First they don't allow students to choose their science courses in 9 th grade , instead they require them to take in sequence ( physics, chemistry biology). Then the main science course teachers especially AP Physics and Chemistry honor don't know how to teach. Those teachers don't know how to help students to apply their knowledge and concepts to solve problems, and assign homework on regular basis to help students to reinforce what they learn. My kid and the entire class struggle and stress on these subjects. The administration staff don't care. Students have to watch YouTube to learn it themselves. What is the point of paying high tuition for the teachers can't teach and kids have to look for resources from YouTube themselves!! My kid also mentioned that most of the students in the class cheat but the teachers don't know because too busy in texting or they just don't care. I am thinking to pull my kid out of this school next school year. I don't recommend this school at all . Don't waste your hard earned money !

After visiting other private schools, there are attributes that set this school apart. For example, the school provides electives that will get your child ahead of the current industry such as coding, 3D printing, etc. The school staff is very friendly and will answer any and all questions you may have. I would send several emails a day before registering my son with questions and received a response in most cases immediately or within an hour after sending. My son shadowed for two days and immediately wanted to enroll. The teachers are very attentive and partners with parents to ensure your child is successful. Every student is issued their own Chromebook and many of the lessons taught in the classroom is taught using the laptop. The school has a focus on technology and uses apps that shows grades and upcoming calendars to help students and parents manage assignments and exams. This is a school that I would consider thinking ahead of the curve and innovative which is needed as there is a lot of competition for jobs in the Bay Area. I believe this school will provide my child a foundation for success. The school provides college planning counselors that will meet with your child individually. The campus is a newer building which also made my decision to enroll my child even easier. If you are looking for a school for your child 6th-12th grade, you should consider Crosspoint Academy. The school has an Open House this Saturday, 2/4/17 from 10am to 2pm. It will be worth your time to visit.

Not only do they emphasize academic progress, they also balance the curriculum out with fun, play, music, foreign language (Spanish) and teach to make sure the students become well rounded citizens of the Earth. The student body is already very well diversified! The school is very well organized under the school principal Ms. Kaya. Staff of whom we have interacted with are extremely nice and responsive to any concerns. Tuition is one of the most reasonable you can find in the whole Bay Area, the value each student get is tremendous! The tuition even includes extended care which in already pays for itself! Especially for busy family with both full time working parents. Public schools usually ends around 2:30, but your tuition includes extended care until 6:00! I think my husband and I are both in awe, every month, on how little we are paying for a "private school" education. In fact the tuition is very similar to our local public schools after school program, and that program was suppose to already run by a registered non profit organization! Our family is extremely grateful that we have found this school. And grateful for all the teachers and staff our children have had so far. Big shout out to Ms. Mary (which my children talk about everyday, even if they have already moved on from her class), Ms Divine, and Ms. Contreras. Special thanks to all the administrative staff: Ms. Maria, Ms. Hernandez, Mr. Hawkins, Ms. Mary-Ann and countless others! I am surprised that not more people know about this hidden gem! Maybe the parents of students going to the school wants it to stay that way! The way we found out about this school was a referral by our friend. I heard that the Union City campus is already at full capacity every grade and is baffled why the CV campus is not yet. But don't take my word for it! Contact the school and take a tour yourself. You don't know what your kids are missing!

There was nothing wrong with public school, but we wanted more for our children as they grew into young adults. We first learned about All Saints when my husband coached their boy's basketball team. Both of us were from Christian and Catholic backgrounds and we found the moral and spiritual guidance intertwined with their sports program complementary to our parenting style. We decided to transfer our children from public to private schools simply due to the opportunities, rigor, and environment that private schools afford. Each family views and values education differently, and in our case- my father instilled in me that "education is something that no one can take away from you." Therefore, we value a holistic and realistic education that provides many opportunities. How children perform and function in school is the sum of familial values and school environment. All Saints Catholic School complemented our familial values based on the following: 1. Spiritual, religious, and moral compass: Opportunities to develop faith formation simultaneously with the curriculum. Opportunities for us as a family to discuss current world events in a particular context and offer positive coping skills. 2. Academic rigor: Low classroom counts, better teacher-to-parent relationships, opportunities for science camps and science fairs. 3. School/parent environment/ sports: The administration is dedicated to the learning and safety of the children. When public schools were still distance learning, this institution had protocols for early in-classroom teaching (a lifesaver for me as I was on the frontlines in the ICU). Social events that are both wholesome, fun, and spiritual- Fiesta, Crab Feed, Fun Run, school dances, etc. They have a well-established CYO program with dedicated and league/diocese-winning coaches. 4. Kids Klub: after-school caregiving for those who require extended care. 5. Robust choir/ music program with a dedicated choir/ music director. 6. Safety of the campus My child is nearing graduating from All Saints and will soon transition to high school. My eldest was offered a generous scholarship at a prestigious private high school in Oakland but instead chose to attend a distinguished private high school in Hayward. Both were blessings and opportunities that I believe would not have been available to us if we had not chosen All Saints Catholic School. Many of our fondest memories originate with activities and events sponsored by All Saints and the Oakland Diocese. I highly recommend All Saints Catholic School- and if you'd like to know more-- find out yourself!

