Bunch of cold fish. Doctor was dismissive of my child's pain. Looking for a new dentist.

I ended up getting treatment from both Dr. Waheed & Dr. Panousis and they are fantastic dentists. I have to shout out Dr. Panousis. She helped ease any fears/anxiety & she took care making sure I wasn't in pain during my dental procedures. The dental assistants were on point as well. I never felt like I was drowning when the dentist was working on my teeth. (As someone who had braces/regular dental work... it's definitely a thing) All in all this place is was really cool. Takes the fear out of going to the dentist lol I will be coming back here for any future dental appointments.

The staff and dentists here are nice and helpful; and I am sure they do good work. What is wrong is…read morethat we called and were told they do pediatric dentistry and that they could do the work the same day we come with my daughter. We get there and waited for a long time to get to the back; once we got to the back they informed me that it would just be an examination for my daughter and no work would be done. We had explained on the phone how our normal family dentist had referred her to a pediatric dentist and they said no problem; they would do the pediatric dental work. However instead of any work they performed an exam and took more expensive xrays then had the nerve to refer my daughter down the road to an dentist that does pediatric dentist. I didn't bring her here to just get another referral and pay them good money for a wasted trip.

Nice office and very nice staff. I loved how much care Akta took with me and explained everything…read more Their equipment is very high tech and I was amazed by it. I had a great time talking with the finance specialist and we shared medical experience stories. Dr. Barrett was very professional and thorough. They used a new treatment on 5 of my teeth where it was needed to prevent and reverse cavities that were forming. That treatment isn't covered by my insurance yet, (FedBCBS) but it might be in the next year. My husband's appointment is next so I am hoping his experience goes well also.

Then they gave me my treatment plan which amounted to $13,000 without any real explanation. They hurried me through the whole process. They left my broken tooth hanging without even explaining they could have bonded the tooth to the other teeth so it wouldn't detach before some sort of dental work could be done to fix the problem.I went to another dentist the same day not only did he bond the tooth to the others, the treatment plan was less than half what Patel quoted me. Do not go here. They could care less and are only in It for the $$$$$$. Oh and by the way when I asked Dr Patel about my hanging tooth and what I should do I the meantime, he was like "oh well".

The worst Pediatric Dental Experience in 17 1/2 years, with 3 kids. Actually, the worst dental…read moreexperience in my 44 years with any dentist (and i was broughtup with those 80s dentists!). Before I scheduled my kids appointment I did the right thing by confirming with this provider and the Crestview location that they were in network with my SPECIFIC insurance via plan number and social security number. Moreover I sent them their required new patient paperwork over 2 months before the scheduled appointments with all of the required information for our insurance. Upon exiting the appointment I was assured the appointment was in network and I don't owe anything. Then, SUPRISE, I get notified from my insurance company of a balance. When I contacted the dental office to talk about it they said "talk to your insurance company". I don't know where Wild Smiles Crestview messed up, but if I was OUT of Network, do you think they would have let me go without paying a penny the day of the visit? It is abundantly clear that office management does not know how to do their job or admit when they screw up. Additionally, I never received a bill from them, not ONE bill in 9 months since the visit. Instead, I received a letter from a collection agency over 9 months later. As for the visit, the office seemed like a pop up location that you would see for a blood drive. The cleaning and exam for both children seemed rushed and impersonal. Also, the staff seemed way more interested in celebrating the doctors birthday then putting the attention on the CHILDREN. What was also offputting and strange is when we were leaving they wanted to schedule a follow up appointment, but said they would have to restrict the appointment to a certain time of the day because of the way that kids "act" during that time if day. How insulting that is? Some stranger knows what time of day my kids act the best? It is now so apparent why this was the closest dentist (1 hour and 45 minutes) to us that was "in-network" and taking new patients.

Our dental assistant Kylie took great care of us before the procedure. She answered all of mine and my son's goofy questions and made sure he was entertained as well. She even made little jokes and helped him relax if he was getting uneasy while we waited for the Doctor to see us. Our dentist, Dr. Lisa Lapointe, did a great job fixing his tooth and it looks like there was never a chip at all. My son was a little anxious with all the loud noises from all the tools they had to use to repair his tooth but the whole team helped calm him down and make sure he felt safe during the procedure. From Sebastian and myself thank you all for doing such a great job!! We really can't thank you enough !! We will use this dentistry for all of our dental needs big or small.

I have gone to this place 2 times with my autistic daughter & I was treated so rude by Dr Doug…read moreFajwana. My old dentist retired so I was brought in to an open bay & it was 4 areas one being for my daughter. I explained to the dental hygienist that my daughter has autism ( non verbal) & I didn't think she would allow her to do anything. So she spoke with Dr Doug & put me in a room as he entered I was telling him that my old dentist had retired ' this is what we did & this worked with sedation. Upon hearing this he said it was up to him if he thought she needed it. He never looked in her mouth he told me to go on Amazon & get some flossing sticks. As well as saying he didn't want to traumatize her.Unaware that I had said or done something wrong being a parent of a special needs child you are their voice. So my daughter was signing hurt & signing teeth. I called & took a cancellation appointment & explained the situation of her having a problem with back tooth on left side as well as I wanted him to look @ her tongue as she had surgery after she was born. I wanted him to look at these issues. ( speech therapist is having issues with her G's & a few more)The receptionist said she would have to have a cleaning & I explained again that it wasn't going to work we tried that so I was optimistic & hoping to communicate my concerns to the dentist. So same as last time my daughter was having none of it. Again I was shuffled to the same room. I then explained that I asked for sedation for cleaning & the other issues. He told me they didn't do sedation in this office only the Panama City office. I explained to him she had not had a cleaning in 4 years & he said kids this young isn't getting periodontal disease. I asked them had he waited 4 years to get his teeth cleaned & he sarcastically said yes, I said oh I misunderstood I guess . So before I could ask to be scheduled to that office he cut me off & told me I needed to go see my old dentist. Well I told him he was retired so that wasn't possible. The receptionist asked me if I needed her records to be transferred? This dentist never examined my daughters teeth to know if she needed sedation or the tooth that was bothering her. Maybe he thought I was telling him how to do his job but that wasn't the case at all. I told the receptionist what paperwork they haven't even opened my daughters mouth. I don't know if he's got a ego issue or why he was so rude to us the 2 times we were there. I have filed a formal complaint with AHCA.I will also be.filing with the BBB.( Better Business )Furthermore if he doesn't want to treat special needs children then don't. There is a special needs group I will also posting about the this business as well as my attorney. I have never been treated so rude in my life. His people skills are terrible. He's educated, but has no common sense for talking down to people like me who else has he done this to? I hope & pray for you whatever higher power you believe in to really think before you speak. With age comes wisdom, not everyone unfortunately. So if you need a dentist & have a special needs child he's definitely not recommended. My daughter is having a toothache & my insurance is ppo is this office unless I go to Tallahassee. So I would go anywhere but here. My insurance was notified as well as many others affiliated with the board of dentistry.I think he's so use to telling people what to do I'm not his staff nor will I accept this treatment from a dentist or anyone . You expect more from people in this field we put them at a higher standard. Please find another dentist if you have a special needs child! If you have also had a issue you need to contact me or your insurance company. As well as many other places. Nobody deserves to be treated like I was.
