Beautiful grounds and condos. We rented from an individual owner but the front desk handled the keys and contracts. Everyone was very friendly and professional. Everyone was Covid conscious wearing masks and only one family to an elevator. The Pool was huge and very nice. The beach area was just a short walk from the buildings. read more

This is one of the most luxurious condo resorts I've ever stayed in. From the grand entrance that smells like a luxury hotel and the piped in classical music surrounding the pool and interior spaces, I am in love with the pampering they offer. The units are meticulous and well maintained. Concierge 24 hrs to help with anything, they also have a phenomenal fitness space with free weights, machines, and universal equipment. There is a "coffee bar" on the 2nd level near the fitness studio, no flavored creamers but if you want to grab a cup of java it's there. The pools are clean and refreshing with two hot tubs, an infinity pool, and an elaborate kiddie pool with fountains and water features. You have direct access to the beach as well as complimentary beach chairs and plenty of areas to hose the sand off your feet or shower when you come in. It is on a remote end of the island so it's isolated from the very busy section of the Strand,but you are minutes away from restaurants and entertainment. There is a pier nearby with roller coasters and rides as well as a Bubba Gump restaurant right on the water. The property is very secure, you need a special fob to get in and around the facility (pool, exercising space, private garage parking). The beach is very expansive and clean. I definitely want to return. The only thing it's missing is a restaurant or snack bar (or bar for that matter)but as this is a condo I would expect ppl want to eat their own food and you can bring your own beverages anywhere. I think there is also a game room for kids but haven't ventured that far. Love this place!! read more

This is a first class facility right on the beach. There is a full time staff including concierge, housekeeping, and maintenance. Owners are allowed to have pets but renters may not. Rentals are one week minimum. There is plenty to do here, with two nice outdoor pools and two hot tubs all overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, a fire pit, dune walkover to the beach, ping pong, billiards, shuffleboard, bocce ball, foosball table, air hockey, and a quiet library. The gym is fantastic with a large array of weight machines, treadmills, ellipticals, free weights, and sauna. read more

BE WEARY OF STAYING HERE AS THEY DON'T CREDIT MONEY BACK FOR ANY NIGHTS LOST, NOT EVEN FOR A MANDATORY EVACUATION DUE TO A CATEGORY 4 HURRICANE. 1. NO OFFER OF REBATE FOR THE 3 NIGHTS OUR STAY WAS CUT SHORT. 2. Patio furniture from 3 patios placed inside and was all over the place. They came in while someone was in shower. They left all of it by pool table, completely in the way. Had it taking up space in both master bedrooms and living space. 3. Issues with dishwasher. Husband had to fix it. Racks kept sliding open, making it difficult to use. 4. Told me there was no keurig so we lugged one to the beach. Concierge didn't know if there was a blender or not. 5. Washing machine door constantly closes - won't stay open. Makes it difficult to transfer clothes to dryer. Very annoying. 6. No soap holders in any showers. No Bath Towel holders. 7. Condo people zip tied grill shut so we couldn't use it anymore. 8. Master bedroom (ocean side) had terrible internet service - kept disconnecting or wouldn't connect. 9. Palisade Palms - Condominiums Near Me - Galveston, Texas

Only attended a wedding here, so keep that in mind... Parking is the first hiccup, but basically it's all good from there. While the place feels like a maze at times, it is beautiful. The beach area, pool area were all lovely and the area for event up a few stories was lovely. Some indoor space, lots of outdoor space and a beautiful view while you're eating, drinking and dancing. Staff is nice and from what I can tell, units are nice. Would love to try a stay here in the future. The bride's parents have a place here and enjoy the heck out of it. read more

My family and I stayed there for a week for a quick end of summer trip before school started. The condo we stayed in was great as was the entire complex! Everything was very clean and folks at the front desk were pleasant as well. They explained parking, elevators, the "fob" system, and highlighted most of the rules for the place in a short amount of time, but thorough enough. You could really tell their staff took care of the place from the front door of the lobby all the way out to their manicured beach. The only thing that happened during our stay that caught me off guard, was a nasty overnight storm that messed with the chlorine balance in the pool and turned it green in a hurry. So most of our last day there the pool was closed because they had to shock it. Taking care of pool for many years myself, I know how easy that can happen....I just wish they would have taken care of it earlier in the day so it wasn't a complete wash out for us. But overall, the pools were great. There is a really nice side for the younger kids and a regular pool for the older ones. We could keep our eye on them all from where we were sitting. I wouldn't necessarily call it two pools, even though I guess it technically is. It's all just one area. Some folks either on yelp or another site mentioned the "owners". Every other guest we talked to that was staying there were super nice too. Whether they were owners or renters. We didn't feel at all out of place or looked down on for being a "renter". I know some of the folks we ran across were owners because they had dogs...(my understanding is that only owners can have their pets there??) and each one was pleasant for the few minutes we talked with them. The only downside is there is nothing other than the beach within walking distance. No restaurants, shops, etc. so you need to drive to do anything outside of the complex. All in all, we enjoyed our visit and would probably do it again read more

We rented TW504 through Homeaway (VRBO) as overflow for a family reunion. I live in Galveston, but not enough room for entire family. It was best place to stay ever!!! I highly recommend Palisade Palms!! It is right on the beach--no street to cross over. The pools were great for the kids, and the beach was not crowded at all! We were able to see dolphin from the balcony--the highlight of my mom's trip!! read more
