Once you manage the stairs yourself, they will take it to your room. Same goes for check out, we managed to carry our own luggage down stairs. Must be a known hotel for parties. Wednesday night live band started at 11pm and went beyond mdnight. Friday night live music started at 1030pm went on until the wee hours with a live DJ or hostess. Unfortunately, we had an early day so we lacked sleep from the previous night noise. City must not have a noise ordinance like other cities. Don't stay here if you are at light sleeper or has late night noise issues. First time at a NH Collection hotel.

There was free WiFi which was adequate. The bathroom had all the accessories necessary. The towels were amazing; large and absorbent. The shampoos and soaps were if good quality. The shower was a little difficult to get in and out and slippery. Any guests who are handicapped or impaired should request a safer bathroom if available. My room was very quiet on the fifth (top) floor. There was also a gym on this floor with aerobic equipment, sauna and showers. The free breakfast that came with my room was fantastic. A buffet of fresh fruit, juice, cheeses, pastries, breads, meats, coffee and eggs made to order, all in a neoclassical setting. The front desk was courteous and helpful and did everything asked for. The hotel is 10 minute taxi ride from the train station and is very walkable to Old Town and the city center.

The location is ok. We walked to the plazas and Alcazar with no problem. The staff was fine. Breakfast was included. Again, nothing fancy, but a good place to stay. If you are looking for more luxury, then I recommend the NH Collection in Zaragoza which is a bit more expensive. For the price we paid at the Melia, it was worthwhile.

This hotel has a really whimsical vibe, with art on the doors and floor walls. It's also really elegant at the same time with all the beautiful dark chandeliers. Located in the old town area, it is within comfortable walking distance of many historic sites. They are in close proximity to many tapas bars and feels quite safe for walking. We had a nice sized room with a comfortable bed. I would overall describe the hotel as elegant yet reasonably priced. They offer a breakfast buffet, not included in the price of the room but reasonably priced and continuously refilled. Choices include cereals, artisan breads, local cheeses, sausages, several kinds of eggs, nuts, hummus, raw vegetables. Delicious coffee freshly made by the cup.

Most new hotels have bath gel/ shampoo dispensers these days, and I always try to save my towel rather than having a change daily to be more environmentally friendly. In room safe to keep your valuables and documents . Free wifi because everyone needs to stay in contact with family back in the US. Travel tip: carry a photo copy of your passport rather than the real thing when out in town. Dinner was included and served in the lower level - the area has a deceptive upper and lowe level and there were a few people who missed that step, including a waiter who managed to still hold all three plates he was balancing! That's one thing they definitely can change. Both white and red wines served : they were so delicious and refreshing. Also flat water and sparkling included - such a European thing. Porter service available.

The cafe had everything and looked great. The location is absolutely great, so many amazing restaurants within a couple blocks, the Plaza de Pilar is only about 2 blocks as well. However plan to arrive by bus or taxi and walk or call the hotel ahead if driving.

By that time we got back around the parking space was free. It couldn't have been any easier.
