The owner of the store was very polite. He didn't treat me like a customer. He treated my wife and I like we were good friends for years. I'm Anglo and my wife is Filipina. That didn't matter to him. I also found rice by the pound so I can make sticky rice balls at home in my tiny rice cooker. Living alone now means 5 or 10 pound bag of rice last too long.
