First I want to give a shout out to Colton, who was working at the valet at the hospital. He met…read moreme, asked me how long I would be as he would park my car close by so I wouldn't have to wait long to retrieve my car. He was friendly, cheerful and very polite. He did exactly that, as when I came out to get my car, he remembered my name, told me he had parked it close by and showed me where it was. Thank you, Colton, for a job well done. I had my blood drawn at the blood lab at Common Spirit, St. Anthony north hospital. I have been to this hospital many times and had many medical procedures done here. I have been to the blood lab many times. It is usually never a good experience and one that I always dread. I have high cholesterol and therefore have to have that test done annually. I always tell them that I have small veins and that they roll. Usually they never listen, therefore I always look like a bruised pin cushion when I leave. This time when I was checked in and taken to a room, Andrea did my blood work. She listened and did an outstanding job. She checked my arms and hands to see where would be the best location. She thought it would be my hand. So she laid a rubber glove on filled with hot water, (making sure it wasn't too hot for me) on my hand and said she would return in a few minutes to let that sit on my hand to make it easier to locate the veins. She was right and did the blood draw. It was painless, done without any issues and was over in a few minutes, with just one poke. I commend Andrea for an excellent, painless job well done. Best experience I have had at this lab.

TLDR: Billing s**t-show and shady Customer Support practices…read more I am writing to talk about an issue I have had with Common Spirit Health, which recently purchased my primary care facility (previously owned by Centura). It sounds like Common Spirit has some shady business practices going on, and might be worth investigating. Maybe my issues are an anomaly, but based upon my interactions with them, it feels pretty systemic. In the Fall, 2023, I was seeing a provider at my primary care facility on a regular basis. I ended up having to stop seeing someone I had worked with for a while because Common Spirit just couldn't seem to bill my insurance correctly (I have Cigna).  Through numerous interactions with Common Spirit Customer Service Agents and my insurance agents, it became apparent that the paperwork that was submitted to my insurance was missing only the provider information in an appropriate block.  However, when I repeatedly asked Common Spirit to fix the issue and resubmit, it was always declined. I started getting warnings that my balance would be sent to collections, damaging my credit.   In addition to the other calls I made, I have documented 3 separate occasions when I got on a 3 way call with my insurance and Common Spirit where my insurance asked for the correction and for the claims to be resubmitted. It should be noted that there was ONE time where the information was submitted correctly in the middle of all this and my insurance processed and paid for the service. I was told many times that my account would be frozen while the matter was being resolved. That was not the case. I kept getting harassed by Common Spirit billing, and each time I called back, I was informed Common Spirit would NOT be resubmitting the claims. I was also told they never froze the account and it isn't something they can even do. I was faced with the choice of calling their bluff and probably trying to take them to court for defamation of credit, if they ended up sending me to collections, or paying the full amount. I ended up deciding to go with the latter, because even if I win the case, it might take a while for my score to return to normal (I have excellent credit). I am not done trying to get Common Spirit to bill my insurance correctly, but I am quite frustrated with their lack of professionalism, their mixed messages (around freezing the account etc), and their refusal to work with my insurance.