We're a military family without relatives nearby, and this school has truly become our extended family. We've been part of this community since my kids were just a few months old, and I can't say enough amazing things about the school. Why we love Brave Christian: ** Warm, family-like community - The staff and teachers genuinely care--it feels like home - My kids are deeply loved and supported every day. ** Engaging, thoughtful programming - Daily fun and enriching activities - Creative crafts (with special keepsakes for parents!); I look forward to all the fun "gifts" the kids make throughout the year. - Personalized yearly binders filled with drawings, photos, and memories that capture the kids growth and development ** One-of-a-kind facilities - Huge indoor gym - Outdoor courtyard with play structures and swings - Outside garden with weekly gardening activities - Auditorium ** Unique extras - Onsite Spanish teacher throughout the week - Pet lizard and bird to greet the kids each morning - Visits to the kindergarten classes up the hill for fun interaction with older kids - Special events like petting zoos and visits with exotic animals ** Family & community events - Harvest Festival - Ice Cream Socials - Science & Art Fair - Other onsite events that bring families together - Fun themes like Dr. Seuss week ** Nutritious (and fun) snacks provided that kids enjoy - A lot of the "snacks" are even heated/warm! ** Great communication & safety - Mobile App with daily updates and photos - Strong onsite security for peace of mind ** Support for military & families - Military discount + acceptance of military subsidies - Sibling discounts available ** Above-and-beyond teachers - Some have even become our trusted babysitters outside of school It's worth noting that Brave Christian is a faith-based school (as the name suggests), but the community is diverse, inclusive, and welcoming to families of all backgrounds and beliefs. They foster an environment where everyone feels respected and valued. At this age, the focus is on helping children grow into kind, respectful, and compassionate humans. This amazing team has helped raise my kids, and I've truly watched them flourish under their care. I'm so grateful we found this place. Per my child, most of the students are friendly and from good educational families. We are giving 3 stars for class teachers and their teaching skills. But there are several negatives about this school. Even though all parents knows about it we can't do nothing. We are not able to switch to another school as there are no better options at this location. Negatives: 1. They raise their monthly fees every year but they don't improve any quality to their services. My kid always complains about spider webs in the bathrooms and it's always very dirty. So, he refuses go to bathroom and holds for whole day. 2. No extra curricular activities like sports tournaments like running, soccer, basketball, table tennis or any competitive events for building children's physical and mental strengths. 3. No fun events; students should have singing and dancing, cultural events, talent show, etc. 4. No sports equipments provided to students; they could have provided at least these basic sports equipments: PingPong tables, chess boards, soccer balls, basketballs, volleyballs, etc. So, kids can have fun on recess time or after school time. We hope school administration will take necessary action work on it to improve.

It is selfish of Redwood Christian to cause major traffic along a major Bus Route that is used by other students at nearby schools. In comparison to other schools, this car system is the worst of the worst. Although a response may be that allowing students to be dropped off at the back entrance near Via Vista/Neilsen will cause disturbance to the residents in that area, at least that door is not part of a major Bus route (93, which is used by many students: Arroyo High School, KIPP Schools, Bay Elementary, Bohannon Middle School, and even more schools further down). Because cars won't move at all on the one-lane street unless they get into your school, it causes the Bus to be stuck there for 5-10 minutes for such a short distance. The negative impact of such delay is a late bus of regularly 10+ minutes, up to 20 minute delay. It is not simply "take an earlier bus" if the school can decrease traffic.
