Entrance has a fees. What the event provides is the blow up head piece, panda chest pin, show, couple panda blow up panda and entrance gate. Parking is not included and you have to find your own parking. There several local businesses collect fees for you to park your car. All the food vendors are extra. All of them is restaurant price. They are not cheap. Many food vendor has panda theme. One thing encourage is 50% of the vendors is new to me. Great experience. The other 50% is what we always expected or already experienced. Show did not start til 1 hour after opening. We only experienced 3 shows for two hours we are there. I think they really need to have is enough parking space. This event is done that been there.

It finally came! The annual Panda fest, a large Asian food and vendor festival that hits many major cities has finally come to Orlando! It's a huge 3 day event! The tickets are set to two hour time slots to help relieve the huge crowds. (They don't heavily enforce the time slots for entry and exit though). The festival itself was massive! It's broken up into two massive sections, the food side, and the vendor side. The food side had a huge section of food! It reminded me of a massive hawker stall in Hong Kong! There were bowel buns, Korean food, Lao food, pretty much every Asian nation that you think of when it comes to street food was there! I ended up getting a Korean fried chicken bow from one spot, a chicken yakitori skewer from another, and a dragon fruit oolong tea from even another stall! Honestly, two hours is plenty of time to wander around. Grab some good food and enjoy! The quality and selection for the price per stall wasn't too bad either ! Every vendor had something for around $15. The craft side was pretty nice too! There were plenty of vendors selling panda themed items, fans, anime things, and mostly crafts and stuffed animals. A lot of the vendors are traveling vendors that are hitting up each city, but they do have spots for local vendors, which was nice! Shout out to Kai Kai, one of our locals for showing up!

First time going to Pandafest and it was great! Parking was a nightmare so definitely arrive a bit before your scheduled ticket time, but it was very quick going though the GA line and bag check to get inside. Upon entering you are given a pin and an inflatable headband. There were plenty of food and drink options, the lines weren't too long either. It was a beautiful day out as well so even if we did have to wait a little bit longer it wasn't bad. Some of the smoke from the grills was a bit overbearing but there is plenty of space away from the tents to eat without smoke in your face! The food was great! We got beef ramen in a mug and you get to keep the mug. The paint was chipping quite a bit but it is still very cute. The grilled squid seemed like the biggest hit of the festival, there was a constant flow of people waiting for it. I also got the BBQ chicken flatbread which was a little on the crunchier side but still tasted great. I also purchased Pandafest shirt merch and was told the backside had panda written on it but mine did not. I was able to get in contact with the festival staff and they offered for me to come exchange it out the next day!! Very quick response and I appreciate them letting me in to exchange out the shirt. Thank you!!

Panda fest was an awesome vibe. The desserts were mostly better than the actual food. I got to satisfy my soup dumplings craving with 5 chicken dumplings for $15. Shanghai Soup Dumplings was the best savory dish by far for me at the festival! I have tried soup dumplings in ChinaTown Ny&Chicago as well as Orlando and these certainly measured up to my standards! The chicken broth inside was flavorful and thick, not watery, and the chilli oil & soy sauce you can add on top went perfectly with the flavors. It filled me up as I arrived starving and this hit the spot. The Can cakes were so decadent layered with fluffy cake and creamy sweet mousse. I tried both the tiramisu and the cookies and cream, both were so yummy. The dairy in the whipped cream/mousse layers did not bother my stomach so I could tell it was high quality. Kabukisoba was doing a but2 skewers and get a free side of yakisoba noodles so I got this. I ordered the octopus skewer and beef short rib which were $12 each. The octopus skewer was beautifully charred on the open fire grill but it tasted slightly fishy and there was a slight teriyaki flavor but it was probably only sauced one time and needed more flavor to taste good. I was glad the texture was not overcooked but wished I got the safer choice of chicken thigh instead of going with the chefs recommendation of octopus. My friend also did not enjoy the short rib and said every bite was super fatty. We finished with the Mango Sticky Rice ice cream which I had my eye on because it was vegan. It's coconut ice cream with coconut jelly pieces, mango, and peanuts on top, with added lychees and the total was $25. The ice cream was very mild and not very sweet so it didn't quite satisfy my sweet tooth but, despite the sweetness lacking, the natural fruits and ingredients made it enjoyable to eat. I turned down all other drink options because I was craving matcha and I thankfully found it right before leaving. The strawberry matcha with ube foam comes in a panda lanyard souvenir cup for $25. It was ceremonial grade matcha and real strawberries so I highly enjoyed every sip of this. I did not want the souvenir cup but they required it for that drink order, I'm okay with what I paid because it was a cute keepsake in the end. I stopped by La Meno jewelry on my way out and scored their last authentic jade stone bracelet that was 18k gold plated as a gift for my sister's birthday so I was super excited about that purchase $48. I enjoyed the live performances that were ongoing the whole time I was there, lots of dancing, singing, and variety! Great family friendly atmosphere with lots of pans merch and Asian goodies for sale.

