Here, the salad was filled with fresh veggies and strawberries Found the soups here delightful! Really no service beyond the ordering interface. Friendly and helpful staff here. I love the food it is good to eat and good for me, I love the quiches and sandwiches for breakfast. I have since July had a coffee subscription and they are losing money on me! Of course with the coffee I am spending more food money there, that I am sure is how they planned it. The only problem I have is that their curb side service is a bit inconsistent, some time I get my order in less than 5 min after arriving and letting them know I am there via the app., then next time I have to give up and go in or have to call the main number and wade through the phone menu to get my food. read more

I can't say anything particularly negative about this location, other than the fact that Panera just used to be better in general. The last several times I've eaten here (all locations) I've been really disappointed in the food quality, especially for what the cost is. The portions are getting smaller and the prices are getting larger, I understand inflation is a real thing right now but I also feel like the quality should at least be there if you are paying more. The last couple sandwiches I've gotten from This location had either very few toppings, or the sandwiches were assembled very messy. They also no longer offer many of the menu items that were very good five or 10 years ago which is very disappointing. I've tried to come back a couple more times hoping that I would be as happy as I used to be eating here and each time I'm more and more disappointed. I reviewed several reviews before posting this. I noticed that it had terrible reviews and I wasn't sure why. Some of people's concerns were the staff and wait times. I can see why that was a concern. When I went, they seemed a little understaff but they were training someone to be a cashier. So maybe next time, that will not be a problem. I like the food. I always get the same thing no matter when I go. No matter how long is in between the visits, it is always made the same and I love that. I don't have to worry about it not being as good as the first time or last time. I love this location and that is right off Gull Road. I am resting in a recliner and my teddy bear whispers in my ear that she would like to take across country trip with zero money set aside for food. "You don't eat," I reply, "and I try to not eat from dumpsters anymore." "No, you don't understand," she giggles. "See, Panera has these pieces of furniture with shelves or cubby holes. Customers order and pay on line, staff prepare the food and package it, then customers walk in and grab their packages of yummy goodness and walk out, all without having to talk to Panera staff. It's food served in a warm, welcoming fast-casual way by people who would rather not make eye contact with you. So, we just go in while staring at our phones, sorta distracted, and grab some packages and walk out." "Isn't that theft?" I said. "It's potluck," my teddy bear said. "Sure, "you don't know what sandwich or soup or rice bowl you might be getting, but that only adds to the thrill. We could criss cross the country, never going into the same Panera twice." I know I have too much of a conscience to ever do this. I really don't find this Panera's as objectionable as the other two in town (Westnedge, West Main). It never gets as overwhelmingly busy as the other two, and the interior is walled off so its sections are a bit quieter. Having said that, we tend to buy three things and only these three things from this (or any Panera, if I think about it): coffee, bagels (and yes, I know they aren't genuine), and the big containers of soups (Broccoli Cheese soup, generally) that serve 4 or 6. The days of eating Strawberry Poppyseed Salads and Turkey Bacon Bravo sandwiches at Panera's is long past. There are just too many other interesting places to eat now, and the tired Panera menu complete with the escalating prices holds no appeal anymore. Anyway, frozen macaroni & cheese aside, it's a chain restaurant, and with every chain there has to be uniformity of flavors across all of the the restaurants (e.g., so the Broccoli Cheese soup tastes the same everywhere). So is it surprising that many items are made at a central location, flash frozen, and then shipped to individual restaurants? What's alarming is the dog and pony show that Panera engages in to disguise the reality that the Panera chain is just an upscale McDonald's. read more

A lovely person who happens to be my boss at close to the last moment alerted a nice chunk of the staff that we could support a local initiative by going in on a specific day with our a special flyer or by ordering using a special code on said day online. I am all for giving back and supporting community causes, so I called the hub-cap up asked for his order and proceeded to order it online just before closing up shop in the office. I walked into the busy, but otherwise pleasant faces and was shocked at how trusting they were. I come from denser parts of the country where in any busy food pickup would be more than a 1 step process. Some verification or SOMETHING would be necessary, but I picked up the bag and looked around like Boris and Natasha from Rocky and Bullwinkle, just feeling like a criminal. I even went as far as to ask if they needed some form of ID to which they responded no. Ah-ha -I forgot to enter the special code, which would more or less made the visit moot, so as a way to cleanse my spirit, I thought this could be my verification, this special form, so I spent a minute or two longer than I might have at Panera, but I left with a clear mind. I order a half and half Fuji apple salad (tasty) and a butternut squash (rich) soup because 'TIS the SEASON, I love those rich autumnal colors in my food. My hub-cap got the Mediterranean Sandwich, and folx he liked it so much when he went back to school in A2 he got another one THE NEXT DAY and told me this WITHOUT SHAME. That's how good it was. All in all, a great visit- I just wish this site had gluten-conscious meals. Stopped in early in the afternoon to pick up an order for friend and the place was crazy at least 10 people in the building waiting for their order. A heavy set older worker walked towards the register mumbling something about an order being ready I asked her who's order was ready and she said in a very rude tone " we got three screens full of orders you will have to wait". Great tasting food. I enjoyed the creamy tomato soup and the Turkey Apple Cheddar sandwich. The flavors of that sandwich were amazing and wonderious. I am very appreciative that the tea is out in the lobby now. I like to mix them together to try different flavor combinations. I have been made aware that 75% lemonade and 25% Sierra Mist made a delicious fizzy lemonade. Maintenance attention needs to be brought to the restrooms. The cleanliness is great but the "accessory hardware" is not properly fitted (the seat is not the right one for the throne nor is it exactly "secured" to it either). Unless this is meant to be coupled with a interactive skiing game that has not been fully installed, if so I suggest removing the "mogul" feature until it the rest of the experience is added. read more

