Looking at reviews elsewhere, I can see that we are not the only ones to be victims of Christine's anger and discrimination. My husband and I received one of their wooden display towers as a wedding present from our parents. The moment we put items on the levels, the piece crumbled. It was clear that the soldering on the metal center rod was poorly constructed. We took all of the pieces into Christine's Creations and from the moment we walked in the door, we were treated like garbage. Never before have I been spoken to so condescendingly. Christine kept repeating over and over again so that we couldn't speak, "We have a 7 day return policy." And when we would try to speak again, she would interrupt saying, "I'm on repeat. We have a 7 day return policy." We weren't even asking to return it. We loved the piece. We were asking that it be replaced (as many merchants have deals with their suppliers that damaged goods can be returned for credit). We were open to having it repaired or even getting a store credit as we LOVE supporting small businesses, especially in Woodstock . We did NOT want cash. She said that we could come back at 4PM and her husband Phil, who is also an owner, would see if he could fix it. So we left and spent an additional 40 minutes in rush hour traffic to come back at 4. Phil was very nice and extremely helpful. I can't stress that enough. Phil was willing to help repair it although he couldn't guarantee it...which honestly was disappointing. What sort of gift shop a) has a 7 day return policy which is barely enough time to get a gift, give a gift, let the recipient use it, and return it if necessary and b) doesn't back their product? I questioned him on that and Christine stormed from the other side of the store yelling, "No. You know what. We aren't going to do anything. This is not in our best interest." Phil was even silent at this point. My husband, who is an Attorney, attempted to advise her that she was in contradiction to her own policy and that in order to protect consumers, certain laws govern every purchase regardless of a specific store's policy. Christine would not let my husband speak. She asked us to leave and when we would not, Christine then proceeded to call 911...not the police station, but rather used an emergency line that could have been used by someone in an actual emergency. My husband and I then left and thanked Phil for his great customer service. I wouldn't ask my worst enemy to step foot inside Christine's Creations. Beware and make sure to check all reviews before visiting Christine's Creations as others have reported similar experiences.

I decided to get a few quotes and Freier Homes just impressed with the thoroughness of the design, follow up and professionalism. We decided to go ahead with their quote because we really liked Kalleb (owner) and his thoroughness + attention to detail. Our stairs came out great! Kalleb had a great team to help get the stairs done as well as a team to add in the landing, which was done in stone. We also had them make a "baby gate" for the stairs and it looks so good! Everything ties in to the original design so once it's painted, I believe you won't be able to tell the difference between what was there and what was added. Needless to say, we look forward to working with Kalleb again on whatever our next project is!

If it is not for you, you are still out of your deposit and a fee for her design. Over a period of nine months, I had numerous unanswered emails and texts asking where my items were. After eight months, she finally replied that some were sitting in her warehouse and she would not deliver them until I got my couch. When my items arrived, none were the vibrant colors that were in the pictures shown to me. Even the third-party delivery driver stated that I had not spent enough to get the service one should expect after spending $1,300 on an overpriced couch. He said my issue was that I did not buy the matching loveseat and chair. The first meeting went well. Everything after was abysmal. I felt that I was completely not worth her time or effort and my measly budget (6 weeks of my salary) was an insult to her profession. If you are not spending $10,000+ or do not like everything to be modern, PLEASE keep looking.
