Three and a half stars. These palace gardens have an entrance just one block from a tram stop. Early June is too early in the year to visit, based on how sparse the main garden beds were; some scattered foxgloves were in bloom, but most of the other flowers weren't. With the Noordeinde Palace set a ways back from the gate, some paths past a few sculptures, and a tranquil but otherwise nondescript pond, this ended up being a 30 minute stop before I kept walking towards the Hofvijver... maybe double the time allocation if you're visiting with a small child that might be interested in the playground, or happen to be visiting more towards full bloom. While its central location is nice, I didn't find this to be one of the best parks that the Hague has to offer. read more
