He described what I needed to do, what to use to make it work, and was overall very informative. They will definitely get recommendations from me and I'll be going there from now on. Even the Little Caesars my friends worked at in high school seems unchanged in (not a day over) 5 years. Okay 20. And this barber shop remains a fixture. It doesn't quite harken back to the 1950s, as evidenced by the fact of an all female staff. But this really is a neighborhood, stripped pole, straight razor, barbers. If that neighborhood is the whole of Novi. Case in point was when I stopped in before my high school reunion to get my head shaved (because the other people who were bald at 28 were not on the guest list). While I hadn't been to the shop in years, they instantly recognized me as my dad's older son. To be fair, my dad's a regular here but my stylists remembered facts about me that I didn't. And the three barbers on duty swapped stories about Novi and the surrounding areas that kept me enthralled. While I wish they would have shaved my scalp a little closer (but not with the razor they used on my neck), it was a complete service for $15.00 including the tip. And I'll take that price and a bit of nostalgia over any salon.

Abe was the artist today and he really impressed me. Lots of chairs and barbers here to accommodate any customer rush. The shop is clean and the design of the shop is really classy. Haircut and beard trim cost $40. I believe $25 for the cut and $15 for the beard trim. Lots of parking spots available here. No worries about waiting for a parking spot.
