Crisp, yet soft and chewy, these breads are the perfect handheld bites to take with you on the go, or stand at a nearby table and indulge in. My wife and I enjoyed two varieties - pesto and mozzarella and one with onions and sausage. Both of them were absolutely fantastic! In fact, if I didn't have to catch a ferry, I easily could've ordered two more and sat down and enjoyed them with a bottle of wine. This restaurant's staff turned their backs on us when we asked to pay the cover charge so that we could pay for the table we were at, after we'd already purchased 20 euros worth of food. They said no, and asked us and our small children to leave, and turned their backs on us. It was an extremely hot day. Another guest who was in line behind us was so astounded by their behavior that he came outside to apologize to us for what he had just witnessed. All of those staff would be immediately fired for their behavior if that had happened in England, the United States, Canada, or many other places. DO NOT GO HERE, SPREAD THE WORD.

I stayed in Riomaggiore for the weekend (2 nights) and managed to stop by 4 times... and even though that might sound like a gross amount of times I enjoyed every single bite each time and definitely could've stayed for more! One of my favorite flavors ever is pistachio when it's made correctly so I was dying to try it out! The first sample I had made me fall in love. The gelato tasted exactly like perfectly roasted pistachios in a creamy form. It tasted so real and fresh and at that moment I knew how much I loved Italy.
