I hate posting a negative reviews of a small local business, but we were disappointed. No we aren't looking for discounts free food etc or anything. In fact I hope it was just a bad day for them. We ordered: General Tsos chicken Orange chicken Pot stickers and spring rolls. 45$ is pricey for 2 mains and 2 apps but my husband figured they might be good. Sometimes the food is worth the $. The General Tsos chicken had no flavour really beyond over cooked soy. No spice either. The orange chicken tasted borderline exactly like the General Tsos chicken. Lots of soy. The barest hint of orange and no spice. My spring rolls had an overpowering cooking oil flavour and the pot stickers had no water chestnuts, no ginger, no scallions or garlic. Just ground meat. I am giving the restaurant a maybe on reccomendations because perhaps the chef was off...maybe it was just a bad day. I hope they continue serving their loyal clients but sadly we will take a pass on ordering from here again. It's just too expensive to test drive a 2nd time for us.

While I'm always a bit reticent to try new places, I placed an order at Hunan's in Brillion,…read moreWisconsin. We were going to be in Brillion and I knew I'd be busy unloading groceries and definitely not in the mood to cook. My call was answered immediately by a pleasant easy-to-understand young person. While rather disappointed to learn that Egg Fu Yung is no longer available (not ordered often enough, alas), we ordered our standby meal of Crab Rangoon, Sweet & Sour Pork, and Moo Goo Gai Pan. Our order was ready before 15 minutes elapsed and Hunan accepts credit cards. The crab rangoons were right on top of the carefully packaged bag so we had to try those immediately. Fantastic! Full of the cream cheese mixture and crispy, notably NOT overcooked to the point of being almost burned. While no one, including Hunan, seems to include the green pepper and pineapple chinks once a part of the sweet sour sauce, the deep fried park was notable for its size, flavor, and the delicate batter. So often one must look for the meat inside of heavy breading. It was excellent and the portion generous and reasonably priced. My Moo Goo Gai Pan was superb: a generous portion of chicken, pea pods, carrots, white onions, and superlatively fresh quartered mushrooms in an outstandingly flavorful white sauce. I highly recommend Hunan's of Brillion, Wisconsin. Excellent food, friendly staff, generous portions, and reasonable prices are an unbeatable combination. Please note that it is a carryout/takeout restaurant only. Brillion is a nice little city with stores and parks that seem to be worth exploring so perhaps someday we'll find a nearby park in which to eat our wonderful Chinese meal.

For a small town Chinese restaurant this one is not too bad. Good portion size, quick service and…read moretasty food.
