I often come in right before closing and Hailey is especially kind and doesn't make me feel like a burden. This was my first time here and after trying out three other tanning places for the past year, not only was this the best spray tan but the best experience I have ever received as well. The facility is clean, modern, and inviting. The tanning booths are supplied with barrier cream, shower caps, booties, and ear plugs which I have never seen before and was impressed with. You can also customize your tan in just about a 100 ways. Choosing undertones, a moisture layer, or doing a double spray on specific areas. But the main reason I will inevitably be returning to Palm Beach was the customer service I received. I used the 15 dollar bed and it was amazing. It had a body mist, I could control the fan, and it had a nice stereo making my 9 minutes feel so relaxing. I visit the Draper UT location by my home a couple of times per week, usually in the late afternoon or early evening. They told me that they have 17 beds, the ones that I have used are always clean and fresh. The young lady that is usually there "Olivia" has helped me choose my tanning lotion and the best beds for my skin type. She is very knowledgeable and helpful, my tan is looking great and I just want to say thank you to Olivia, Hanah and the rest of the staff for their knowledge, hard work and excellent service! read more

I have been coming to this salon for a year now and I LOVE the girls who work here. Everyone has taken great care of me. I went in last week to return/exchange a spray tan bottle I had purchased before I left for vacation. It was a bad bottle and didn't set right on my skin. The new assistant manager Presley was extremely rude and disrespectful to me. Terrible customer service skills, didn't apologize to me at all that she couldn't do anything just gave me an attitude about not being able to return my product. So I ended up going to another location explained my situation to the gal and she was WONDERFUL. Gave me tan dollars and took care of me. Everyone has been so kind here so it's unfortunate they hired someone who doesn't have customer service skills. read more

Two things that I want to talk about, the beds and the staff. Beds: I started here with a silver package and it seems that my tan progress has been slower than with similar beds at other places. I'm not sure if the bulbs are a little older, but going full time after the first few days has seemed to give minimal results. I did upgrade to a gold bed today and was pretty pleased with the results. Staff: Emma has been awesome. She is always in a good mood and nice to chat with each time I visit. She is an asset to this location and makes customers want to come back. I have had less interaction with the rest of the staff, but when I have they have always been pleasant. I have been a member of Palm Beach for over three years. When I first began going to PB was in Texas and I had the platinum package. The management in Texas was so amazing! So when I came back to Utah, I wanted to stay tanning at PBT. I joined the one in Draper Ut and from the get go I had nothing but problems! Thank goodness corporate got involved and extended their apologies and made things right! However, a couple of months ago I wanted to upgrade my package from one spray tan a month to unlimited everything! The girls working there were new and trying to figure things out. They had to call their boss to find out how to do this and she told them how to, but I would be charged $20 for upgrading!!! I thought it was so ridiculous so I asked the gal to cancel my membership and then sign me up for the Platinum and that would eliminate the $20!! Why the hell would a company make someone pay $20 to upgrade???? Anyhow, it turned out that the gal didn't even do things right and I she hadn't signed me up for the package!!! The next came when I was getting ready to travel out of state for a travel assignment ( I'm a traveling nurse). So before I left I got talked into buying this large bottle of bronzer that you can put on and should look as good as the spray tan I had been getting. The gal said, " if you don't like it you can always return it for a refund." It was a $40 bottle mind you. Subsequently, I went out of town and the 3rd day after my spray tan I thought I would use this bronzer to make me look like I was still tan (the spray tan only lasts 3 days max). The first pump of this bronzer I was quite freaked out because it was so dark!! But i kept thinking it would blend into my color etc!!! So to try and sum up this story... It was a horrible product and when I returned to Utah I tried to return the bottle for my refund, like I was told I could. Yet, the gal at the desk said it had been too long since it had been purchased ! I ardently told her how I'm a traveling nurse, yada yada!! I was completely lied to about buying this product, no refund was issued and I'm peaved!!!! I now have a $40 bottle of crap and I would have been better off buying a spray tanner from Walmart!!! read more

Friendly staff last night. I used a silver bed, and it was surprisingly stronger than expected. I've gone to Palm Beach on and off throughout the years, both in Utah and the DC area. I like the Utah staff better. The beds are clean, the bulbs are strong, and they aren't pushy like a lot of tanning salons with trying to get you to upgrade when you clearly don't want to. They obviously suggest it, but they don't push. They also help you figure out based on skin tone, time since last tanning, type of bed, etc, what would be your best time to go. read more

Palm Beach was by far the worst tanning experience I've ever had. The staff was extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. I was talked back to when I tried to ask for help. I was unfamiliar with the beds and was given no clarity on how to use them. Because of this, I wasn't able to tan like I wanted to. The worst service I have ever had ever!!! I walked in as a new client. There were 2 new clients also in front of me. As I waited people started to walk in after me. They all have been there before so she helped them in front of me. I waited for over 30 minutes while she helped people walking in after me. I finally said it was my turn. She said she was going to help the people that have been there first and the 2 new people in front of me still. It would be at least another 15 minutes. I was furious and left. I would never recommend this place to anyone! She was so rude!!!! read more

