We're so happy with the level of care and education Level Up provided my daughter. When she first started 2 years ago, she was a shy and timid little girl. I remember her first Christmas concert, she was in the back and just stood there quietly cause she was so shy. Fast forward a year and a half later, she's now singing confidently in the front row of her graduation performance. When she first started, I would ask who my daughter's friends were and she would just say "teacher". Now, all she talks about is all the friends she's made and how much fun she's had at school. She loves her teachers and loves to talk about everything she learned at school. I have to admit there was a bit of growing pains with administration the first year, but now the communication has been great and everything is so well organized. They even had Mother's Day and Father's Day performances. You can tell how much the staff loves the kids. We're gonna miss this place when my daughter leaves for kindergarten.

I searched for a daycare/school for my son for months and level up montessori was the perfect fit. All the teachers are super kind and patient. My son loves going to school and socializing with kids his age. Also, the teachers are very fast in responding and communicating through the app. You get daily pictures of activities they learn.

I keep writing reviews because I'm so happy with this place. My kid has a ASD diagnosis. While he is on the lower end of the spectrum, he has some challenges. My kiddo never went to Pre-K because of COVID. I loved my daycare. Don't get me wrong. He was there from the time he was 4 months until 5 years. They absolutely took care of him. However it was a daycare and not a school so they did daycare things and not pre k things. I've had my kiddo here since April and I've seen tremendous growth in his speech, his critical thinking, and his mathematical processing. Again I keep reviewing this place because they keep impressing me. My kid has grown so much. This place has been a blessing! My kiddo learns so much and they are just so attentive and nice. Having a kiddo with ASD and seeing him grow so much has been amazing. Before coming here my kid couldn't write his name. His kindergarten teacher tried but until he went here I didn't see progress. He can write his name, he's doing math in his head without his fingers, he's speaking and articulating himself so well. I know it's because he's getting the one on one attention he needs. He loves coming here and I love dropping him off.

My son Harvey has been with Little Explorer by Yasmin for almost a year since he was 3yo. I had to…read moreswitch my son from a montessori daycare to Little Explorer after 3 months because I noticed my son did not fit well with Montessori program. He is someone who is very active and loves playing outdoors. I researched the difference between Reggio Emilia vs Montessori, and I feel that my son will fit better with Reggio Emilia philosophy. I have toured many schools before (kindercare, le petit academy, ABS french preschool, Strafford school and many others montessori schools...) in Hayward, Castro valley, San Leandro, Oakland, Fremont and Dublin/Pleasanton. Then i found Little explorer and Yasmin daycare is exactly what I need. Her house has a very big backyard that has full set up of sensory areas : - Sand pit, Mud kitchen, little fridge, cooking tools; - Water area- rainbow splash water play, tubes, cups, bowls. -Slides/Bikes/play house/paint area; -Outdoor tables/chairs, -Sink for hand wash. As for inside of the house, Yasmin sets up based on reggio emilia philosophy and her theme change all the time. My son has the best time at Yasmin place. On Fridays, Yasmin does cooking with the kids (fresh banana bread, milk bread, cupcakes, muffins, pizza..). On the kids birthday, Yasmin also celebrated each kid bday and have them play in bouncy house and foam bubbles party. My son really loves going there, he learns through play (STEM, science, water, sensory) and he can enjoy so much freedom and independence. Kids 18mon-5yo should be enjoy themselves and learn through play interaction. I sincerely appreciated Yasmin for her amazing care and an excellent Reggio Emilia teacher. I also sent my older daughter when she is off school and summer to Yasmin as well. Both of my kids love Little explorer. Highly recommended Little Explorer for future toddlers and parents!

I was so relieved to find Little Explorers, and I couldn't be happier! Although this is a new preschool, Yasmin (the owner) has many years of experience as a early childhood educator and it shows. She has an incredible amount of patience and is very nurturing to every child in her care. I also LOVE her curriculum because it's nature and play-based which is so important because a lot of child development research shows that little kids learn best through play. She has a wonderful indoor AND outdoor play area that is full of toys and activities that promote creativity, fine motor skills, gross motor skills and problem-solving skills. My son is always excited to explore all the different play areas and many times he'll keep on playing even after I've arrived! The other thing that I love is how much literacy is an important part of the Little Explorers curriculum. My son loves books and reading, so I was thrilled to find a program that includes a lot of story time and access to a wide variety of books. Because her home-based preschool is located in the Hayward Hills, the kids get to see wild turkeys, deer, a variety of birds, and other wildlife on a daily basis! I also love that it's located on a cul-de-sac so it's a very safe and quiet area. And if that weren't enough, Yasmin updates me on my son's meals, nap times and diaper changes on a daily basis using an app called BrightWheel. I'm honestly so grateful that I found Little Explorers! Thank you Teacher Yasmin!

