They know us by name and when we walk in they always greet us in a friendly manner. We are usually waited on by Erika who is an excellent, friendly and personable server and eating here is like a second home to us. We recommend this establishment to one and all and have been happy here for a long time. Clean, seemed busy. Enjoyed the vegetarian options of the tofu kabob but not much of it - a little disappointing for the price. Large plates but wish there was more substance to the tofu- more of it- only small 4-5 thin pieces. Salad was pretty normal and not the typical Mediterranean salad lemon type dressing. Tonight February 18, I waited 15 minutes I sat at a table and no one waited on me. They had one waiter for the whole restaurant. They saw me come in then I went to the counter and asked for help and the owner, I believe was rude. The waiter was with the same people for 20 minutes. I left !Unfortunately they used to be one of the best go to restaurants. A few years ago, it went under new management and they took away the reward system. It seems the care for their customers was not there anymore just profit. The waiters and waitresses are still great and the food is still great but the new owners need a lot to learn. Came in late afternoon on a Friday and unfortunately the experience was rough from start to finish. Service was extremely slow. We were a group of four and it took about 2.5 hours total from getting seated to walking out...and it wasn't because the place was packed. The majority was open/unused tables, so it didn't feel like the kitchen or staff were slammed to the point this kind of delay made sense. When the food finally arrived, no one checked back in. We needed a few things and ended up just letting it go because we didn't see our server again for a while. The pricing on add-ons also felt off: we ordered extra tzatziki and it was $1.99 for a tiny portion, which was disappointing. It's Greek food, people. Food-wise, the meat portions were decent, but there were a couple misses that made it feel like corners were being cut. The "basmati rice" looked like a sprinkle of basmati mixed into regular white rice. Not what we expected. The end of the meal was the most frustrating part. After we got the bill, we sat there for 15 minutes waiting to pay, and eventually I had to track someone down. Each server has a handheld payment device, so this could have been wrapped up in minutes if someone had simply come by when we were clearly ready. Like every where else, it depends on what you order here. Their kabob koobideh, chicken kabob, and linguine Alfredo are good, specifically if you get it with date salad. But the Steak and the Trimasu was bland. I got their "hand squeezed" lemonade and it wasn't anything special either. read more

We come here at least once a week. Everything is wonderful, the kebab plates, etc. I love their salad dressings because they are made from scratch. All the ingredients are fresh and tasty. We dine here often and the food has always been very consistent in the quality which is a Must for us that keeps us coming back! The prices are decent, and the customer service has always also been outstanding. I love getting their flat iron steak medium rare (super tender) with the strawberry date salad and bulgar. I've also tried their pasta, chicken soup, and chicken wraps - all are very tasty! Their house-made tiramisu is such a treat. I appreciate a true scratch kitchen. Customizing certain items can be a bit tricky due to their system, but they try to make it work for you. Relaxing ambiance that can get pretty busy during lunch and weekends but the servers are on top of it. Outdoor seating is nice, with heat lamps on cold days and blinds when it's too sunny out. Fabian & Erika are a couple of our favorite servers but everyone is always super efficient and nice! Great family friendly experience. Sunset hour is definitely the best time to go for dinner. You experience the sunset and the gorgeous night lights outside. Our server Franco was outstanding. My Lamb kabob dinner tonight was ice cold. A few years ago, we used this restaurant to cater a party at our house and it was a hit. We purchased so much food until we couldn't eat anymore. Fast forward to today, my meal was no where near what I remembered about this restaurant - will not be returning in the near future. The waitress actually said that no food is pre-cooked in the restaurant. I politely ask the question if the food is not pre-cooked then how can it come out cold? Apparently this has been 4 miles from my house for years, first time trying it. Pros: Food was great! Salmon Caesar wrap w/ strawberry salad and wife had the "highly recommended" falafel wrap (guess they make in house). Both were great and large portions. I love coming here for a quick bite to eat. I get the same thing every time - tofu kabob with grilled veggies, hummus, and the Mediterranean salad. I