I decided l was going this week despite a tumble l had over the weekend. It was Easy Yoga and the instructor Dee was awesome. Her emphasis on the breathing was right on point and needless to say l will be back. That library was packed this morning, just a lot of people doing their thing in a big beautiful place that has a lot to offer to the community.

This library has a five star children's department. it's inviting with games like oversized checkers for the bigger kids and developmental toys for the toddler sect. They have such a variety of children's programs from mommy and me. to steam club for elementary age to game nights for teens dispersed in between with arts and craft and parties. They employ two of the best staff you'll ever meet in the youth department. They know the names of all the children who frequent the library and boy are they patient. The library has a reading room for parents to read their little ones even the adult side is inviting and make sure you want to stay and read a while. it may not be huge but it's perfect for our town.

I found the strongest aspect of the Melbourne Beach Public Library is their music section. Here you will find CDs of David Bowie, the Beatles, the Doors, Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, along w/ Shane MacGowan and the Pogues. The section of books is a bit small perhaps due to the size of the library as a whole yet still some good titles to be found. They have a nice set up for those interested in playing chess or checkers. Cool displays such as Christmas in July w/ Christmas DVDs available to check out. They have a new & popular check out for DVDs called Stellar Sellers which is here where I found the Joan Jett DVD "Bad Reputation". Jett is a vegan & practices Ashtanga Yoga like me. She has been holding it down many decades as a singer & songwriter so look forward to watching this bio pic documentary.

Additionally....I wish they would spend the money to get patrons access to KANOPY, the free streaming service with top notch indie and foreign films. They offer HOOPLA, which pales in comparison. Still, an absolutely lovely facility and I'm so pleased to live right by it.

But something said just go find the book myself since I was already there. So I went to the front desk and asked the nice lady about how I can find the book. The experience was weird. It was like she didn't want me to find it myself so I just told her I will figure it out. She walked around the desk and just followed behind me. She explained how I was able to find the book once we made it to the section. The service here varies. I truly wanted to figure it out on my own or just shown how to so I could do the rest. One time I was talking to a lady about her kids reading allot of books I was just amazed. And one librarian just interrupted our conversation as if she didn't want us to just talk. I think I was reading about ww1 or ww2 at the time. I do hope it gets better.

I am extremely impressed! I have gone to ERAU for my BS and MAS, a master's at Air University, and…read moretaught at GaTech, and FIT has the best professors, admin, and librarians. The one and only disappointment is that FIT does not have a football team. The registrar's office replied quickly and was very helpful. I contacted the Vet center, and they are all helpful and answer all my questions -- and there are times when I am behind schedule due to taking classes and working full time, the Vet center contacts me to make sure I have done my part. When I have contacted the Finance office, saying I am waiting for approval from the VA, the Finance office is helpful, patient, and professional. I had questions before I even applied to FIT, and I was able to have a Zoom meeting with the advisor and the dean, and I have had several conversations with the advisor -- he is always helpful. I am working on a doctorate, and at the beginning, he is always supportive. I was told he is there to help me succeed. The fundamental research, stats, and qualitative professors are absolutely amazing. The librarians are superb. There have been times or two that I was online, asking for help, and the librarians were online with me for up to an hour. This is an outstanding university: highly recommend!!!

I didn't even have access to my student email for a long time, which made it nearly impossible to stay on top of things. My assigned advisor never introduced herself, never checked in, and never provided any help with registration or degree planning. I had to contact Student Support just to find out who my advisor even was -- and only after I reached out myself did she finally send me my degree plan. Until then, I had absolutely no idea what classes I was supposed to take. Every department I interacted with dropped the ball in one way or another. Communication is poor, processes are confusing, and there's zero proactive support for students. Compared to other universities I've attended, this was by far the most disorganized and disappointing experience.

I was very impressed with the sound. The venue itself is very accessible, right off the main highway (US1) and didn't have any issues finding street parking. I didn't get to explore many other areas of the venue / center but it seemed large enough to hold very large events. There was probably close to 500 people at this show. I had a good time, and if you are coming here, I'm sure you will too.

Once inside it's always air-conditioned and events always seem to be well rounded and organized. It's located in the downtown arts District so it's always fun to walk around that area.