Upon meeting Kristina and touring the school, I felt better, but still unsure. The place itself is very clean and well kept. Our son took to Kristina quickly, and after a day or two of seeing the great care they give all the kids there, I was able to be comfortable leaving him there. Our son was there from around 6 months, all the way up to Pre-K. I can't say enough of how great Kristina's is. Our son learned so much; Kristina's has a great curriculum. More importantly, our son adores Kristina. He still asks about her and the school to this day, even though he hasn't been attending since we moved out of the area and started attending Pre-K for the last 6 months. My wife and I both believe that Kristina's was a Godsend. Leaving our son there was 1 less thing that we didn't have to worry about. If I could give more than the 5 stars, I would.

Kristina and Mrs. Sheila are the most loving, caring caregivers you will find. They don't just "watch" your kids but they create a fun learning environment and prepare your child for Kingergarden. My son can write his name, count to 20, knows his colors and shapes. They make it so fun for the kids and have different themes every week. A couple weeks ago they had a camping experience!! She set a tent up in the backyard and they made smores, built a pretend fire, it was magical! This is just one of many, many things they do for the kids. I love that she posts pictures so you can see what your child has been up to. Kristina and Mrs. Sheila truly love the kids as their own and make you feel like you are family. We are so sad Luke is headed to Kindergarden and his time there is over, but I'm so thankful how they helped prepare him. I know he is ready because of how much time and effort they put into his education. I can't say enough wonderful things about Kristina's Preschool.

He's leaving TK knowing his ABCs, basic addition and subtraction, counting to 100, some sight words, and more. The kids do a wide variety of hands-on activities in TK, including crafts, science experiments, and even cooking. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks are included in the tuition, which was a huge help. I typically didn't pick my son up until 5:45pm because he refused to leave if I came earlier. He was always having too much fun! I want to add that I just adore the kindergarten teacher, Miss Norita, and I am sad he won't be attending kindergarten at Elmhurst. After requesting a list of days that they are closed during the year, as it differed from the dates they disclosed during the time of enrollment, they terminated my baby's enrollment. Instead of just providing the dates, they gaslit me stating that I was the only parent who inquired about specific dates. One, I don't care what any other parent does with their kid, that has nothing to do with me and mine. Two, that is just not true, as my baby's teacher told me that she overheard the director explaining to several parents about the excessive and random dates that they are closed. In the contract, they state they are closed from Christmas Eve through New Year's Day, that's reasonable. But in reality they are closed from the 19th through New Year's Day. They give parents three weeks notice of these non-contracted closures. They also close the school during the week to clean the school, instead of just cleaning or hiring cleaners every weekend like most other preschools and daycare centers. As these "cleaning closures" are few and far between, I also inquired about how often they were cleaning the school as they claim to be very "clean environment" focused during the tour. I doubt they clean regularly as my child was consistently sick. Literally, after she got over one sickness she was right back sick with something else. It also needs to be noted that they have an abundance of cameras outside of the school but absolutely zero inside. Parents are not allowed in to see their kid's class (only during the tour), they force pick up and drop off outside. It's crazy that my baby was only there for less than three months. They clearly realized I was not the parent to just lay down and go for whatever when it comes to my children. I'll proudly be as disruptive as I need to be behind my kids, as any mother should be. Way too secretive to be caring for people's children and they need to be watched more closely by the parents who still have children attending.

Four years later, my son was born and he started attending what is now the Eden Early Childhood Development Center since he was 4 months old. He will be three next month. This preschool/daycare is a gem in the middle of what may not necessarily be the best neighborhood. The staff are all new, caring and highly experienced. The improvements can be seen in the physical space. The walls are filled with beautiful artwork created by the children. Pictures of the kids and staff are on the outside showing the amazing guests that come in (music teachers, police) as well as the special projects (cooking, gardening). My son talks so much and so fast and always has a smile on his face when I pick him up. The teachers are inspired by and using the Reggio Emilia Approach. For the price we pay, we are happy that this is the philosophy of the center. The other families are friendly and their children are happy, too. It is not located in the most plush surrounding area and neighborhood, but the community organizations in the neighborhood do support each other as far as I know and the staff keep everyone safe and sound.
