I completely agree that Palm Place Nursery offered us store credit, which I declined. Palm Place Nursery also did recommend that we use a professional turf installer to measure the area and the one that we did use did do a fantastic job. I can also confirm that I did let the staff know that I would be leaving negative feedback online, which is what these platforms are in place for.
What you have incorrectly reported in your response is that I did the measurements myself, when in fact we had 3 different turf installers to measure and quote the area. I am happy to provide the details of each of these individuals to anyone who is interested to confirm that they measured our space and quoted on the job.
I did not email or send "rudimentary drawings" of the space, which can obviously be easily proved. I provided the measurements from the quote that our turf installers had given us to Palm Place Nursery over the phone. I did not work in conjunction with the sales staff, instead asking them to provide the best solution from the information provided, as I have no experience in this field and didn't have any idea about what off cuts can and can't be used.
The dimensions of the area did not change at all, as our turf installer who had originally provided the measurements that we then provided to Palm Place Nursery, also completed the job. Once again, happy to provide his details to anyone who would like to verify.
Ultimately, we are disappointed that a better solution wasn't put forward from the start that would have saved us a considerable amount of money and not left us with a 2x5m piece of synthetic grass that was never needed.
