Possibly the worst spa experience of my life - except maybe the massage…read more I had a gift certificate so I went for a day of pampering - Massage, Facial and pedo. Over the phone I booked it in that order... so I wouldn't have to wory about messing up the pedi or having to get up and then lay back down again. First thing - they messed up the order... the toes got ruined before I even finished my appointments... and I was up and down from one room to the next. Then the Facial from hell... seriously, my face was red and swollen for 4 days. It was like the girl had a vendetta against my face. She went to TOWN on extractions - and I'm not the professional, but I was always told that too many extractions is NOT GOOD. And then at the end - the girl actually recommended a DIFFERENT spa because of the types of facials they do! Next was the pedicure - which was just average - I didn't pay attention to what she was doing, but she must've missed a step because I have never had a pedicure just start to come off my toes as fast as this one did... and it didn't flake, it looked like it just rubbed off... just one.. then 3 by 10 days out. by 2 weeks it was embarassing, I had to take it all off. How does that happen? Last was my massage - which was in the back corner room. and it was good. It was actually really good. Except the traffic outside shook the room (bad intersection by the hospital). Too bad - If she worked anywhere else, I'd probably go back to her.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with all the staff greeting you at some point during your service. You really feel like you're part of the family when you visit Indulgence. I was booked in for a pedicure, which was exactly what my tired feet needed...after being scrubbed, cleaned, massaged and polished, they (and my soul!) felt refreshed and relaxed, and I finally felt I could show off my toes in flip-flops again. The prices are absolutely reasonable for the level of service I received, and the location is perfect - central and close by to shopping, banks, grocery stores etc. so its easy to just pop in and rejuvinate for an hour in amongst running your errands! Overall, I was really satisfied with my whole treatment and will make Indulgence my regular spot for all things beauty-related.

The island of St. Croix is small, if I remember its only like 15 miles across, while St. Croix isn't the swankiest of all the USVI its the most real, very down to earth. Located on its own side of the island, further away from the more populated parts of the island is The Buccaneer Hotel, it has a stunning private beach and a few decadent restaurants on its grounds, it also boasts a HUGE golf course with stunning views of the crystal water. The Hideaway Spa is located next to the gym and the hotels boutique store, its small, only a few rooms however you can expect stellar service from its small staff. When my family still lived in the islands I would visit The Buccaneer 4 times a year, I'd book my appointments over the course of an entire day, and leave feeling relaxed and pampered. You can book package deals or go a la carte. My favorite treatments included the Sea Silk Body Polish tacked onto a massage, it leaves your skin feeling elastic and fresh. The Radiant Renewal Facial is stunning after a week spent soaking up sun on beautiful private beaches. And don't forget to throw in a mani/pedi, you cant stroll the beach with gnarly looking toes.
