Rudy was the instructor. He was professional and thorough in walking through each step. He made sure everyone's questions were answered before moving on. If you contact One Beat you can request for him to either come to your office, house training or go to their Miramar location. One Beat provides a small medical emergency reference book, snacks and a compact barrier bag for use during an emergency situation where you need to provide CPR. The price went up. I believe it was $65, however I then used a 10% off promo code. There is plenty of parking, the faculty appears clean, there is an elevator to go to the second floor which is where the classroom is. The building is not far from I-75 which makes it easy to get to. Enjoy!

The place is far if you live in north Dade County. I thought I was on my way to the Keys, LOLLLL. However, it is WORTH the drive! John was our instructor for the BLS/ACLS skills and he is the TRUTH!! A wealth of knowledge and he makes you feel comfortable and confident in your knowledge and skills. So, I am unsure if you have a choice to pick your instructor. If you do, you can't go wrong with John. This place is clean and plenty of room to practice your skills. It was only 4 people in my class. So, I can appreciate the small class size because it allows you ample time to review, asks questions, and practice your skills. I cannot recommend this place enough! Clean facility and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Once you complete your skills and testing, they will offer to print your card(s); if you would like. I can honestly say that I've walked out of every one before this one not knowing WHAT I would do in an actual emergency situation except maybe have a heart attack myself. I went in with emails to read etc expecting a DVD led class and a half-asleep instructor who hands out a written test at the end that an average 12-year-old could pass. This was different than any class I've ever attended. I was glued to the instructor, Luis, the entire way through. He put the information in familiar terms and situations that you WILL remember in a life and death situation. I never realized how easy the concepts were and that even I could be instrumental in saving someone's life in an emergency situation until now. I am so thankful for the amount of effort and strategy Luis put I to this recertification class. I will never think of taking another one again anywhere else. The difference is unmeasurable, I can't believe other courses are allowed to keep teaching the same mundane way when there are classes like this available. I got home today and practiced what I learned some more, fully confident I would be able to handle a real life situation if god forbid it ever arises! In addition to that, there is the ongoing effort to educate people in health and safety, first aid, CPR, swimming and HIV/AIDS. And that is just what they do for Miami/Dade and Monroe Counties. Everyone is super nice and helpful! From the moment I registeref as a volunteer they took care of me. I went through training and courses and was able to start right aways. They find the perfect spot just for you! Red Cross does so many things it is increadible. From providing food/shelter/clothes/fire canvassing events and more. People here are ready to help 24/7 and most of them are just volunteers to! The organisations is lead by great people with a great vision! This particular office is open Monday -friday from 9-5. You can always come in or call! There is always someone at the front desk. Also you can get there by car or by bus very easily. The 27 stop right infron of the Red Cross! Because the Red Croos is volunteerbased and doesnt have that much funding any donations are welcome.
