If I could give zero stars, I would!!…read more I had an extremely disappointing experience with customer service and leadership at Palm Beach Tan, specifically at the Reynoldsburg location. Two different employees that I initially spoke with were kind, professional, and last gentleman was genuinely apologetic. He assured me that the manager, Meghan, would make things right. Unfortunately, that could not have been further from the truth. After requesting a callback, I received no response. It took two days of repeated calls before I was finally able to speak with Meghan. From the start, her approach was dismissive and unprofessional. Rather than addressing the issue or taking accountability, she deflected responsibility by referencing what her manager, Hanna, allegedly said--while completely disregarding the fact that I had been given conflicting and inaccurate information by multiple employees. Meghan's business card identifies her as a General Manager, but based on this interaction, her level of customer service, communication, and problem-solving did not reflect the expectations of that role. When I made a simple request for her to contact Hanna directly and have her return my call, it was treated as though it were unreasonable--which is unacceptable. At no point did I feel heard, valued, or respected as a customer. Effective leadership requires accountability, follow-through, and professionalism--none of which were demonstrated in this situation. I'm waiting on a call back from Hanna. I'm going to reach out to the corporate office as well about my experience. I will update this review if I ever receive the follow-up that was promised.

"Madi" seemed to be more concerned with her phone and her tattoos than helping clients. The computers crashed so they were unable to accommodate anyone for over 30 minutes. I honestly do not know if it's the lack of Intelligence the staff has or simply poor professesionalism and training, either way this is no way to run a business or treat people. Also, I would have to clean the bed myself before tanning as I have watched the staff "clean" the beds and clearly they don't know how to do that either.

The first time "my" card was rejected in June, I was charged the usual amount and paid via Apple Pay, no problems. Same with the following month of July, no problems. Went in today, again was told that "my" card was rejected. I told the associate that it was not my card and opened my wallet to pay and as soon as the transaction went through, I was told it was $10 more than in the past. I inquired as to why and was told there was a $10 for "my" credit card being rejected. IT WAS NOT MY CARD! There are 2 customers there with my same name. The associate called Kasey, I guess the regional manager, and she refused to give me back the $10 I paid because someone else's card was rejected. I had no idea that in June and July this fee was being waived or even existed. This Palm Beach Tan made a mistake on my account, failed to tell me about it and charged me $10 for it. I cancelled my account today and will not return!

So because she was 4 minutes over that grace period, she could not be seen AND we were immediately charged $55. I never expect someone to change and make the rest of their clients late for us, but some sympathy for a very stressed out and crying teenager (before Prom) in the parking lot would have went a long way! Bad customer service. They could have at least not charged us because of the traffic beyond her control. Sometimes extenuating circumstances do happen. They seemed very eager to cancel and charge! I called and kept them up to date that she was in traffic! 3 minutes after the grace period I told them she was in front of the building. They called back and didn't even want her to come in. Immediately charged full price of the service when I hung up. Even if they were friendly I could have been more understanding!
