I had a patio that…read moreneeded to be resurfaced and repainted, he gave me a fair estimate and because of work he's done in the past I hired him for the job. I gave him my credit card to buy materials and he lost the receipt. Once he finished everything he said he was going to come back the next day and put the furniture back and blow the paint chips, but he wanted to let the paint dry another day. There were also spots he didn't paint so he was going to finish up. I texted him the next morning to get ETA and he said he would be by noonish. I hadn't heard from him so I texted him at 1pm, he never responded. Then I called him 40 minutes later and still no response. He just ghosted and left the place a mess and took some of the materials with him. I could have used the paint brush and roller brush to finish the stuff he didn't, after all I paid for the stuff. I'm very surprised because he has never been like this before. I've known him since 2019. He was so unprofessional and acted like someone completely out of character.
