Pretty average. Stopped in for a bite while getting back on the road recently. The location was not busy but the service was pretty scattered. The guy waiting on us a little new, I guess. The wait seemed to take awhile but the restaurant was not busy..the food was standard Panera - just meh, but I don't go looking for great with Panera.. but it was not fast nor decent.. just slow and meh.. the breakfast sandwiches shouldn't take that long and they were not warm.. We arrived at 4:30 pm. No one was in line so we were able to place our order for two salads and one drink immediately. According to the chart that was hanging by the food pick up line, we were the fourth order to be made. Our name did not get called until 5:10 pm!! We had to eat super fast so my son would not be late for his job. Who waits almost 45 minutes at a Panera Bread for a meal? And the bread was as hard as a rock. It must have been sitting out for a very long time. Couldn't even bite into it. When we left, there were only three, maybe four tables of people eating. I always come here and nothing is ever wrong but today I went and paid 25$ for nothing. I ordered mac n cheese and it was literally all cheese with barely any noodles, i ordered a full grilled cheese with tomato soup and they forgot the grilled cheese. It's a franchise, serving franchise food. The sandwiches and soups are good, but not remarkable. Dead on middle of the road palate. It can get a little pricey for a family. Redemption comes in most of the baked goods, the raisin bread is really above par, and the bagels score well consistently. read more

So this is just based on my singular visit, but I was impressed on multiple fronts. I've been to many Paneras over the years, and I've eaten a lot of their Chicken Salad Sandwiches. First off, my order taker was just very pleasant to deal with. She was an older lady, yes, but very much a lady, and had an infectious smile and attitude that you couldn't help but admire and be taken in by. Very, very gracious, and she even offered me a drink when I was ordering water instead, trying to be "good". I declined politely, but later on her offer was at least partially taken up on, so I was very glad that she had done that. More importantly: I looked at my receipt, and she entered every last thing correctly, including my side item. My added onion was there, the extra lettuce and tomato was there, the correct side item...she DID HER JOB, and she did it at the top of her game. I wish I remembered her name, but even more: based on her performance, I wish that I'd remembered to tip. Sorry about that. On we go! My sandwich came out relatively quickly, which was *very* welcome, as I was famished and needed to get some food in my system just to level out. The kitchen made one *small* error (they gave me chips instead of the requested baguette), but when this was pointed out, they immediately corrected the issue *and* allowed me to retain the chips, which was nice, I thought. Plus, I got the heel of the baguette, too, *and* it was warm! Bonus! Here, however, is my favorite part of the movie: the Chicken Salad Sandwiches I get at Panera, at least 90% of the time, are well short on the Chicken Salad. Most of the time, the sandwich makers are hurriedly putting together food and as a result, they rush the scooping of the Chicken Salad, and thus end up putting a fraction of the proper amount on there, which leads to a very unsatisfying experience. I always have to go back and either ask them to remake the sandwich properly, or ask for more and put it on myself. NOT HERE!!!!! I was really, really pleased when I picked up my sandwich: it looked good, it had all of the ingredients on there that I'd requested, *and* it had the correct amount of Chicken Salad included, enough to make for a satisfying sandwich. It wasn't an over serve, mind you...there just was enough to know that I was going to be able to have some Chicken Salad in every bite, and everything else about the sandwich came together well as a result. Not having to go back to the kitchen to have them make the sandwich correctly...what a novel idea! The kitchen was also gracious enough to provide me with an extra asked-for pickle after my first one met with an untimely demise. They understood and were happy to help me out. So, all that's left to say is that they could have been a bit more tidy in the dining room area in terms of keeping tables bussed and cleaned, and their Wi-Fi was a bit screwy there on the day I was there. Hardly anything of note, though: they got the most important things right, and they MADE ME HAPPY. I even ended up drinking a bit of Mountain Dew at the end with some Excedrin I took in order to fight off a headache I was dealing with. I was glad that she'd offered. I'm the kind of guy who doesn't have *any* problem complaining when things aren't right, but because of that, I also want to be the guy who calls attention to when things are done really well, and so at the end of my visit, I told the General Manager (Doug) how pleased my visit had made me. You could tell that he appreciates being told the good feedback, too: I'm sure that he hears more about the bad than the good, but good food, service, and employees need to be recognized and called out! It's only fair. Restroom was clean and well stocked, too. All in all, I was *very* glad Panera was there that day, but even more: I'm glad that they're doing it right, here. Nice! I have not been to a Panera for awhile, but had enjoyed them in the past. This week we decided to try them again, with their offer of curbside delivery. That part went well and was seamless. What I object to is that after eating half a sandwich and bowl of soup for dinner, the next morning my ankles were double their normal size. The sodium levels in this meal was almost criminal. I checked their website and if you look hard the levels are listed and most items have far more sodium then most any place I have ever eaten. If you are a Boomer or concerned about good health consider someplace else. read more

