STAY AWAY... this is no sportmans paradise but a hell hole. their prices are THRU THE ROOF. i saw them selling some firearms for nearly 50% more than you could buy online, even after shipping and FFL fees it is cost effective to buy online. if your local sure you can go in and get a feel for what is offered but i can almost promise you that it would be worth it to buy elsewhere. the only downside of having to go into their store is the fact that you will have to put up with their rudeness towards customers. Chris is the owner and i can honestly say that he is without a doubt the least professional and an outright scum bag of a salesman. he was more than rude, unhelpful and when I showed him his prices were not competitive he snapped at me and resorted to name calling. pamunkey river guns is not likely to stay in business with that kinda treatment to customers. read more

Owner was very courteous. Very willing to answer questions. Prices are pretty reasonable. My transfer went through with no issues. Will do business there again. read more

I was interested in the store when I saw it in a list of gun shops in my area so I decided to give it a shot. I walked in and was greeted by Chris who is also the owner of the shop. He recommended me a few guns at fairly reasonable prices. While I did not purchase a gun that day I am now more inclined to purchase from him. If you enjoy a more personal experience then you would get at one of the larger stores this is the place to go. I say give this place a shot. read more