Everything was over priced. They didn't allow you to bring in water and none of the booths sold waters besides the bar which was awful.

Wow!! Love this free event that Creative City Orlando puts on!…read moreWhy the heck did it take me 11 years to get here.? IMMURSE was amazing!. 10 city blocks of Music art and dance. Eye candy on every corner! I loved the short shows. We also got to see Blue Man group and Circle Soleil..! Next year I'm going both days Friday and Saturday. I didn't get to go into the blow up thing by Dr Phillips I'll try that next year. We came on Friday night and prepaid for parking It was easy and we got here early at 5:00 p.m.. I think next year I'll get here around 6:00 p.m. because that's when everything actually starts to get going. They also have a market where you can buy handmade items.

This event has always been one of my favorites so I was SO happy to hear it was returning after so many years! We got there a little after 6 on Friday night and it took us til about 9:30 to see everything. We watched Cirque de Soleil first which was honestly kind of disappointing, the entire show was less than 5 minutes, they did one song. I was expecting a 10-ish minute show. After they finished everyone just stood around, wondering if that was it or if something else was going to happen. We wandered around the area in front of Dr Phillips, we did not pay to go inside to ride the unicorn slide or sit on the dragonfly swing but they were still beautiful to see! We also stumbled upon a really neat scavenger hunt by a local artist so it was fun looking for clues. As we wandered we saw an aerial show by a local studio that was great! Overall there was so much to look at and interact with, it was a great time. We watched Blue Man Group which was highly entertaining! Towards the end of our journey we wandered down Church St and saw the oddities show and the alleyway for Nectar was SO beautifully done. Overall this was a wonderful event, i'm so happy it's back. Art is so important to every community and I love that so many different types of art were able to be showcased in the City Beautiful.

On paper, it sounded great, but the event itself felt very unorganized. When we arrived, the VIP parking lot was completely unmanned. I spent about 30 minutes trying to find someone to confirm we were parked correctly, but no one seemed to know anything about the parking or who I could even talk to. Honestly, anyone could have parked there without being checked. Inside, the beer stations were set up way too close together, which made the flow of traffic feel cramped even though there was plenty of space available. It was a hot day, and unless you were in the VIP area, there was no shade to take a break. The food trucks were outside the event space with no seating, which made grabbing food inconvenient. The turnout was low, and overall the vibe felt pretty "blah" compared to other beer festivals I've attended. On the positive side, there were a lot of quality vendors, and we had fun interacting with them. I even discovered a few new breweries I'll visit later. But the organization issues kept piling up. As we were leaving, we asked about our VIP glasses at the entrance, and the staff had no idea what we meant. We were sent to the information booth, where my husband was questioned about whether he was really leaving before they finally pulled the glasses out from under the table. There was no signage or clear instructions for VIPs about how to get them. We did get our t-shirts in the VIP section, but again, nothing was clearly communicated. Overall, despite some good beer and friendly vendors, the event was poorly organized from start to finish. Between the parking confusion, lack of shade, and unclear VIP perks, it just wasn't worth it. I won't be going back to this particular beer festival.

What I love about this festival is that it offers so many options beyond beer, giving you the chance to sample a wide variety of products. This year, we had VIP access, which included food from restaurants like Marlow's and Solita's. The food was delicious. One thing that stood out this year was the number of THC-infused beverages and hemp products available, which was new to me. Overall, I enjoyed walking around, trying different products, and collecting the fun swag they hand out. The event is always hosted in the Milk District, and I'm already looking forward to next year's festival.

