I have been a member of PBT for many years and have gone to multiple locations in San Antonio, but this is my favorite location (despite 35 being a nightmare). I've been Lucky enough to have had Rachel's help at this salon as well as other salons in the area. She is always helpful and honest and she hasn't steered me wrong yet! This location needs their employees to work on their tone of voice and customer service. The employee was very snippy and rude. Not sure why it's so hard to be friendly. I've only been to this location twice and I won't be back. Same employee same attitude both times I've been in. read more

Old Veras isn't working( get a new machine like everyone else in the US) the versa machine is so old and out of date. The same manager still works here, nothing changed. I stopped by this location since it is near my office and I wanted to tan during my lunch break. The ladies at this location were smiling and playful and seemed to really enjoy their jobs! I felt welcomed and was taken care of right away! I was in and out and even had time to grab a bite to eat! I'd recommend this Palm Beach location if you want a friendly, clean, and happy atmosphere! I asked to be cancelled they said they cancelled me but found out they were actually charging me full amount for months. Broke down equipment! Everything was great until the tanning bed broke while I was in it. After 2 minutes I heard a LOUD POP while I was getting my tan on. It scared me to death. I quickly decided to get out but as I raised the top of tanning bed it fell on my head. OUCH!!! It hurt so bad, still hurts three days later. My Dr. is requiring a CAT scan. The spring on the bed broke. Don't remember seeing a warning for that! After the PalmBeach tanning bed fell on my head the clerk called her boss. The boss told her clerk she'd call me to discuss what happened. It's been three days and no phone call. **UPDATE** Due to my original post I got a phone call. I have been getting spray tans done for around 4 years now and decided to try this business. I was offered a three session offer, where I was told I would pay a ONE time fee, and then come in when I pleased for the three tan sessions. I paid around $85 for this package and when I came to get my second tan the worker told me I had to pay $20 just to get my tan! I was very disappointed as I was lead to believe I would only pay a one time fee. Also, the spray tan machine does not dry well and your tan easily rubs off and is streaky when I get out of the booth. The tan only lasts a good 4 days and isn't even as dark or natural looking as other spray tan places I have been too. read more

It's a little pricey for their platinum membership, but their perks are better than any other membership I've seen. It is the only tanning place in the area, so I think that's how they get away with charging $90 for memberships. This particular location has an issue with their building. It often has overflowing trash cans that seem to stay that way for days. The beds are new and clean while the customer service is as good as it could be. They will not allow you to tan within a 24 hour period--meaning that if you tan one day at noon, you cannot tan the next day at 11AM. This seems to be a little harsh way of interpreting the law. Tanning salons are no longer even governed by the health department in Texas, but they are sticklers for "their interpretation". Updated to ass: They also refuse to take any sort of base tab you have. I moved from out of state and had been tanning in the exact same tanning beds. They act as if you're as pale as a sheet of paper. The regional manager was condescending and rude on the phone about this and acted as if Palm Beach Tan is the only high quality tanning chain. Waiting to see what corporate has to say and for them to produce the FDA regulations and state law they're referring to. Also, after going to other locations it's become apparent this location is not their best. There was over flowing trash cans out side for at least 3-4 days a week or two ago (think nasty trashy blowing everywhere) and the workers are not near as nice. I really couldn't get over how long they allowed the trash to sit on several occasions. Alamo heights and Stone Oak locations are much nicer. read more

I've only recently started tanning again after quite a few years of definitely having no pigment whatsoever to my skin and I love it. I love PBT. The location in Schertz is the only one I've been to, though I can tan at any of them as a member. The beds are great and the bulbs are new and work very well. I have a great base going after 3 visits. I can't wait to try the spray tan. I definitely do recommend this place if you're on the fence. You'll love it! read more

I'm really disappoint with this location. I use to tan here all the time but took time off during summer. I returned after Christmas and everything was different. New management (who's never there), new faces, etc. the girls there seem to be very confused or don't know what they're doing. If you go in around 4-7pm be prepared to wait. There's always been only 1 girl trying to catch up with the wave of people. The bulbs aren't strong nor hot and the place seems to be messier with each time I come in. I'm not sure if I will continue with my membership. read more

My first experience spray tanning was here last month. I've been 4 times now and am sold. There was a hiccup with the machine which stopped mid spray ( why it's 4 stars instead of 5) but the girls helped quickly and got me in the other machine. It would be nice for the owners to fix this but the customer service is absolutely amazing and that's why I returned for another try. They are always polite and smiling and helpful and make the experience fun and relaxing.:) read more

Great salon with great benefits for their customers. You get rewards every few months and they are awesome. Some of the new girls get too big for their britches and have an attitude, but hang tight because they always quit. The girls that have been there a long time are amazing. read more
