I love receiving daily pics of the kiddos doing activities, and I like that they do show and tell on Fridays. My 2.5 year old vocab has burst since starting there, which is really cool to see. We haven't had any major issues yet so I'm not sure how those would be handled if something were to come up. They take credit card, and have many different options for full time vs part-time schedules. I also like the variety of lunch options (though for an additional fee per month). You won't receive specific updates on your kiddo for eating, napping, diaper changes, etc unless you ask them specifically, but they do seem responsive to those inquires when I do ask.

October 2025 Review…read more This review has been a long time coming, but we're so happy to finally share how much we love Learn & Play Montessori! My 4-year-old twins are now in their second year here, and they couldn't be happier. They attended the 3-year-old class with Miss Ayesha last year and are now in Room 4 with Miss Dhillon. We truly couldn't be more pleased -- our kids are safe, happy, comfortable, and thriving in their learning. The teachers here genuinely love their students, and it warms my heart to see the way they interact with my children. It's not just their classroom teachers -- every teacher, the front desk team, and the director, Miss Trixie, know our family by name. It feels like a true community. I'm often in and out several times a day due to appointments, and everyone always greets us with a smile, even saying hello to my 2-year-old who doesn't attend yet! The staff consistently go above and beyond. My twins were born prematurely and are developmentally behind their peers, but the teachers here have been incredible in helping them gain confidence, independence, and a strong sense of belonging. One of my twins has cerebral palsy that affects his legs, and earlier this year he underwent major spinal surgery. The support we received from the director, teachers, and the entire school community during and after that time meant the world to us. Learn & Play strikes the perfect balance between fostering independence through Montessori learning and providing the warmth, care, and guidance that every child needs. For the first time ever, my kids tell me they miss school and can't wait to go back -- even on Fridays! Upon meeting Kristina and touring the school, I felt better, but still unsure. The place itself is very clean and well kept. Our son took to Kristina quickly, and after a day or two of seeing the great care they give all the kids there, I was able to be comfortable leaving him there. Our son was there from around 6 months, all the way up to Pre-K. I can't say enough of how great Kristina's is. Our son learned so much; Kristina's has a great curriculum. More importantly, our son adores Kristina. He still asks about her and the school to this day, even though he hasn't been attending since we moved out of the area and started attending Pre-K for the last 6 months. My wife and I both believe that Kristina's was a Godsend. Leaving our son there was 1 less thing that we didn't have to worry about. If I could give more than the 5 stars, I would.

Kristina and Mrs. Sheila are the most loving, caring caregivers you will find. They don't just "watch" your kids but they create a fun learning environment and prepare your child for Kingergarden. My son can write his name, count to 20, knows his colors and shapes. They make it so fun for the kids and have different themes every week. A couple weeks ago they had a camping experience!! She set a tent up in the backyard and they made smores, built a pretend fire, it was magical! This is just one of many, many things they do for the kids. I love that she posts pictures so you can see what your child has been up to. Kristina and Mrs. Sheila truly love the kids as their own and make you feel like you are family. We are so sad Luke is headed to Kindergarden and his time there is over, but I'm so thankful how they helped prepare him. I know he is ready because of how much time and effort they put into his education. I can't say enough wonderful things about Kristina's Preschool.

She loved all of her room 4 teachers and always talking about school on the way home. After being potty trained a couple of months ago, she is now in Room 1 with Ms. Amela. She loves going to school every day and learning new skills and play with her friends. Despite several issues along the way, I also very appreciate Ms. Sarah, the director of the school. She is very informative and knowledgeable. She always follows up with issues that we raised, follow through and come up with solutions that work for us.

I thought now that my daughter has gone through her initial assessment and received her first…read morereport card in kindergarten, it would be a good idea to give others an idea of just how far ahead Miss Helen's Preschool is looking into your child's future. My little girl started at Miss Helen's at the age of 3 and stayed for two years. Thanks to the preschool's early focus on math and reading, my daughter had already met or 95% of her requirements at her assessment by October, two months into the school year. Her kindergarten teacher was so impressed she asked for the preschool's address and contact info so she could check it out herself for her own son. Now we're in Spring and my daughter is still flourishing and exceeding all expectations for the Common Core curriculum, and I know a lot of it is thanks to her foundation she built in preschool. Going beyond just the educational requirements, my daughter loved the preschool, her teachers, her classmates, and all the activities. The school is very clean and organized, and the children are taught to maintain that. All the students are guided not just in learning their basic manners with "please" and "thank you", but also just showing kindness and acceptance for all. The schedule is well-structured for kids, and even separated for a period for the kids preparing for kindergarten. My daughter still asks to visit Miss Helen's on days off, and pulls out the little photo album Miss Helen made of her and her friends, a little gift Miss Helen was so kind enough to make for every graduating student.
