This was the best coffee I've been to here, "Under Woods" coffee tastes like literal dirt, I kid you not.

While I can see the owner's point of view (maximizing profits, minimizing hassles, etc.), my view as a consumer is that, gosh, maybe customer service isn't your forte. In a sea of ticky-tacky stores in the Bayside section of Lincoln City, The Cyber Garden looks like a nice place to hangout. It is spacious and had a bit of an environmental 70s vibe going on when I visited. The two policies that bugged me... -- $2 charge for wi-fi -- no change smaller than a quarter for payment The first one just struck me as odd in this day and age. There are so many places where you get free wi-fi, it just seemed out of place. And the second is just silly. My coffee was fine and the best part of the experience was the name of my drink, the Johnny Cash. Their house blend with a shot of espresso. The problem was the rest of the experience left a bitter taste in my mouth.

I live in Lincoln City and have just started going to Cyber Garden. It is my escape from the hustle…read moreand bustle of work, traffic and stress. As soon as I walk in, I smell the aroma of coffee and tea, hear the lovely music, and see the beautiful global decorations; and any stress instantly melts away. I order tea or coffee from the friendly and helpful staff, then go to the back garden area to listen to the bubbling fountain and feel completely at peace. I don't understand the bad reviews. Maybe it is because tourists just want to use the internet and get angry very easily for some reason... I think if you go in there and are grateful that the staff have made such a beautiful environment and that they put a lot of work into making your order, you will receive excellent service. Of course if you are impatient and rude, they may not be as happy to serve you. Just my opinion, after working at a store in town and seeing how some tourists treat local businesses. I know how rude people can be, and I still have to keep that smile on my face and say thank you! There is going to be a vegan/vegetarian restaurant coming to the building in the next couple weeks. I am an omnivore but very much look forward to trying some tasty treats there! I think the bottom line is this. If you want a relaxing experience in a gorgeous garden, go to Cyber Garden and have some tea that is carefully prepared and sweetly served. On the other hand if you are impatient and cranky and just want internet, I'd rather not have you in my favorite coffee shop, there are other places to get internet. This garden is incredibly special.

Appearance - The vibe of this coffee shop was fun with local artist featured around the walls and beachy parifinalia scattered throughout. Taste - The bagels were amazing! We ordered the sausage, egg, and cheese on a cheddar bagel and a smoked salmon cream cheese on a jalepeño cheddar bagel. The bagel's were fresh and soft. They must have been baked in house! The salmon cream cheese was packed full of salmon. The drinks were also exceptional. The vanilla chai latte was flavorful, but not too sweet. It was easy to tell that the chai was homemade. The Mayan mocha was possibly one of the best specialty coffees I have ever had. The chocolate was accented with a bit of cinnamon which rounded out the South American flavors of the drink. It was a warm day so I went for an iced coffee, however I think it could have been even better warm.

The first time I went, the store was closed after being open for only an hour and a half during a holiday weekend. The next time I was in town for memorial weekend, I set my alarm to get there even earlier, but they were closed an additional day. Luckily, the original attempt I had was somewhat fruitful. I peered sadly against the door. The owner came out and said he was sold out for the day. However, he beckoned me to come in and said he had a Boston creme pie and some donut holes left if I would like them. He said with pride that he handmakes the cream and hand grinds his own cinnamon. I asked him how much it would be. It ended up being nothing, it was on the house. The Boston creme pie was great. The vanilla custard was silky smooth. The dough was light and airy. The donut holes were warm and spicy with the cinnamon and nutmeg. They were very fresh and so pillowy soft. Overall, I can attest to the passion of the family members that have followed in their Grandma Hazel's footsteps. I can't wait until our next trip to Lincoln City when I can finally be able to order other unique donuts from their menu!

My favorite was the tiramisu. They are a different texture/consistency compared to your typical donut, due to the protein flour from Italy that is used. I prefer the texture of a typical donut, but these flavor combinations are worth a try! Price was more than fair!
