I inquired about the internet providers for this apartment complex and was surprised to learn there is only one option available. In today's market, residents have outgrown having only a single provider--having choices is now expected. Limited internet options were a major deciding factor for me. Im a current resident tenant for 10 years. I have always gotten my issues resolved whenever I have a problem. I recently had my bathroom renovated, and they finished the project as promised. I sincerely don't recommend this spot to live, manager is harassing, dead rats in pool which is unsanitary for children, dirty play ground and no rent control. On top of all that, management tends to threaten about towing your car. They let others slide with the office parking. I was once followed by management. The assistant manager walked in after I said she couldn't come into the apartment and after I told her what it was she left and gave me mad attitude. She was touching my personal stuff as if she had every right. I have witnesses. They harass you if they find out you don't have papers. read more

Friendly management. 1 stars because on Zillow it says $1,715 for a 1 bedroom & after I drove 45min for a tour, ready to sign applications, they tell me in person it's actually $2,700 and that the "$1,700 was a deal from 2 months ago & not available anymore" . Could've told us that over the phone before I wasted my time and gas. Fix your false advertisement and communicate better instead of getting hopes up & wasting people's time. read more

Recently moved in had a great move in experience. Rosa, Crystal and Livy were great and made the move in experience quite easy. This is my second time moving in to palm gate as I just came from living out of state for a couple of years and I must say it's not high end cabinets or luxuries but they are definitely not as bad as all these one star reviews lead you to believe. After several humiliating calls to YOUR TEAM, i will not call them again!!! They are ineffective. I still have not gotten my $200.00 deposit back and its been over a week. The TEAM u refer too cannot help me get my deposit back. The TEAM u r referring too REFUSES to give me CORPORATES nu.ber so i can demand my deposit back. My attorney is looking into this abuse of power. If this is how they handle business im glad they didnt rent to me. I read reviews and found some that said there were rats, not mice, and roaches. At first I thought it was nice and everything and they told me there was gonna be a cleaning crew for the laundry rooms and etc. well laundry rooms are dirty we always call to help clean and they said they will get someone to clean. Also parking was not the best we keep requesting for a parking spot or another since we have two cars. They said they would give us another spot and it's been already more than a few months and nothing. They said they have security late at night but we don't see them. There's been multiple incidents with people being drunk in the area or people staring weird. I don't recommend renting. It's hard to get a hold of someone to come check out the apartment when a sink is broken or the bathroom Is not flushing. read more

Well I'm going to start by being fair and giving them 2 stars because the management team is friendly and they try to solve the issues that you might have. When it comes to the buildings, they honestly are terrible, the place should be shut down and fumigated and maybe re-built, the buildings are old, ugly and the walls are paper-thin, I lived here for a year and I had multiple issues. 1. The place is infested with cockroaches, my apartment was fumigated 3 times in a year and they never went away, cockroaches were coming from everywhere, even coming down the ceiling fans and falling on my bed when we were asleep, also I had to throw an expensive coffee maker away due to these insects using the tubes as their nest, we were cleaning every day and it wouldn't help. 2. I had water pouring down my ceiling as soon as of the first rainy day, we had to evacuate the apartment for a day so they could tear down the wall and build a brand new one. My suits got moldy and I was never compensated for it. 3. The floor was just covered with a cheap and thin vinyl, I couldn't think about moving my furniture because it would damage the floor. Also, when my first year was almost up, I was notified of a rent increase of 7-8% and when I complained about all the problems and they were still increasing my rent, their answer was: This is the last year without rent control in LA county and the company has to take advantage of it. On top of it I got charged a ridiculous amount for "Painting" the apartment charged to my security deposit, when I left the walls clean and just as new. Of course I left as soon as I could and found a WAY BETTER, bigger and cleaner apartment for a better price. But again, I can't complain about management, they are friendly and could only do so much. I attached some pictures of the issues described. And to respond to Jennifer, the Manager that is always replying to the reviews, I called your office directly and got sent to voicemail multiple times, I left a detailed voicemail with my information and my issues, and I never got your response, so hopefully you start taking matters more seriously instead of responding to every review trying to make the place look better when in reality it shouldn't even be open. read more

Parking is a major issue. Tenants park on other Tenants parking spaces, or fire lane, near trash bins. Management has not been able resolve this issue even after they sent letters to all Tenants about it. Management should be ticketing people and should be towing those cars immediately. Or they should be calling or knocking on everyone door to get a car immediately moved if parked in someone else spot. Management doesn't seem they leave office at all. The security person they hire is another person who is no where to be found. I seen the police come a few times to the apartments due to domestic violence. The apartments are also infested with cockroaches. The roaches coming out from the walls, cravecies, bathroom shower drains, sinks, and outlet plugs. Expect you appliances to get infested with roaches. Not to mention a corpse/dead body was found in an apartment decomposing and the apartment was rent soon after. The only good thing is that rent is not to high and is pet friendly but with issues like this I would prefer to pay more at another place, than to deal with all this issues on the consistent basis. 1 month after moving out we were hit with a $1500 move out bill. $800 was for not giving proper 30 day notice. We explained to property manager before hand that we were moving due to hardships due to covid-19 and made sure we were paid up till the day we moved. After calling the manager for an explanation I was told there was nothing they can do to waive the fee because it was in our lease agreement. Even though we were well out of the lease agreement time frame. These people dont have a heart we moved put because me and my wife both lost our jobs due to the pandemic and they send us this ridiculous bill from creditors. read more

This place is a shit hole, Management and never does his job. like the rest of palmgate management. If you want to live with rats,mold,sorry full grown mushrooms growing out of the walls, big cockroaches, I mean the big sewer ones, small ones this place is it. I have killed up to 10 big sewer roaches in one night. Getting thing fixed here is like pulling teeth. Putting in a work order is non existent because it always gets lost, so I have to go in there and remind them like small children to do their chores around the house. They try to keep you're deposit when you move out, they try to extort the tenants for parking that was already on their rental agreement.