Understand staffing problems but when it takes 15 minutes to cut a bagel and toast it there is a problem. I walked in no one in front of me, very little amount of people sitting in the dining room. If I could rate 0 stars I would. We went in today for an easy breakfast. We gave our order- I ordered an egg and cheese sandwich. 20 min later my pager had not gone off so I went to the counter where you pick up your food. One of the guys told me the pager will make noise and flash when my sandwich is ready. So I waited another 15 minutes-still I've not been paged. So I asked the gal at the order counter if I could just get a refund. She had to go and ask the manager, he said the sandwich had been sitting there ready. I told the manager I never got notified that it was ready- he said the pager goes off when ready- I said I know that and it never went off. He shrugged his shoulders and said technical difficulties. So my sandwich was stone cold- a greasy congealed egg sandwich, not edible. I left and will never go back. I understand that there are major staffing shortages and that's why I was waiting patiently, watching people that came in after me get their food, eat and leave. But the attitude was the last straw. That man haas no business being a manager-he has no understanding of customer service and I don't really think he cares if the customer is happy or not. I don't think he cares if he is giving quality service. Staffing shortages or not you should always strive to make the customer happy and want to come back. He failed big time there. read more

I will never return to this specific Panera again. Upon entering the building this evening, we were basically told we couldn't stay. Allow me to explain, My husband and I were looking at the menu, while a 30(or so year old woman, who I'm assuming was the manager) told her employee "we are closing at 7, so make sure they know that." Basically alluding to the fact we were not welcome in the establishment past 7pm, mind you it was 6:51 when we walked in. We turned right around and walked out. I am a Panera fan but this one has a few issues to workout before we will return. My wife and I have been there to dine in twice in the past month and ordered take out 3 or 4 times too. Last time we ate in the waiter spilled my wife water on her as he dropped off bunch but instead of apologizing he laughed and said "Oh gosh,I really did that," Then again he says "my bad, that was totally on me." Finally after a minute or so he said "sorry about that" and walks off. Also we have ordered the large macaroni and cheese 4 times to go and they can't seem to figure out what Container is truly a large. the first time we got a rectangle that seemed to have a portion equal tote full serving when dining in but the next time we ordered the container was a tiny cup, obviously a small. Next order, big rectangle again, but the time after that its small cup again. Today I called ahead & they said it would be correct but this time I was given a small square bowl that seemed to have the same portion as the smalls. When I called trey said "You got the big container because we were out of the little ones." Unfortunately the inconsistency comes across as a lack of desire. read more

We've been going to this Panera for a few years now and are always happy with the service. Today the restaurant was out of a few types of bread for my son's sandwich, but Tyler did everything possible to make it right. I appreciated the attention he paid to providing great service. The salad they served me tasted like they went out back and pulled some weeds and threw them in my bowl. It was so awful and weird. My sister and mom ordered broccoli cheddar soup, which is there favorite, and when it was served it looked like gloopy, gelatin. The soup I ordered was the corn chowder and it tasted like they boiled corn in water and then put that in my bowl. Everything we ordered here was seriously gross. We love panera and its somewhere we go often due to the consistency of product, but this place was so off we left more than half our food on the table and drove through Wendys across the street. I had had Panera's bread for a couple of years but after getting a good sized gift card for Christmas I tried their other offerings. Oh my goodness! The broccoli cheddar soup is so good that I could eat it every meal! We also tried the Asiago roast beef and the Italian combo. I liked the roast beef better. I called at 1:12 asking about food order (I only live 10 minutes away) and was told they would call me back (they didn't). Got a text at 1:28pm saying food had arrived- which it obviously hadn't. I called again at 1:35 asking (again) if they knew about my order. He told me "we had a few drivers call in and were busy but if the alert said your food arrived it'll be there soon. Have a blessed day". Food got here at 1:38 The driver was nice and I could tell that she was swamped but she basically said "sorry we're out of frosting so your cookie is plain". Awesome. Can you please explain that to the three year old who was getting is as a reward? Had I known, 100% I would've picked a different cookie. I am a huge Panera fan and frequent the one on Gull Road. I have had nothing but great service and food from this cafe. Like any cafe with fresh baked goods, you,re gonna run out if you're busy...and I've seen the highs and lows of this cafe. The staff are running around staying on top of things when they are slammed and still remain polite with a smile on their faces. I know that they have to maintain their freshness rules as once I came in to purchase the small soufflé as they were pulling a couple to discard -- they refused to sell me one of them as the 2 hour freshness deadline had passed. Fresh ones were just coming out of the oven. people like Matthew don't get it when it comes to fresh baked goods the Panera way. Just like great cafes, if they run out of the prime rib or salmon I don't get angry at them, I just wish I would have arrived at their cafe earlier for dinner. So I have to make another selection. And , I've never seen this Panera without some type of baked goods. You just can't please everyone all of the time! And, Josh Hopwood is a wonderful manager...he gets kudos from all of us for his professionalism and customer service. A+ Panera! read more

Food is usually good, but we can never find a clean table. I usually ask for a cloth so I can clean it myself. Last time we went, every table was dirty with food and trash under the tables in almost every case. Please Panera, would you eat in a place like that?