3.5 stars for a fun foodie event at City Hall…read more My wife and I decided to check out the Taste of Downtown event due to seeing it randomly pop up on our Facebook newsfeeds (guess it knows we Yelp). Taking place on Orange Avenue in front of City Hall, the Taste of Downtown Orlando event involved about 15-20 restaurants and vendors that were giving out food and drinks in exchange for pre-bought $1 dollar tickets. The food and drinks range from 1 to 8 tickets, and most items average about 4 tickets. We arrived at the event around a little after 6 so that we could avoid the crowds. After getting through the security gate, we went up to the table and bought about 40 tickets to ensure we could try everything we wanted to try. We then proceeded to walk around the outside area, where about 1/3 of the vendors were located. Rather than get all the food and drinks at once, we mostly tried to look over all the vendors once and buy food and drinks on our second round. However, some of the food and drink from the vendors really stood out. The 4Rivers table was giving out tasty chicken sandwiches for about 3 tickets, which seemed like a good deal, and the Chef Nite table convinced us to spend 5 tickets on some spicy yet tasty jerk chicken (which was a pretty decent-sized portion). Also outside were several blowup basketball courts, free Red Bull stands, and other random non-food vendors. After about 15 minutes, we proceeded inside, which is where most of the food vendors were located. We walked around from table to table looking at the various foods offered by places like Kasa, Artisan Table, and The Boheme. Aside from the tables, there was also a huge pile of free shrimp offered by Red Lobster! One of the best deals of the night was a 1 tickets seasoned pork stick from Dovecote (good way for a young restaurant to draw attention). While it was fun going from table to table, many of the options usually weren't some of the restaurants' better options. Additionally, when you think about giving 4 or 5 tickets (aka 4 to 5 dollars) for what was essentially a glorified sample, it did give us a little pause. However, the food was decent and the experience was fun. After walking around and trying some options, we went back outside to give a second look at those vendors. What turned out to be the best option of the night was some ahi tuna nachos from Ferg's Depot, which were tasty, messy, and huge! World of Beer (which had two tables for some reason) was offering drinks for 2-4 tickets and free food tickets at their Lake Eola location if we signed up for their raffle/email list. The final option that we grabbed was from City Diner (probably the only food vendor there we haven't dined at), who made a deal with us to get their brisket and cuban for a combined discount ticket price. While we thought things were pretty much over when we went outside, our second run-through was probably equally as fun as the inside experience with the higher-class restaurants. We finished around 7:15 and headed home with full and satisfied bellies. Overall, Taste of Downtown Orlando is a fun and relatively cheap (compared to other similarly-constructed events) 2-hour festival that lets you try some of Downtown's better restaurants. While the food offered is pretty average to your more dedicated foodies and the event pales in comparison to Yelp-sponsored events, the price, location, and experience make this a festival worth checking out each year.

Of course that didn't stop me from scarfing food like a wildabeast. My only regret was coming here dressed in sandals and shorts, bc I seriously was the only one, and felt like i had snuck into the event through a sidedoor.

I did help brainstorm this event 2 years back with the Magic so to see it come to fruition and attend, it was a great treat. It was a fabulous price for a pregame event in addition to lower level tickets to the game. We arrived at 4:30pm and headed to an event room near Jernigan's. We received a goodie back upon arrival along with a drink ticket. There was a bar inside the room along with a nice little food spread from Levy restaurants. I really enjoyed the chicken parm sliders. While we were waiting for the presentation part of the event, we were able to score photos with some Magic dancers, Community Ambassador Bo Outlaw and Magic MC Megan Clementi. Everyone was super nice. When the presentation part arrived we learned verbiage, rules, regulations, and all types of fun things about basketball and the NBA. While I knew a ton of the info, it was really nice to hear it from industry professionals including a female sports reporter. The highlight was hearing from an NBA ref and getting some one on one time and hearing their side of things, it was a cool insight into their life. Of course then Big Baby (Glen Davis) strutted in and he was so pleasantly awesome. He was fun, charming and super nice. Everything was interactive and we could ask questions at any time. After wards we were able to go enjoy the game with everyone and at the end of the game, we scored a photo on the court. =) Overall I had a fabulous time and can't wait for the next one. The only thing I really didn't appreciate was that some females brought their boyfriends/husbands/kids. I don't understand why they couldn't meet them after and just enjoy this female specific event. So that was a bit off setting but what can ya do?
