The banana chocolate chip, cafe au lait, blueberry maple, and peppermint white chocolate cupcakes were all a bit dry. The frosting on each cupcake had a burst of flavor. Unfortunately, cupcakes and muffins aren't items I'll consider purchasing again. Note: The shop name has changed. Unsure if there's a new owner. The staff I encountered was friendly and the ambiance was warm and cozy.

I bought her book, "Go Back and Fetch It," and was delighted that she took the time to sign it (as she was running late for her soundcheck). This bookstore is beautiful (see video) and has so many offerings (besides books), some of which you will only find here. The owner and employees are very nice and patient. They were super busy today as lots of folks were here, but they were also polite and professional. I took a list of events with me. I will return for events and this is my new gift spot. There's a kids' section, a café, chairs and benches for reading, all sorts of books, magazines, decorative bookmarks, and fun seasonal displays with games, interactive toys, etc. Employee at the register was super friendly, even when I was being an indecisive pain in the butt. She helped me enroll in the reward program, which thankfully had none of the red tape or extensive mining of personal info most places try and squeeze out of you. Prices here are straight up average, which is a good thing. You're not getting clearance bin junk, and you're also not getting shrinkflation. The prices for books and magazines are also already attached to the books and magazines themselves, printed on the front or back cover, so you'd be able to tell if they were marking up like so many other places love to do. As depressing as this mall is now, this bookstore and the downstairs arcade are the two stand-out gems.
