Purchased a meatball hero from Palisade Pizza yesterday and it was the worst meatball hero I have ever had...not to mention overpriced $12.00. I got home thinking that for $12.00 it had to be an incredible meatball hero. It was very bland and tasted like I was eating bread on bread. It tasted as if it had too much bread crumb mixed into very little meat. I am not an amateur when it comes to meatball hero's and this was the worse I have ever had. This restaurant was in my wishlist to visit and finally went to visit it. I know business owners might not be happy based on the COVID and other issues going on in society. However, this week while getting ready for a road trip restaurant staff is not appropriate with workers from the delivery sector. Would have given it a try but a live video is floating arround of a man being very disrespectful to a person who went to pick up an order. Don't do business at this. Went in to restaurant , was very polite.. I told the guy that I was picking up for doordash.. he said he doesn't have any orders for no doordash .. so I thought he was joking because I clearly got the order. And so I told him can you please check and he proceeded to ask me if I didn't know English or undestand him and I told him that wasn't very nice and he called me a stupid spik. He then proceeded to call me a dumb bitch for not understanding and I told him he didn't have to be rude I just work for doordash and just go where I'm sent. And he said you're a peasant look who you work for ; get a real job. He called me a slave and a bitch And I told him that I was going to report his business and make sure nobody comes to his business and he told me to go do whatever the fuck I wanted and he then proceeded to call the cops on me... and I had to call doordash support and report this. Horrible, detestable, UNETHICAL service. Waited OVER TWO HOURS for the pizza, all because the guy on the phone kept telling me it was "on its way". When I finally decided to cancel it, he refuses to give me my money back and then admits that they didn't even start making the pizza until about "20 minutes ago", that it was now with the delivery, and there was nothing they could do. Delivery guy leaves the pizza in the lobby and takes off with my pre-paid $5.00 credit card tip that he absolutely did NOT earn. Pizza was actually good, but the zeppolis were hard and gross, and the horrible lies and lack of service acumen made everything taste like trash. I will never order from this place again, and you shouldn't either. With all the lack of honesty and ethics around a measly $35 order, I don't expect the rest of their business to offer much taste or integrity. read more

To paint an appropriate picture of how the food is here I'll start off by explaining to you I am writing this in the bathroom with sweat dripping from my forehead as the fear of death sets in. I know there is an Elvis impersonator that works there but please god don't let me impersonate Elvis as I die on the bowl. So we ordered a few things, a large cheese pie, a large buffalo pie, garlic knots, and penne with meatballs. Let's break it down now: Cheese pizza: tasteless, cheese isn't bad and the crust had a doughy chew to it which I liked but it wasn't anything to rave about. Sadly it was the best of the order. Buffalo Pizza: horrible. Half a slice into a large pie and the rest went in the garbage. Garlic knots: not bad but not good. Nothing I would recommend. Penne with meatballs: I put 2 penne in my mouth and instantly spit them out. The sauce is a mixture of crushed tomatoes and sugar. A LOT of sugar. Like if chilled it could make a dessert kind of sugar. Horrible. Really really horrible. I then tried the meatballs, wow. The sugary sauce mixed with what might be meat and non seasoned bread crumbs really set my taste buds off in the worst way possible. I've had frozen meatballs from costco that blew these out of the water. Don't eat here. Order elsewhere. How they are still in business blows my mind.... And other parts of my body I won't mention (if youre curious read the first paragraph) All in all this place is the worst pizza place I've ever been to. This is a mom & pop type of pizza place in Yonkers. There is a parking lot nearby and street parking. There is a sit-down restaurant section to the right, and booths in the casual part. I've been coming here for years. They guy that owns it used to be a rocker dude or something. He still has a DA-pompadour and there are posters all over the wallls. Its a time warp! I think the wall art has been there since at least the 80's. The pizza is pretty good. Although thicker than what I usually like in a crust, its crisp and you can tell its very fresh. The sauce and marinara they have here is seasoned and garlicky. You can see the effort they put into the food. Not too shabby for a pizza joint. There is a delicious white pizza with choppped fresh tomatoes on it thats one of my faves. Pasta dishes are standard fare, except for a Puttanesca sauce which is surprisingly good. The reason I'm giving this two stars instead of one is because the pizza and Zeppoli's are pretty good. Nothing outstandingly good just you're average warm pizza slice which isn't bad at all! The zeppoli's are amazing though nice and warm and fluffy but if you don't like a lot a powder sugar these may be too much. (But honestly if you're getting them you most likely want the sugar indulgence) However that is the only positive things I can say. Recently we went and ordered pasta dishes for dinner. I ordered the fettuccine alfredo and my sister ordered penne. My sister didn't really enjoy her penne but she was at least able to finish it. The alfredo was so bland seriously I'm not a picky eater at all but it felt like I was just eating wet noodle. I had to stop after 5 bites! A little disclaimer if you're very squeamish to gross things then the review ends here for you. After me and my sister ate within two hours we were both in a hot sweat. Long story short we both winded up getting sick from the food and spent the night in the bathroom puking and on the floor with upset stomachs. This pizzeria is down the road from my house, yet I go to another pizzeria 2 miles away. The sauce is spicy and weird tasting. The toppings seem stale. I showed him my call log and said you didn't call me he says "I believe you" I ask why my items weren't in a plastic bag he gets frustrated and starts telling me " this place is to far, People from this side don't order from there" I said WOW that's how you talk to people who order from your business ? That puts money in your pocket? He then says " I DONT CARE JUST DONT ORDER FROM US ANYMORE !!!! Which shocked the shot out of me, the whole time I'm on the phone with the restaurant.
