I walked by here a few times, and planned to come and check it out, but there are so many other places I want to eat in Hannover that I kept putting it off. Finally, one evening, as I walked around the city center, undecided as to where I wanted to eat, I walked by this place again, and this time, I opted to go in and see if I could get a table. While I wanted to sit in the Biergarten in the back, nothing was available, so I opted for a table in the front, next to an open window. I ordered a cold Hefeweizen and perused the menu. The waitress spoke good English and I washed her recommendations, and she said that the ribs were a favorite. I was ready for something different than German food for a change, and I know the Germans can make some good ribs, I took her advice and ordered the ribs- I asked if I could get them without their "barbecue sauce" and she said of course. And I am glad I did- German barbecue sauce is very different than American barbecue sauce! The ribs were spectacular! The fries hot and crispy! This place was so good that I came back the next day to meet friend for dinner. Now I have added yet another favorite restaurant to my Hannover list!

It's clear that the new Harp burger has found a niche in Linden in Linden's food culture. The burgers are creative, and most of all taste fantastic! Despite being messy, the homemade sauces bring out the flavor of the burger, and the handmade chips/fries are thick and crispy and cooked to perfection! It's pub culture with elevated burger cuisine. Despite fighting to get a table there as almost everything was reserved, we enjoyed the casual, rustic atmosphere and the good food!
