Panera Bread - Sandwiches Near Me - Greer, South Carolina

First off, I was in the drive way for 15 minutes with only 2 cars in front of me. 2 cars behind me pulled out at the 20 minute mark and I pulled out and went inside bc I was craving a smoothie from Panera that I get every other day. I get inside and I wait another 30 minutes for a simple green smoothie. Not a large or medium, REGULAR SIZE. Finally I see something green slide across the table. Now I go to Panera a lot. There has never been a time where they put food on the counter and didn't yell the name or anything. I slides it with an attitude and walks away. I grab the guy and ask if this is my drink he says "idk" like he could care less. SIR, I'm on a whole lunch break and I do not have time. Can you get my food or not? I finally get my drink almost 45 minutes LATER. Break over and now I'm rushing back to the office. Your workers do not move in the kitchen very fast as any other Panera I go to. ESPECIALLY DURING LUNCH TIME. I didn't ask for a whole meal or a big bakery order. I ASKED FOR A SIMPLE SMALL SMOOTHIE. Will never come to this location again and waste my money and time because my smoothie was very lumpy and had large chucks of ice in that that I couldn't even use my straw to drink it because it kept getting clogged. Worst lunch break ever in my life. This location does not even deserve a one star. More like 0. read more

I don't know why I keep giving this place a chance. I love Panera.... this location I do not love. The salad is always wilted and has a funny taste. The order is wrong again . They left strawberries off of the salads and when they brought us some strawberries , they are mushy and have a bad taste. Money wasted! But won't do it again! read more

The staff wasn't short or too overwhelmed with the flow of customers coming in. The Colombian Dark Roast coffee was fresh & hot. The store manager Aaron (call him A-A-Ron if you're in the mood) came and took care of an issue regarding the promotion I got from T-Mobile Tuesdays and he had a good attitude while he was helping me. I'm honestly shocked by the negative reviews. We became sip club members and so we are here more often than usual now. Every time we come in the manager bends over backwards to make sure people are enjoying their experience! He's given free drinks, fixed a mix up in our bagel orders by giving more bagels. He's always so upbeat and friendly. Outstanding manager! Obviously no place is perfect but if you run into an issue and have the chance to see this manager there, he takes the very best care of the guests here. I'm giving an A for effort! read more

This will be the last time at any Panera for me. It is expensive for what you get and what you get isn't that good. I had the most flavorless grilled cheese I have ever eaten in my life. I mean come on how do you screw up a grilled cheese. The tomato soup tasted like spaghetti sauce. My husbands meal was equally as disappointing. He order the turkey with avocado. He said he could have gotten more flavor from a saltine cracker. The bread was skimpy and flavorless and could barely hold the sandwich together and the avocado had no taste. On a positive note they have not been able to suck the flavor out of the pickles yet! read more

This place is terrible they made us move up past the drive thru and there were so many cars with no staff directing traffic. 2 Staff members came out with bags of food yelling names with total confusion as to who's food was who. No organization whatsoever believe me it was a wreck. And when you ordered at the window or drive thru no one mentioned anything about the way in which our food would be brought out. This place is the bees knees. It is so comforting here. It's clean, management is great and they always greet you as soon as you walk in the door. I love that they have the order kiosks in the front. It helps alleviate the wait time. And if you are at all introverted like myself, you don't have to say a word to anyone. Which is always nice. read more

Took my daughter, son in law, and husband for brunch Sunday Aug 26, 2018 Disappointed one of their breakfast sandwiches was no longer available; Egg white with turkey sausage, spinach and swiss cheese on toasted bagel. Also disappointed Panera dies not offer poppyseed bagels but does have a poppyseed salad dressing. My daughter breakfast sandwich order was wrong. She repeated to cashier she wanted toasted whole wheat bread at least 3 times. She got some kind of whole wheat flat bread/cracker-whole wheat matza? Also cashier did not know if sausage was pork or turkey. Gave 4 stars because usually good service and food. Disappointed this visit didn't live up to usual standards. read more

This Panera used to be my go to stop for a soup or salad, and I guess it still kind of is because I'm too lazy to drive to a better Panera. I went twice in the last week hoping that maybe they just had a bad day the first time around, but no. The people at the counter are not personable at all, and after repeating myself 3 times, being the only person waiting on an order they still managed to mess up my meal. Normally, during lunch rush I would just deal, but when I'm the only person waiting on food plus waiting an abnormal amount of time for a salad I decided to ask them to fix it. They rolled their eyes at me! 12 people working and 1 customer. No excuses guys. Fast-forward to round two. A little busier for the dinner hours, but again, I ordered a salad with an apple. The apple was bruised and mealy. It took them over 20 minutes to bring my order out. Not ok. I'm going to have to hope to find a new salad place for when I don't want to cook in Greer. read more

