Our recent excursion proved that feedback to be more than accurate. Our dinner was some of the best Chinese food I've had. (and we have much to choose from in California's Bay Area!) The broth in the Wor Wonton soup was spot on - flavourful and balanced packed with bright vegetables, tender shrimp, chicken, and beef. The appetiser platter that we shared was beautifully presented and the eggrolls delightfully spiced, with everything crispy and tasty. Each of our entrees were uniquely flavoured and delicious - accompanied by fluffy fried rice. Note, we chose the Golden Phoenix Dinner for $24.95 per person which included the Wor wonton soup, appetisers, fried rice and your choice of any entree on the menu (except duck). An excellent value for this quality and the freedom to choose from a large selection of entrees. This experience was a marvellous surprise and my Mom was absolutely delighted! I was disappointed that they don't offer white rice. We had the choice of fried rice or noodles. We chose fried rice because we have never heard of noodles with Chinese food. Of everything we had, I'd rate the rice as something I wouldn't order again. It was dry and tasteless. Dinner came to $70 with a 20% tip and there were no leftovers. This is very unusual for us with Chinese food. We live in Maine and at this price point we would have left the restaurant near us in Maine with enough leftovers for dinner for two twice. But I know this isn't Maine. Service was great until we got our food. No one checked back to see if we needed anything and the server who presented the check never asked if we enjoyed it.
