I visited Lancaster Urgent Care twice, hoping my first disappointing experience was just a fluke,…read morebut unfortunately, it was not. This facility seems to prioritize profits over patient care. The staff appears to consist largely of young individuals who are either still in training or simply lack the necessary knowledge about medicine. From the moment I walked in, it felt more like a business transaction than a healthcare visit. Their focus seemed to be on billing rather than providing quality medical services. Not only are their charges significantly higher than other urgent care facilities, but the quality of care I received was also subpar. I can confidently say that I will never return to this place. If you're looking for competent care and reasonable prices, I suggest seeking treatment elsewhere.

On and off fever, chills etc. this place told us that they take Kaiser and we paid a $20 copay. Then they said he needed blood tests and told us they're covered by our insurance. So we said okay. Same thing with an x-ray, they told us it would be covered. Well, we went ahead and took a visit to the labs and informed the urgent care that we did the tests and they came back saying that it's not covered by insurance!!!!!! The urgent care in a matter of 12 hours went back on what they said and told us the services were not covered by our insurance!! Avoid this place, this is a money mill, they just want to tell you that you need this and that and it's covered but in reality it's not. Horrible place. They will be reported for unfair billing practices and misleading the care of the patients.

I was referred to FHMC Lancaster by a relative while I was visiting Palmdale. I've been struggling…read morewith uncontrolled diabetes (DM2), high cholesterol, and elevated triglycerides for over a year. I used to go to a clinic in Sun Valley, but my lab results never improved--so I figured it might be time for a fresh perspective. When I visited FHMC, I asked to be seen by a doctor. The front desk staff greeted me with professionalism and warmth. They explained my options clearly--I could do a telehealth visit with a doctor or see the provider in their Van Nuys clinic. Since I was already in Palmdale, I asked about alternatives, and they offered me a same-day appointment with their Nurse Practitioner. I'm so glad I said yes. The NP was knowledgeable, compassionate, and really took time to listen. She revised my medications and gave me realistic, clear lifestyle guidance. I appreciated her genuine concern and how she educated me without judgment. Before I left, I told the front desk how great the NP was, and they mentioned they have three NPs who are all caring and well-liked. A month and a half later, I returned for bloodwork and a follow-up. This time, I saw a different NP, and the results blew me away: * Cholesterol: 141 130 * Triglycerides: 162 113 * A1C: 8.3 5.8 I was beyond happy--relieved, actually. For the first time in years, I felt hopeful about my health. As a small thank you, I bought donuts for the staff from a nearby shop. This clinic treated me with compassion and care, even in a stressful healthcare climate. Thank you, FHMC Lancaster!

Absolutely horrible experience I was there for an…read moreoutpatient surgery which took minutes. For some unknown reason I was intubated and they were so reckless, I left with fat and split lips, as if I was punched in the mouth With one notable exception the nurses were terrible they were unable to find a vein for the IV, but kept trying 4 times, until I told them to get someone else that finally got the IV started While in recovery, I was feeling poorly and asked for some juice or something to eat, the nurse told me I would be released soon and can eat at home. I told her I'm a diabetic and have been fasting for more than 12 hours she then says I don't think we have anything but I'll go check , just before surgery I saw them roll a full cart of food and drinks past my stall, that nurse mentioned they are restocking the food for surgery patients, so I know they had plenty of things to eat and drink, after awhile the nurse came back with just a sandwich and nothing else no juice or anything to drink. It's as if they don't care about their patients Additionally upon arrival I parked and followed signs through a building and down a long hallway to get to a door, which on the other side had someone sitting there saying I can't come in this way. So even though it was difficult for me to walk, she made me go back the way I came drive my car to another entrance and enter the building that way. The management thinks that's an acceptable solution. Rather than having signs asking patients to use another entry, they kept the signs up directing patients to essentially a dead end. No regard to patients with poor mobility.
