If this is your first time, like it was mine, you get a tour of the facility which includes lots of sitting and lounging areas with complimentary coffee, tea, drinks, and snacks. Then there's a meditation room with soft chaise lounges and a large koi pond in the back. There's a variety of massage rooms to accommodate both individuals and multiples. Tastefully decorated, friendly staff, and a good location. After arriving, I was ushered into the massage room and discussed what I wanted with the masseuse. I will say, the room was cold, or at least colder than I'd like when I'm going to have to undress. The bed did have some heating, so that was nice, tho my feet were cold mostly. My two younger sisters went with me to Hairtique (which is near where one sister lives) to see Amanda (who is a friend of the other sister) and she did a fantastic job! What a relief! At other salons, a lot of stylists have struggled with my hair, especially after drying it, when it starts to puff up and wave in unexpected ways. They usually just hand me the hair drier and ask me to dry it like I do at home but, lacking my own tools and product, I really can't. So, in the past, I've always ended up leaving feeling slightly embarrassed about my hair and eager to get home and fix it. At Hairtique, it was a different story! :D While drying my hair, Amanda paused, saw the problem and addressed it skillfully, wrangling my unruly hair into beautiful shape. She knew exactly what to do! THIS time around, I walked out of the salon feeling fantastic and LOVING my hair. I am SO impressed! Needless to say, I am coming back, not only for the wedding prep but for future haircuts. It's almost an hour drive for me but an outstanding haircut is worth the trip! Oh, and the price was fantastic too! The haircut and wash were very reasonable and I left with amazing hair. The products they sell are high-end, professional products and a bit higher than the some drug store brands but it's really great stuff. I bought some hair oil on my way out and I love it.
