Nice little corner restaurant in the heart of Paradise Point.
Like a lot of the restaurants in the area, the Panda Palace is only open between strict time of the day... the dinner menu starts at 4.30pm.
We ordered takeaway Spring rolls which was $5 for 3, Vege nasi Goreng $13.50, vege Singapore noodles $13.50 and vege red curry $14.50.... totally almost $50. I actually thought the prices were quite high for thai vege dishes and given the authentic aesthetics of the restaurant I was expecting amazing food.
The 3 spring rolls were very small and perhaps weren't handmade but from a packet - was a little unsure.
I tried the noodle which were so dry and flavourless I had to add the curry to the top plus salt and pepper to give the dish enough flavour. The Red curry was nice enough and had a nice chili heat to it, but again it felt like it was missing something in the flavour dept. My hubby had the Nasi Goreng and he also had to add salt, pepper, soy and chilli to it to give it a flavour - otherwise it was just rice with a little vege.
The takeaway did not come with any chopsticks, napkins or cutlery.
Overall I wouldn't eat there again, it was too expensive for the quality of the food and I feel there would be more authentic dishes elsewhere. read more