We took a drive from Farmington to Fenton to enjoy a lunch out with our daughter who now lives in Fenton. We were treated so very well. We had hoped to eat outside and this location has a good sized, comfortable outside patio. The yellow jackets drove us indoors, however. The dining room is set up carefully for Covid reasons, but is clean and pleasant. The staff was amazing and even checked on us at different times. I really want to help the local restaurants during this pandemic by ordering takeout and ordered two flatbreads online. Even though we notified them with the ap that we were in the parking lot and received a response of "we'll be right out", we waited for 15 minutes and then called and asked where our order is. I'm pretty boring, as in Panera just does it for me. Usually reliably tasty and filling, definitely not lo-carb, but eh, that's life. Among us, we all ordered from the pick two (cup of soup or 1/2 sandwich or 1/2 salad). I can say the tomato soup was good, the greek salad was excellent (mmm Greek anything). Staff was friendly. Food was very sloppy. My mediterranean sandwich was so soggy that I couldn't eat it without the bread falling apart.

Yet again! Every time I go to this one Panera Bread my order is wrong short of drawing stick figures with what I want I have absolutely no idea what to do! A simple order steak and Swiss on a Panini, broccoli cheddar soup and chips! I got steak and white cheddar chabotta not a Panini, there was meat in my broccoli cheddar soup and chips and a baguette , which was supposed to be my sandwich not the side? Why can't these people get it right and they want $15 an hour? I asked to speak to the manager I was told I'm sorry we have new people and she started pointing out all the new people like I care! Been the manager comes over listens to my concern starts manhandling my sandwich and proceeds to try and give it back to me I gave him a look in order to say remake it asshole! Which he did and then I was informed they don't do Panini's anymore! They have turbo chefs! I guess the concept of Panini was too hard for them. A very good place with little flaws. Their food is very good, while not the cheapest, it is still not very expensive, and is definitely quality. The service is good, everything is done quickly and over the years I've been a regular here, I've had very few "incidents" with poor service. Employees also visit frequently and grab your trash if you're busy working- or catching up. :) The atmosphere is very comfortable, and this is definitely my favorite spot to do work at in Fenton. With nice music that isn't too loud and outlets located amongst the establishment, this is a great place to be productive, or just visit friends. Definitely recommend visiting if you need to get some work done, or just want a quick meal. read more

Unfortunately, this is my only option for decent coffee on my way to work. It's quite impressive there ability to charge me for a large latte yet make me a regular sized latte 9 out of 10 times. This has got to be the worst Panera Bread's in the chain and I have been to a lot of them and am a Panera rewards member. First off let me say that by about 1pm they run out of all bakery items such as muffins, muffin tops and croissants...you would think after the first time they ran out they would make more the next day? Not happening with this location. My daughter insists we go through the drive thru and every time she orders a bakery item ( at least 10x to date) they have run out?? As if this wasn't bad enough they screw up the drive through order pretty much every time also. Just got home and forgot to check the bag...and no cookie that I paid for. Last time they failed to add the bagget to the Chile order. Before that no chips with the sandwich order. I don't think they have ever gotten an order correct neve mind calling themselves a bakery that has no bakery items to order. Don't put "Bread" on your name when you run out of bread items by 11am daily. This would be like MacDonalds running out of fries or Chick-fil-A running out of chicken. Panera NO Bread should be the new name of this location. And how about actually putting in all the items ordered from the drive-thru for once also? Panera in Fenton usually hits the spot when dining indoors. However every time I visit the drive through they seem to mess up my order and give me old poorly made food. I recently ordered the Broccoli cheddar soup, and to my surprise the consistency of the soup was extremely liquidy. This soup is originally thick and creamy. Another thing I disliked was how poorly assembled my Tuscan chicken sandwich was. The chicken had a dry texture, there was no sauce on the sandwich, and there was a small slice of cheese that didn't even cover half the sandwich. Not to mention the bread was extremely hard to bite on. So over all, If you really want proper food from Panera in Fenton, it's best to dine in store so if they mess it up you could always ask them to re-make it because their drive through can never be trusted. read more

Twice I ordered the breakfast quiche. Once in line. 2 days ahead. For one hour after opening. Got there. Had to wait 20 minutes only to be told that they didn't have 4 of the kind I wanted. Had to substitute. So this week I figured why bother ordering ahead. I get to the drive through 1.5 hours after opening. Order 3 of the quiche. Told they only put two of each variety in. Don't have 3 or even two of the same. Had to take 1 of each. Crammed in a box (literally 1 smashed on top of the other 2). Both times also ordered 2 orange scones. Both times too salty and too dry-even for scones. For $20 - poor service. Cold. Salty. Dry. No thanks. There won't be a third time. read more

Oh man do I love Panera! This one has some great people working there. Brook is always soo friendly especially when I can't decided what to get (so many options, so little time). You pick two is always my go to. And always with Greek salad but I change up my sandwiches a lot. It's nice that the bread it made right there, and they let you customize your sandwich if you want, I almost always get the focaccia bread, regardless of the sandwich. The iced green tea doesn't really taste like any other green tea but it is so good!! And you need to try the duet cookie. Or the seasonal sugar cookies with the icing on top, right now they're tulips. So cute. read more
