Staff assistance friendly one of the cleanest facilities I have been to. The service by all of the ladies is superb

So I don't come tanning often enough, so I started the 15$ membership for that reason.. so until I decide or make time to come tanning I'm not going to upgrade my membership.. I say that to say, on Thursday I came to do a spray tan and forgot my lotion. When I came back on Tuesday, obviously it's not returned, that was my fault I left it. So I go to buy another lotion. Bc I don't come as often, my lotion lasts me a long time, so I don't know the going rate now, as far as prices go.. all I do know is I like tingle lotion. So I ask the lady for a tingle lotion and I also ask her what's the round a about prices for the lotions. Her first answer was "you get what you pay for". But that's not what I asked, I asked what are the range of prices, bc there are different sections on the wall, and didn't know if they were separated for brand and/or price. I told her I understand that, but I prefer a tingle lotion, so what tingle lotions do you have and how much are they? She was hesitant to give me one and then the other lady says "no one buys those anymore". Like what the hell?? When I do get the only one she was willing to give me, I just told her I'll take it, 65$ later. My take on this experience; why say you get what you pay for in the first place? She was saying that in such a condescending way like I'm a broke bishh when In reality I was really trying to get the feel of how the prices and the products went now a days.. additionally, like I previously stated, I don't come that often so excuse me if I was proving her for information on what they offered bc I don't have to buy lotion as often as someone who came everyday would.. and to be honest it wasn't even like she was trying to sell me anything at all.. like she was so bothered I asked about the lotions at all.. and if I remember correctly the last lotion I bought was around 65$-70 so I shouldn't have to also feel like I should have to buy a $100 bottle of lotion. I'm not struggling with money but what if I was?? Or what if I was a timid, insecure person? Who is she to act like of I'm not buying an expensive lotion I'm not shit. secondly, don't try to make me feel stupid or that I'm not in with the "in" crowd bc I prefer tingle lotion over bronzing lotion. I shouldn't have to feel any type of way about what I choose for my life when it comes to my tanning experience. This wasn't a good experience n I hope to change my membership to a different location bc the women here are not pleasant. read more

I just had a terrible experience at this store. I went in to buy a month of tanning for an upcoming event. They could not show me a price sheet for each month/beds at all. She continually questioned me and told me that the base tanning would not work for me after telling her 3x that it was all I was going to buy today. I pulled the prices up online after she was unable to show me a pricing sheet. I showed her what I wanted to do online expecting the price that was online - she then ran me up for something $60 dollars more expensive then what was stated online. They then told me to sign the screen without prefacing it with anything afterwards they told me I was signing a consent form. Never saw what I was signing or received any further explanation. Yikes! From what I gather, the prices online are inaccurate or misleading to just get people in the store.... Or this manager was not ringing me up correctly. I worked as a manager at a tanning salon in college, and let me tell you... this store needs some serious customer service training. I understand that she was trying to sell, but you have to treat people respectfully and show them what they are buying in to. I don't want to hear your opinion/upswell without visuals/facts/pricing. They also stopped helping me to deal with someone's contract not being stopped like he requested the week before. I patiently waited 15 mins. After that, I had heard enough. Poor, poor experience. Poor customer service, spoke to disrespectfully, and they could not show me any pricing and didn't even come close to what was advertised online. I walked out without buying anything. I give this ADDISON place a zero. Every bed is broken ...you are told you can control the heat but every button is broke in any bed Ive been in. Its always hot as hell when you walk in... I come to this place because the employees make me feel special. I feel like royalty when I walk in until I walk out. I also look great too.

This has always been my favorite location near where I live. But now they are really slacking with their help. This is the second time this week I have come in and heard the same girl at the the front desk try to get me or someone else to use a lower level bed because she had not cleaned the bed yet for the platinum. Yesterday she was on her cell when I got here. The ones of us that spend more to have better beds shouldn't be asked to use a lower level because someone is too lazy to do their job. read more

The only reason this company stays in business is lack of competition. No tanning company in the DFW metroplex has the number of salons as PBT. The staff at every salon location are great. At the core of the problem is the embarrassingly poor business practices. There is not a problem with them communicating with customers when there is a problem with a monthly payment. However, they don't feel the same urgency to communicate with customers when they decide to close salons for any reason unannounced. The weather turns cold and bad weather is expected, as was the recent issue, they closed the salons before any bad weather began. And the salons remained closed long after bad weather passed and all other businesses had returned to normal. All with no communication to customers. They never do. So inconsiderate of customer's time to make the customer drive to the salon to find out it is closed. Obviously, the management doesn't care if all customers must find find out this way. Almost as if the business was in a third world country. The owners will also close a salon without any notification when the internet goes down. They don't feel any need to devise a plan to operate the salon when the internet goes down. Bottom line is once they get your monthly membership payment they could t care less if they provide the service and if customers are taken care of. Also, corporate customer service is run by only a few women who have no autonomy to resolve issues. They will send a generic email as a response but don't expect to get any assistance beyond that. I don think I've ever seen such a poorly run company which stays in business. If there was equal competition in the area they likely wouldn't. read more

