The owners live on site and are actively involved with the operations. We've been attending doggy daycare for 1.5 years with Guardian Kennels and have worked with the same staff the entire time. Guardian Kennels not only treats our dog well, but it appears they treat their staff well too. To retain quality staff is quite an accomplishment as working with animals (and their humans) isn't an easy job. There is so much more to caring for animals than just the fun parts of playing with them. Staff are continuously cleaning while caring for the animals and managing pick ups and drop offs. Dogs get quality time outside and are grouped by size and energy level to ensure safety and allow all dogs big or small to have a good time. When they are inside they have individual kennels. We were worried about boarding him someplace unfamiliar as he tends to get snarly with strangers. HOWEVER, our experience was unbelievable and Erica was the best! The facility is super clean, tons of indoor and outdoor space. Erica also provided us a tour and let us stay there for a bit while Gerby got acclimated. She definitely made us feel at ease and provided lots of updates and photos. We would highly recommend Yellowstone Pet Boarding if you're ever in need! we're really glad that we were able to take the little guy with us and Erica made it all possible!

I boarded my dog here for five days and called to check on him multiple times (3-4 times). Each time, I was told he was doing well aside from a small bout of diarrhea one day. However, when I picked him up, there were several concerning issues that I believe should have been communicated to me earlier. His elbows and knees were rubbed raw almost like road rash. Even a week or two later, the scabs were still healing. I'm not sure what could have caused this other than being kept on concrete, which I specifically asked about. I was told that beds would be provided. (photo included was taken a week and a half after return) More concerning, when I brought him home, he had blood coming from his mouth enough that it got on my arm when I touched him. Again, nothing about this was ever mentioned in any of the calls or while I talked to her when I picked him up. While there are things I liked about this facility--the website is well done, I appreciated the photo they sent during his stay, and I like that the dogs are kept separate for safety I believe there needs to be more attention to the animals' well-being and more transparency when issues arise. The pricing is affordable, which I can understand being a draw for many people, but unfortunately, based on my experience, I wouldn't feel comfortable recommending this place to a friend.

Many were full along with Pawliday Inn but TJ squeezed me in understanding my situation. Most of the time Eisenhower comes back from boarding kind of withdrawn, very clingy, like it wasn't an ideal experience. This time he was happy to see me but when he got home he was happy, normal, and curled up and slept. He was worn out from healthy play and fun. His eyes bright and happy. The facility isn't flashy but it's clean, the dogs pack up to play but each pup has an individual area for feeding so animal safety is important. That's about the only time dogs will fight is at feeding time. The entire facility is clean inside and out. I return here every year to ski and Eisenhower will see TJ and Pawliday Inn when I have leave town briefly.
