My main reason for stopping here was that they have a Kroger Gas Station and I can use my loyalty points to fill up. After filling up I ran into the store to grab a soda and a snack. Its an older store (as you can tell by the signage), and is kind of like walking back into the 1980s. That said, this *IS* East Texas and your options are extremely limited. All-in-all its a no-frills store, but because its part of a chain they have standardized offerings and products (which is nice when traveling)

I was craving a burger and this place did not disapoint, I went with the hometown hero and I'm not sure if they even made money on this burger, it was so juicy, not overcooked at all, perfection, seasoned propertly, the meat was likely a perfect 80/20 blend, bacon between the patties was very nice. I've eaten a lot of burgers in my day, and this was probably the best I've ever had. Looking at the menu, there are so many different options and I'm rating on the burgers alone, but I have no doubt that everything is likely top notch just based on the quality of this item. Friendly staff and great atmosphere, small town charm, big town flavor. You won't regret coming here.