I'm going to start with the staff is amazing, always helpful and cheerful. Surprising because this location has not been renovated in years the equipment is old and the interior needs simple paint and updates (ceiling tiles). I shared this on a survey Palm Beach sent me and the store didn't qualify for their bonus because I gave less than a perfect score. Well I'm here to say that it is extremely unfair to base a bonus off of items that are outside the control of the team. Ie old equipment and interior of the store. I kindly request that the staff at this location be acknowledged for the hard work they put in to make sure everyone's experience is nice as it can be even though corporate is treating this location poorly and sticking it to their own team members. New to the sunless tanning thing but appreciate the ability to have some color without the negative effects. I've found the staff friendly and informative on each visit. I'd like to point out a young man that I've seen the past couple visits. His name is Casey and he stands out as the most positive and engaging employee of any service business I've ever encountered. Used to like the girls that worked here a lot, but the new employees are not nearly as helpful & friendly. Did not get very much color from the tanning beds compared to other salons I have tanned at, & I tried a few different options they offer. Employees don't seem to be very knowledgeable, I purchased two spray tans & the girl working assured me I could use the second one whenever I wanted & they did not expire. When I came back the manager told me that she was wrong and there was nothing he could do about it, he didn't let me use it. I called customer service to explain the situation & the woman on the phone was no help at all either. She told me since she didn't hear the conversation there was nothing she could do. Also said if I bought another spray tan package she would add the expired one onto it so I could still use it, lol seriously? Definitely won't spend my money here again. read more

Been going to Palm beach tan but then found out there was finally some competition to their monopoly of tanning salons.. and the beds at half of the them at palm beach do not have the bulbs changed before they become useless either! So there were times I've wasted time and money going into beds that gave me No color at all!! I decided to check out Lux tanning in Addison and in highland park(which is open til 11 pm, Addison is open til 8 pm but should be going back to later hrs soon too so they say.. and that's another super annoying thing about palm beach.. they are still closing way way earlier even tho covid nonsense is over and dine with. So barely even was able to make it in to the salon to tan.. It was so hard to get there before they close so only made it about once a week or week and a half cause of the Difficulty of doing that!) And it cost me less than doing their highest level unlimited tanning and versa than at pbt month to month for diamond and they offer you a hot eucalyptus towel and a glass of mineral water or champagne upon arrival and the bed has strong bulbs so I got the best color I've gotten in years! They make sure the bulbs are changed when they need to be changed unlike pbt! It's way nicer upscale tanning experience for less.. no contract required.. the only way I'd ever go to palm beach again is if they totally revamped their entire business model and tanning salons and offered something just as amazing with beds that always have their bulbs changed on time and get new beds and add perks like Lux tanning salon has.. trust me.. as things stand.. you'll be much happier at Lux upscale tanning.. that's a promise! read more

Oh em gee.. I've been going here for a couple of years. Started to feel like I was turning orange so I freezed my membership.. well had a wedding to go to so I unfreezes and found myself turning orange every time.. and every time I'd ask at check in, "why am I turning orange!?!" What is going on? Help me.. and they'd all just shrug and say not sure, like probably a dozen times I asked...I was inches away from cancelling my membership until JODIE actually had a full conversation about it with me and and finally let me know I had been doing a level 6, like the darkest setting! I don't tan often but I do donate about $30 a month to this establishment. I have never had a bad experience. The place is always clean and the staff is friendly. My only suggestion is when the staff sells a package they advise you there is an expiration date. I had bought 4 spray tans in April. I went to use one over the weekend only to find out they are only good for 45 days. I think if you BUY something its yours as long as you want as long as you keep your membership. Anywhoo..the manager there at the time was professional and allowed me to use 2 before the end of the month. I appreciate her for working with me. read more

I hate driving places for nothing. It's too cold for that right now. The coupon is a bit misleading, you do get a month free but you have to pay a $20 startup fee, which is fine. I was even going to upgrade to the gold memberships which is $39.99 a month if you would like to use better beds but unfortunately I went in and left with nothing. BEWARE OF PERVERTED NEW MALE EMPLOYEE AT THE ADDISON LOCATION. MANY YEARS I HAVE TANNED HERE AND I CAN NOT EVEN TELL YOU HOW MUCH MONEY I HAVE SPENT AT PALM BEACH TAN SINCE I STARTED TANNING IN 2008. Decided to go in last night a little after 6:45 pm to exchange some lotion and tan...BIG mistake. He was the only staff member there. STRAIGHT male....Said he would need me to come back the next day when the manager is on duty. He loaned me some lotion so I could tan. I went to the rest room, walked back up to the room right next to the office. As I'm putting my lotion on, my music from my phone playing, I hear what sounds like a door hinge. ALSO THE COPS DID CONFIRM THE SOUND OF THE DOOR after I mentioned it.....He went into the office closed the door, stood on the chair and had his phone leaning over the top....I had a weird feeling already since I heard the door make the noise...so I looked up and as soon as I saw him I hit the wall and started screaming at him....He denied it saying look at my phone I have nothing.......I was disgusted. I told him I was calling the cops then he threatened ME that he would call them on me...So I called 911 as I was getting dressed barely able to speak to the dispatcher. I walked out to a couple sitting on a couch. The guy said he heard me hit the wall and heard the commotion. Cops walked in no later than 5 minutes after I hung up and walked out to the lobby. He denied it all...cops took his phone. I hope he is fired and arrested bc if he did that to me...who else has he done that too..STAY AWAY FROM PALM BEACH IN ADDISON. I was already warning females about to walk in last night...told them what he did and they were shocked and left. Hope he rots! read more

