Just got a diamond glow facial with Elias and my entire experience was pleasant and relaxing from start to finish. I've been very satisfied with my previous visits for wax hair removal. However, today Chris treated me. I had three issues: - I've never been charged extra on a back & shoulder wax to do the back of my arms to where my T-shirt sleeves meet my biceps. Chris charged me $25 for that which basically doubled the price of my services Today is Friday and I'm traveling Monday so he had me over a barrel. I have probably been waxed 50 times and have never been charged extra for that before. - I clearly pointed to where my T-shirt sleeve meets my biceps and told him that's where I wanted him to stop removing hair off my arms, but he went down to my elbows on both sides. - I speak many languages and I am quite world traveled. I get along with everyone. In my youth, I used to protect approximately 100 different gay acquaintances and friends from bullies & gay bashers in the 80s in Hollywood. I felt like Chris disapproved of me because I'm a straight, white male. I tried very hard to continue being friendly, sincere and polite towards him. I'm not sure if I won him over by the end or not. However as a paying customer, I shouldn't have to be treated with aversion or spend my time and energy trying to win over the person that I'm paying to serve me. Overall, it seems like they have a good staff and a good business model however, in the future I would avoid Chris as a provider for the above listed reasons. read more

I had an appointment here with the esteemed AMY and oh my gosh I'm so glad it was her. She is amazing and knows EVERYTHING about skin! She put so many things on my face and explained everything to me. I hope she adopts me. I'm coming back next month! To be a little bit more specific I got a Hydrofacial and it was my first time ever coming to a place like this or doing anything like that to my face. Amy saw a white pustule in my EYE OMG but I was too afraid to get it out. But she has the all seeing eye and can SEE shit like that. God she was incredible. It smells good in here. It's clean in here. I felt comfortable almost ripping my clothes off as soon as I walked in the door. I could tell Amy literally anything - she was so cool oh man. Today I tried Palmer Skin for the first time and got an amazing massage and facial from Elizabeth! I have been frequenting another local spa, but wasnt 100% satisfied with their services, so I decided to start branching out and looking for my next "home". Scheduling appointments is quick and easy using the website- and they offer early appointments, which is nice. The best part about Palmer Skin is that they not only offer treatments that would make for a really relaxing spa day (HydraFacial, lash/brow treatments, jelly masks), but they also offer clinical treatments like IV Peels, microneedling, DiamondGlow resurfacing treatments. They also offer whole body treatments that all sound so amazing that I would find it impossible to choose one. I went to the Hillcrest location, which was easy to find with lots of street parking (this may change depending on time of day). My esthetician, Elizabeth, was super friendly and very knowledgeable about skin care and all things related to muscle tension, back pain and physiology. She let me fall asleep on the massage table and followed up my appointment with feedback on problem areas in my upper and lower back (I always appreciate when a massage therapist lets me sleep and saves the talking for later). Elizabeth also worked with me on creating a treatment plan for the pain I've been having in my upper and lower back. In addition to a massage, I got a dermaplaning service because it's a service that is somewhat hard to find in my area. The service included a facial and foot treatment, which was amazing. Once my appointment ended, I immediately booked my next treatment with Elizabeth. The front desk staff were a couple of the cutest people I've ever seen, and they were friendly and happy to assist in scheduling my next appointment. I look forward to my next appointment! read more

I hate writing negative reviews, but sometimes you just have to. I get waxed semi regularly and usually go to a girl at EWC but I needed an appointment right away, Chris, I believe his name was, waxed me a week ago and I still have bruises on my inner thighs. Waxing is pretty painless for me at this point but when he started waxing my inner thighs is started hurting as he started tugging since the wax wasn't coming off in one pull. I figured after the first leg he'd try it different on my second leg but he did the same thing and tugged too much which led to the bruises. I've never been bruised before ever from a wax and I had a student (friend) wax me once before and even they didn't leave me bruised. I don't know if it's a training thing or what but definitely not going back and maybe sticking to women for waxes. Also, the small talk was absolutely awkward and weird. read more

Waxing of course is not always the most pleasant experience but Tim makes it a breeze. He is fast, precise and makes the process as painless as possible. Just got out from a facial! Feel like a Big Scam to me! I explained to the beautician what the condition of my skin is and what I suffer from! I paid $ 250 for a 40 min treatment! It's never happened to me. I have problematic skin that requires in-depth treatment and I also mentioned this to the therapist and he said he can treat it. I left the treatment very dissatisfied. The skin feels itchy. When I mentioned the things at the end of the treatment none of the clinics employees there was a solution to give me! Feeling very disappointed They just asked for my money!
