I live in Houston but regularly travel to Tyler, TX, and I stopped in at this Kroger while passing through Henderson. My main reason for stopping here was that they have a Kroger Gas Station and I can use my loyalty points to fill up. After filling up I ran into the store to grab a soda and a snack. Its an older store (as you can tell by the signage), and is kind of like walking back into the 1980s. That said, this *IS* East Texas and your options are extremely limited. The Kroger Store in Henderson, Texas is likely to be the worst market in Texas! It is typically poorly stocked with empty shelves, particularly on sale items. I have found many items to be "out of stock," such as distilled water and 1% milk. They had no shopping cart disinfectant wipes for a month! The staff are usually amicable and helpful. It is evident that this Kroger Food Store is outdated and in need of renovation to comply with current regulations and standards. For example, there is no indication of restrooms on the first floor or ADA compliance. It is 20-steps up to the 2nd floor bathroom! It is apparent that this store has been this way for many years. As a result, I am sure many people are willing to travel to a neighboring community to shop at a decent market, which has a negative impact on Kroger Stores. read more

Went in and somehow managed to stay in the store for over an hour and not once did a worker greet or ask about service. When i was checking out a bagger was very rude to the cashier and even though she asked for help with a large bag of flour so it wont tear and he told her she will be fine. But my flour wasnt he hid the side with a tear and i found it in the back of the car after i got home. Then concerns me seeing an employee "wacking" out. Better training and drug test will help maybe even clean up more as well the store smell read more

This is my grocery store of choice in Henderson. I like that they carry my groceries out for me and the gas discounts are a good bonus.
