalapeño taco. They made them sound very tempting while we were eating our meal!

The menu has a few things you can order from burritos, tacos, tortas and other fun items. We ordered a Carne Asada Burrito and it has rice, beans, meat of choice & lettuce and avocado it was pretty good. We got some tacos as well and not sure if she mixed up another ordered but we were short 3 tacos on our order and that was a bummer.. I was really looking forward to them. Their asada, carnitas, el pastor were all really good and authentic flavor and loved that the pastor had the pineapple chunks as well. One thing I did dislike was I asked about chips order and it said $5 when I asked her if I can just have a couple, she was a bit confused and asked the lead there. Apparently they didn't have chips in their truck and had to go find them. That should have been my no thank you but I figured ohh let's give them a try. Once we got to our house and saw the $5 chips I was honestly a bit upset they were store bought nacho chips. Tacos are $2.50 I don't understand why chips are $5 and they aren't even like your traditional Mexican chips or something along those lines. That was my only downfall to this place but those are just chips. Their food was honestly good no doubt about it when we were ordering they had a few people eating there and a few to go orders. Maybe take them off the menu or make little baggies and purchase chips from a Mexican store or make your own tostadas..

Each of the tacos was absolutely amazing! The green sauce is really good and not too spicy. The esquites was a little different than I'm used to and was a little more soupy, but also delicious! Horchata is horchata (one of my favorite drinks). Something I really need to talk about are the churros. I consider myself a churro connoisseur at this point, having had hundreds at sporting events, Disneyland, and other festivities. These churros were some of THE BEST CHURROS I have ever had! Service: 5/5. Lorena was very nice and had our order out relatively quickly for all the food we ordered! Great service! Atmosphere: 4/5. The location is interesting and tucked back away from the road. Can be hard to find. The tented area is a great place to sit and you kind of forget you are in a parking lot along a busy road. A good amount of seating. Kid-friendly: 5/5. Great to go or to eat there with kiddos. My 2 year old loves beans and rice and there are plenty of food options for kids.

Address in the GPS, pulling up, it was a "Oh crap, how have I never noticed this?" Easy, its sort of behind Jacks, on the back end of the car dealers overflow lot! You, like I, will wonder if they take cards or if it's cash only, they definitely take cards. The means variety is on par with my favorite little taco shops. I chose the #1 Special with one each chicken, carnita and chorizo street taco with rice and beans. For drinks they have everything I ask for to qualify as authentic Mexican and believe it of not, I passed on the Horchata for once and ordered a Mandrian Jarritilos Mexican orange soda. My first bite of the chicken taco, yep, that's good! Next up was chorizo and a bit of a surprise, maybe a mix of chorizo and potato, or maybe a vegetable I am unfamiliar with. Not wrong, if anything possibly more authentic than I'd encountered. Finally the carnits, good if a little dry, nothing the included salsa didn't help with. Both the red and green sauces were as expected. Now we get into the part I didn't love, the beans, a very small serving with the distinct flavor of powdered milk. I despise powdered milk and when you do, the flavor just sorta leaps out at you. Again, I can see how in huge swaths of Mexico if you didn't own a cow, you might use powdered milk for everything. There was rice but after the beans, I don't really remember it. The eternal question, would I return? My initial reaction was sure, I just wouldn't order a combo that included beans, but then I started thinking about how many thing might have those beans, so probably not. I suspect I'd do nothing but search for the of putting flavor of powdered milk, so why bother? There are too many places nearby to go to a place for tacos and horchata... and I really enjoy good beans! Of course if the taste of powdered or nonfat mike isn't an issue for you, you might love the place.

The two most popular tortas are the Reyes and Queen tortas, but there are 14 on the menu to choose from.