Colten had terrible customer service. I was explaining what I wanted and he very quickly told me I didn't need that. He then huffed and rolled his eyes and proceeded to tell me they don't have the stand up I was wanting (this is not a him issue) i then said I would do a lay down in the same level if I wouldn't get the lines he told me to flip over every couple of minutes, yeah no, don't want to do that at all. I mentioned this and I said well I guess I'll just go down a level for stand up he then made his annoyance known AGAIN. Not my problem if you hate your job or are having a bad day, I do not want to be made to feel I'm an inconvenience for a service I'm paying for. Even if I change my bed preference 10 times I still deserve respect. I was never rude or disrespectful until leaving when I told him he was incredibly rude. If I ever huffed at a customer or rolled my eyes I would be fired. Let alone do the two together multiple times. Keep your sass contained while at work. read more

So not enough spray booths, so long wait. And to be honest every time I go in the room everything is empty. The staff doesn't seem to care, and I have asked on multiple times to have it replaced when I leave and seems to never get done for when I come back. Like really I need to get redressed to come out and ask for more barrier cream when it's not even "pump able?" Looks like I'm going somewhere else from now on. Not worth it . I purchased 5 sunless tanning sessions. The manager told me they expire in 2 months but he would be able to extend them later. After they expired the manager told me he would not be able to extend, very disappointing. Boo, why do these sessions expire? I paid for 5 sessions and I should have 5 sessions on my account until they are used. It doesn't cost PBT anything to keep these tans on my account....I feel ripped off. Be carful when purchasing a package of tans as they have short expiration dates. I decided to take my business elsewhere, Glo Sun Spa, theirs don't expire. Otherwise, I had no other problems with this PBT, it is very clean. read more

Worst customer service ever! Several times over the past couple of years, I extended my expiration date, and every time I went back to use the last session, they wouldn't allow it. I visited Palm Beach Tan in Addison this spring, felt the price was a little costly but it was convenient as I was opening a large, new business across the street so I joined. The facility was clean, the staff was friendly and the tanning experience was good. The problem came with my cancellation. I went in to cancel on 6/30, signed for the cancellation on an electronic signature pad, but was informed that since I was billed on 7/1 that it would still charge me the $65+ for July. I was told that it required 5 days notice to cancel and stop the billing. No problem, I understood that. I continued to tan thru July then stopped July 31 knowing my membership was done. On 9/4 I randomly looked at my bank statement and saw that I was charged the $65+ for September, looking back noticed I was charged for August as well. I went into speak with the person working the front on 9/4, told her the situation, and she let me know she would call corporate and have my refund within the hour. I felt great about it as I left but about 5 hours later received a call from the same person saying they couldn't refund my money but would gladly upgrade me to diamond for 2 months, or give me 2 months credit for merchandise. If I wasn't satisfied she left me her DM Chrissy's phone number. Obviously I cancelled for a reason, I no longer needed the service, so neither option was acceptable, I just wanted a refund. I left a message with the DM, hopeful for resolution. On 9/5 I got a message from Chrissy saying that there was no documentation of the cancel and if I had any more questions to call back, no refund. I have left an additional message for Chrissy to get corporates number but no response as of yet, 3 calls and she has not picked up the phone once. My problem with this all is that they don't give you documentation for your cancel, learning experience for me, as it's really easy now say I didn't cancel which I did, made a specific trip on 6/30 to do so. Second, the turnover is so high, of course the person I cancelled with no longer works there. Bigger problem for me is the principle. If they were right, and I never cancelled why would they offer me free 2 months of upgraded tanning and also $130 in free products. I opened a large business across the street and will be sure to inform them of my experience as well as contact the corp office and BBB. When you trust a company with your bank info and they take advantage of you as well as stop any and all customer service once you cancel it show the true intentions. $130 is not a big issue but how they treat you after they make a mistake is. read more

Tried this location after a bad experience in Las Colinas. The nicest employee (Rachael) helped me. The entire experience was pleasant and relaxing which is why you come to tan in the first place. She asked if I needed extra time (for putting on lotion) which was most considerate. No pressure to buy their lotion either (I order mine online for 1/2 price). The salon was spotless and the beds were too. I got good color from the bed so the bulbs must have been changed recently ~ which is important. I'll drive the extra 15 minutes to come to this location! read more