Not a fan of the move to the new location. This is the second time attempting to get bagels and they are out of a lot of them. Silverware was dirty, place is a lot smaller with not nearly as much seating. Asked for a bowl of soup and got a cup. Seems as if they don't bake nearly enough like they use to. One thing about this place, it's pretty consistent. The only thing I can gripe about is the food quality seems to be consistently going down. I still like their food, but it isn't the same as it was only a year or two ago. The inside appears clean until you really look around. Under the tables has gum, nasty. Dust buildup on all of the fixtures. The front of the house presentation is fine, and the displays kept pretty clean. Employees are courteous and quick to serve. Seating area is very cramped and often full. It's a good place to go. Three stars but still recommended. read more

I finally had a decent experience at this location! I got a family meal with a gift card. We got the chicken avocado melt (very good) and bravo turkey sandwich, ceasar salad, and broccoli soup. Let me say that my expectations were very low. Six months ago my husband and I both swore off this place because it was terrible. Stale food, understaffed, RUDE staff, drink dispensers empty, unclean dinining room. Just terrible. But when I got this gift card and needed dinner in a pinch, I figured I would try it one more time. I read all these terrible reviews right before I went lol. So when I say that my expectations were low, I mean they were LOW. Some pros were: they had my food ready for pick up on time, my order was accurate, the gentleman who brought the food out looked me in the face and spoke kindly, and the food was pretty good. Some cons were: the salad reeked of preservatives, they forgot to put forks in the bag for the salads even though they put spoons and bowls for the soup, they were stingy with the salad dressing, and the typical Panera issue of it being way overpriced for what it is. I am glad to see this place improving though, and I hope it continues. Who knows, maybe one day I'll even be able to give them that last star. read more

Been there twice and both times they continue to mess up my order and over charge me. Pay with debit have to be put back on debit card not given cash. Money goes back on card the next day. Cashiers don't know how to ring up correctly. Customer service was terrible and the tables were dirty. Really expected better. read more

I would totally eat here everyday if I could. Lots of healthy, comfort and fresh bakery items. I love the tomato mozzarella flatbread and green goddess salad. Delicious cookies, bagels and cinnamon rolls too. Customer service is on point, always!!! read more

Went this morning with my mom...ordering line was crazy long..clearly because the lady at the register wasn't trained enough to be there. My mom asked for the same thing she gets every time & the lady told us they don't have that sandwich on the menu....as we're looking at it on the menu...she continues to read through alllll the sandwiches until BOOM oh look, there's the sandwich. Ok, so ordered that. Asked if we wanted a 99 cent pastry- mom said yes and requested what cookie she wanted. Lady told her no- that ones wasn't 99 cents..my mom said it's ok she'll pay extra. She then asked her if she could just pick one of the 99 cent cookies- then I step in and assist her to remember that if we're gonna pay for it, she can have whatever cookie she wants. My mom asked if she could have this specific one (idk...? she just liked it, not a big deal...) and of course the lady looks at us and grabs the wrong one. I'm trying to get her attention and tell her to grab the other one and she throws the cookie in the bag and sighs...so we're looking at each other like "okkkaaaayyyy???" I give her my order quickly bc I'm very over this interaction at this point and tell her I want chips as my side. My the lady didn't even ask my mom if she wanted chips or baguette as her side- so my mom says "oh yeah can I have chips too please" and the lady said "yours comes with a baguette"....at this point I'm about to come over the counter and do it myself bc we've been coming to Panera for years- we know how it works & you get to chose your side........then the lady gets mad again bc she had to go back through my moms order & change the side to chips. We waited about 35-40 min for our food (even more pissed now) and when I get it, SHOCKER, my order was wrong......yeah I won't be back. I'll drive the extra distance to any other Panera. This location sucks. Ps Panera- please put someone a little more adequate for taking simple orders at the register. Ridiculous. read more

Terrible service. Waited 7 minutes for two ice coffees in a near empty restaurant. My wife finally found the two coffees up on a shelf when she went to inquire. The Panera was ice cold when I came in. The internet wasn't working either. The manager came over graciously listened to my complaint. He was very gracious and looked into the internet. He also gave me a free hot chocolate to warm me up. When he came back, he said because they close in one hour, they aren't going to look into the internet. The hot chocolate was also cold, YIKES!!! Even though you can find Panera Bread all over the place they are the closest place to my house that I can get a yummy croissant. Fluffy, Flaky, and delicious. For that they earn 4 stars. They loose a star for the fact that the service usually leaves something to be desired. I use to go here and use the wireless Internet as well. I have also found that they have a great selection of bagels, breads, muffins and other pastries. read more

In the past I have enjoyed their food. The past three times I have ordered takeout the process was very slow. The last time I ordered not only did the cashier get my salad wrong which I corrected and made it known that the order was wrong when I got home the sandwich I had ordered was not the one I received in the bag. I am tempted to think that because I refuse to tip on takeout that they screwed my order up on purpose. This is the last time I will be having Panera Bread.
