Looking at reviews elsewhere, I can see that we are not the only ones to be victims of Christine's anger and discrimination. My husband and I received one of their wooden display towers as a wedding present from our parents. The moment we put items on the levels, the piece crumbled. It was clear that the soldering on the metal center rod was poorly constructed. We took all of the pieces into Christine's Creations and from the moment we walked in the door, we were treated like garbage. Never before have I been spoken to so condescendingly. Christine kept repeating over and over again so that we couldn't speak, "We have a 7 day return policy." And when we would try to speak again, she would interrupt saying, "I'm on repeat. We have a 7 day return policy." We weren't even asking to return it. We loved the piece. We were asking that it be replaced (as many merchants have deals with their suppliers that damaged goods can be returned for credit). We were open to having it repaired or even getting a store credit as we LOVE supporting small businesses, especially in Woodstock . We did NOT want cash. She said that we could come back at 4PM and her husband Phil, who is also an owner, would see if he could fix it. So we left and spent an additional 40 minutes in rush hour traffic to come back at 4. Phil was very nice and extremely helpful. I can't stress that enough. Phil was willing to help repair it although he couldn't guarantee it...which honestly was disappointing. What sort of gift shop a) has a 7 day return policy which is barely enough time to get a gift, give a gift, let the recipient use it, and return it if necessary and b) doesn't back their product? I questioned him on that and Christine stormed from the other side of the store yelling, "No. You know what. We aren't going to do anything. This is not in our best interest." Phil was even silent at this point. My husband, who is an Attorney, attempted to advise her that she was in contradiction to her own policy and that in order to protect consumers, certain laws govern every purchase regardless of a specific store's policy. Christine would not let my husband speak. She asked us to leave and when we would not, Christine then proceeded to call 911...not the police station, but rather used an emergency line that could have been used by someone in an actual emergency. My husband and I then left and thanked Phil for his great customer service. I wouldn't ask my worst enemy to step foot inside Christine's Creations. Beware and make sure to check all reviews before visiting Christine's Creations as others have reported similar experiences.

I decided to get a few quotes and Freier Homes just impressed with the thoroughness of the design, follow up and professionalism. We decided to go ahead with their quote because we really liked Kalleb (owner) and his thoroughness + attention to detail. Our stairs came out great! Kalleb had a great team to help get the stairs done as well as a team to add in the landing, which was done in stone. We also had them make a "baby gate" for the stairs and it looks so good! Everything ties in to the original design so once it's painted, I believe you won't be able to tell the difference between what was there and what was added. Needless to say, we look forward to working with Kalleb again on whatever our next project is!

OMG! I wish I would have read the couple of reviews on yelp and Facebook about her before I hired this women. When I first met with her she snarl up her face to questions asked.( skunk face) She did not give out any suggestion at all. Normally decorators give suggestion not her. I thought to myself ok maybe she doesn't want to give out her ideals. That should have been a red flag and the second her demeanor. So I met with her and she had a layouts one that I liked and decided to hired her. She perked up when I wrote her a check for $3868.00. I Gave her a budget of 5,000. I went over a little but I was ok with it because the fabrics looked like we were getting quality items A month after I had a questions about the length of a dining room table I had ordered from her so that I could get dining room chairs so I had texted, called left messages, email nothing She never called me back No respond from her until the items that I had order was ready to be delivered and she did not offer not one explanation either to why she didn't return my calls or text. Should have dropped her then. But I was already in a contract for the sofa and the widow treatments. And I would have lost my deposit. She called a couple week later to say that my sofa and chairs and the valance was ready to be deliver and they are beautiful she said the draperies for the living and dining room are not ready but the valance is I was excited. Ok, so she and her assistants deliver the sofa two chairs and and ottoman, and accent chair. But there wasn't a Valance. So I am looking at the sofa that look pretty bad for it to be custom made. She then asked me for 1,246.00 for the items that she delivered on that day. I wasn't thinking I wrote her a check for additional 1,246.00 I had already given her 3,868.00 deposit. I asked what happen to the Valance she said Oh! Its not ready. No explanation at all. I STOP PAYMENT on that check once I realize that the item in which she had delivered was already paid for. I wanted to cancel it all and I sure tried because of the way she treated this entire situation. But again because of the contract I was not going to give her my money without getting something out of this. She then told me that whenever she deliver items even though you make a down payment she asks for 60% down. That is not in her contract. I wasn't going to pay another dime until I receive all my merchandise. So the sofa was a piece of junk she realize that finally after changing the cover twice she decided to pick it up today and literally her and her assistant picked it up. Thank God I didn't have to keep it. The two chair that I purchased I saw them on Wayfair for $214.99 regular retail is$ 299.00 she charge us $448.00 a piece. One more thing the custom window treatments I specifically told her that I wanted my drapes to have puddle she had one window with the puddle and other one not. I had to tell her about that as well she did correct it, but again time wasted.If I didn't say anything she would have left as is. She Knew the cushion look terrible but did not say a word until I did and then she said a women got the exact sofa with the same fabric and she didn't have that problem. When I asked about the name of the company and the warranty of the sofa and chair she looked at me with a skunk face like I have two heads and said No one ever asked that question. She has this guy to install the window treatments he is ok. I will be switching the rods out for sure. I should have gone with Ethan Allen or another reputable company for custom window treatment. Lesson learn will never ever do business with Decorating Den Interiors again.
