I love panera bread. They have the best bread and the best soup. I usually order the half and half so that way i can get half a sandwich and half soup. They are usually pretty quick but one time they completely forgot my order and I had to wait almost an hour for my meal. Hopefully this won't happen to you. If you get their rewards this place would be even better. You get random free things. One month I got a free daily bagel! Unfortunately that doesn't come with cream but hey free is free. Not enforcing COVID precautions. I ordered through the drive thru. As I pulled up I saw the employee making my entire order. She had her mask down below her chin, speaking into her headset all while preparing my food. She only pulled it up when she noticed that I saw her. I told her that I didn't feel comfortable consuming food that she had made. When confronted she was very rude, as if I was insulting her. She explained that she has asthma and that it was only for a second. But ma'am, you had it down before I even got to the window. She offered to let someone else make it but if nobody is enforcing COVID precautions then I don't want to be a patron of Panera. I know that having asthma can make mask wearing uncomfortable. I really like Panera Bread. It is my favorite place for "fast food". Today I had one of my favorites; the Strawberry, Poppyseed Salad with Chicken. The full salad is huge. Are we that absent-minded that we have no thinking button to care about others to not take your used cup to a fountain and press it against the same area that another customer will press their cup? I didn't toast it so it was soft, chewy and sticky just like I was having a dessert and the warm tea was comforting too. I truly could've taken a nap afterwards because it was filling, quiet and the staff kept the tables bussed and bathrooms were very clean!