ZERO STARS!! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!! GO TO GOLDEN TAN!! The employee you had staffed the night of August 15th, 2019 was absolutely horrendous. Her attitude right when I walked in was awful. She was very short, condescending, and would yell "Oh my GOD" at her computer every couple of minutes. I paid for tanning lotion, a bed tan, and a spray tan. I spent $50. First, she told me the bed was room 16 (my friends who were with me also heard her say 16) so I go ... and it never turns on. So I go back and ask her and she says it was room 15. So I go to the bed and it was already running so I jump in and it only ran for 4 whole minutes when it was supposed to be 10. So I re talk to her and she restarts the machine and tells me room 16 again. I go to room 16 and it never turned on! I even went to see if the other bed was on and it wasn't. So I talked to her yet again and she said it was on and there was no doubt about it so I decided to give up and not fight her about it and just get my spray tan. After thinking for a moment I went to ask for a refund. She told me the machine was on and I tanned and there was nothing I could do about it and she would not give me any kind of credit. She was also on her cell phone the whole entire time I was trying to ask for help. Whether it was a miscommunication or whatever that employee did NOT treat customers as you should. Either there is no one at the front desk or this most recent time, a record 12 minute wait with ONE person in line and then a slow extremely unfriendly demotivated employee. The beds are not listed anywhere for members to see choices and the front desk employees do not explain the name difference without excruciating prodding. The manager Megan? was SO condescending and rude to me. I have been a Platinum Member for almost 2 years. Because of work related travel I was not able to redeem my $50 reward coupon for being a member during the month is was awarded since I was not able to come in. There is a 'use it or lose it' policy in place, which I think is tricky and crappy. If I have been a member for X number of months, I should be able to enjoy and use my certificate when I want to. They shouldn't 'expire'. I politely asked her to check and see with a manager if there was any way that, as a gesture of good will toward a good customer that it could be reinstated. She acted very put out and said that she could not call anyone, but she could email 'corporate'. Whoever and whatever the mysterious 'corporate' is! But this didn't make sense because I had a previous experience where the employee needed to credit my account for something and called someone to help, so I knew that wasn't true but didn't argue with her. So I said yes please do that and let me know. 4 days went by and I didn't hear back so I went in again, and politely asked if she had heard back. She said no, in a sick, sneering, but syrupy way ('noooooo, I havvvvvvent....' insert sneering smile here. So I asked her if she would mind emailing them again, as 4 days is long enough to receive a response. She just stared at me for a second and said ,'well yeah, I guess, but they get pretty snippy about that.' Ok. Um what company would get 'snippy' with a customer for wanting a response?? And snippy why? For what purpose? It was just total bs. I am certain she didn't EVER contact them. So I left and called another branch to see what they said. I got Jacqueline the district manager who, when I told her the situation, immediately reinstated the reward. Which I really appreciated but proved the store manager was lying when she said there was 'no one' she could call. How crappy is that? She just flat lied because she didn't want to help me. Additionally, the store manager never did call me back, never followed up with me and made me feel like a big idiot for even asking her about this to the point where I am uncomfortable going in there! I assure you I was pleasant and respectful to her but she treated me like I was asking her to do something offensive. I will likely leave palm Beach as a member because i am not comfortable going in there anymore. I will tell you that the money she tried to 'save' the company by refusing to helping me is going to cost them nearly $1000 next year as my membership is $80 per month and I am leaving. I would definitely reconsider some of these policies and prioritize customers happiness long term over petty policies. By having snippy condescending managers and petty tricky policies designed to reduce the rewards you actually pay out, you lose waaaay more than if you had accommodated me and made me feel happy. This review is applicable to the American Fork Palm Beach Tanning location at 632 W Main St #102. I have been a member of Palm Beach for over a year now, and tonight when I approached the consultant about tanning lotion she treated me like a first time customer. Once the consultant (she) realized I wasn't going to spend $70-$90 for the lotion, she became completely disinterested and unhelpful. This blatant lack of customer service did not sit well with me. What ever happened to good customer service? What happened to building a good relationship with clients for future business? Because of her complete shortsighted business decision and lack of tact, I will no longer do business with Palm Beach. I would also not recommend Palm Beach Tanning to any future customers because of the consultants lack of customer service and overall business integrity. read more

New ownership and now under the Palm Beach tan name. Let me just back up and say I had been going to Electric Beach for years. I was fine with a change until I talked to the girls. First of all let me just say I don't blame them but from greeting to pitch they have been trained to be SO gimmicky, yuck. How about a hint of real? I asked right away if the beds had changed they informed me the beds were the same, a little shocking because I would now be paying at least double for the same bed. Their big pitch is, "well we 100% guarantee our beds" which most of them had no explanation what that meant, plus is seems very vague considering all the skin levels etc that come in. This is also not the case as they asked me about my spray tan but basically just had a list of excuses of why it maybe didn't show up, let me also mention I have never asked for anything free and have spray tanned at least 100+ times. I signed up for the membership which is the only way to go. If you can prepare yourself for over the top insincerity and are going to do the membership I guess it might be worth it for the same old beds you used to go to. read more