literally crave it multiple times a week!! The tofu is seasoned the same way the chicken is and it's absolutely amazing. Even if you aren't a vegetarian, I promise you will love the tofu!! I ordered a family-style combo that included a family-sized Mediterranean Salad. However, the salad arrived with absolutely no olives, which were the main reason I chose that specific salad. I immediately called the restaurant and spoke with Manny, the manager. Without offering an apology, he asked me to email him a picture of the salad without the olives to "train his staff." I agreed, thinking he was going to make things right. Instead, he offered to have me drive back to the restaurant just to pick up olives, which I found incredibly insulting and impractical, not to mention I'm about a 30 min drive away. When I said that wouldn't work, he told me the only thing he could do was let corporate know about my situation, and that they would decide what to do -- if they chose to do anything at all. I explained how this issue impacted the meal and ruined the overall experience. Manny said he couldn't offer any other solution other than to let them know I was requesting a refund and that he would follow up. I would have also been happy with a credit, but Manny never offered that either. A few days later, he called and said corporate told him they processed a refund, but he wasn't sure how much it would be. I had a strong feeling he already knew it would be a small amount but didn't want to be transparent about it. When I called the next day, I spoke with Juliana, another manager, who confirmed I would be receiving a refund, which I thought meant the matter was resolved. About a week later, I was shocked to find that only $5 was refunded -- without my knowledge or consent. I called Juliana again to express my concern, especially after she had clearly confirmed a refund would be issued. At that point, she changed her story, claiming I misunderstood and said they would never give a proper refund over missing olives. After nearly two weeks of back-and-forth, misleading communication, and no ownership from either manager, this issue ended with a $5 refund, which felt incredibly disrespectful and dismissive. Juliana then said all she could do was offer more olives if I came to pick them up, or she could let corporate know I wasn't happy. I asked her to let them know and follow up with me -- she said she would. I also submitted a request through their website for corporate to contact me. It's been nearly a week and I've heard nothing. This issue could have been resolved easily and respectfully on the spot -- even just with a proper credit. But instead, I was misled, dismissed, and essentially told my experience didn't matter. I found this entire interaction to be unprofessional, insulting, and disrespectful to the customer. I understand mistakes happen, but it's the way they get handled that stands out to me. This experience taught me to order at your own risk, an any issue that may occur with your order likely won't be properly resolved. read more

If you've ever been to Luna or Bistro you'll know their biggest flaws are flavor and dry kabobs. Here at PKG you will find the opposite. Not only do they have the most flavorful Koobideh in maybe all of North County, but of the dozens of times I've been they have yet to dissappoint. The location is a little weird in that you can enter from both sides, but their real entrance is from the rear parking lot and what you see when you pull up is actually their back patio. They get busy, but you rarely have to wait more than a few minutes to be seated or the food is ready, hot when they say it will be (great packaging btw). Not only is it branded, but it's sturdy, to go orders feel near catered. Service is good, they could maybe staff 1 extra server, but the one's who do work here are good. When you look at the portions you will be not be left hungry, an entree is an entree and I have a big appetite and don't need extra, usually i'll take home leftovers from my family who i usually bring here. Price is nice, less than their nearby competitors and a fantastic value. What I like most is that they never have dry chicken or tough beef or 20+ minute waits for food when dining in which are complaints of their competition (not really). I have not tried the shrimp, but can say that the salmon is nice and firm, yet flaky. The flat iron, chicken, koobideh and lamb are all flavorful and tender. I've not yet tried the pastas, but only because if you have Kabob in the name that's what I'm gonna get. You don't go to Burger King for chicken. My only real complaint is that I feel like they could play with the sauces a little bit. I would love a sauce like toum or maybe something closer to a white sauce becuase I find their tzaziki a little boring. I find myself dipping the kabob veggies into the pomegranate vinagrete leftover from my salad bowl. read more
