They are some of the best caregivers I have been lucky to meet, and they are organized, efficient, and dependable in how they run their home daycare. If you are a new parent and unsure of whether a nanny, preschool, or something in between will be the most ideal for your child, Ms. Mila's truly blends the best of them all. The home-based environment provides that casual, family-like touch that is so good for the little ones' development and helps builds important human connections at an early age. That moment alone speaks volumes about how much Andrea means to my daughter. She started at Happy daycare when she was just 1.5 years old. As a first-time mom, I cried on her first day, and Arti sat with me, gently reassuring me that we just needed to give her time to build trust. I can't express how much it meant knowing they understood this was her first time away from home. Within a week, the tears stopped. On her last day, I was the one still in tears because Andrea wouldn't be caring for my little girl anymore. Andrea is incredibly kind and patient. She cared for my daughter with so much warmth that even on weekends, my little one would ask to go see her and this happened more times than I can count. They have several rooms, a patio and a large backyard with several toys and play stations. Separate nap room with cribs is one of the main reasons we sent our daughter here. 2. They feed 3 meals + 2 snacks in a day. Note that snacks are mostly something small like crackers, pretzels, cheese sticks etc. Meals typically include oats, pasta, cheese quesadillas, paratha, idly, rice, some dal variant with veggies etc. 3. My daughter went in and came home happily every day. She started speaking and kept asking for her friends in the day care even during the weekends. Cons: 1. The kid to caretaker ratio promised is misleading. For more than half the time my daughter went here, we did not see any other care taker other than Andrea, based on the pictures we were sent and after taking to multiple kid's parents. For eg, if there are only 6 kids in certain days/weeks, likely it is run by just Andrea. They don't always honor the ratio. Caretakers are rotated across the other day cares they have. In a center-based day care, ratio is always maintained whether or not some kids are on leave. That is not done here. 2. The main reason we preferred a home based day care as opposed to a center based one is - home based day cares can be more intimate. More attention towards every kid. All other home based day cares that we tried for have several themed weeks, festival celebrations, kid's birthday celebrations, farewell parties, parents meet n greet etc. Do not expect any such things here. They do the basic care taking. 3. My daughter came home several times with food dried up on her face. They may not be cleaning up promptly and thoroughly after meal times. Overall, it's a decent day care that tends to kids well.

Looking back, I feel incredibly fortunate that they did. Our eldest was born during COVID and spent the first six months of her life with very little interaction outside our immediate family. She has always been a sensitive child and naturally hesitant in unfamiliar environments, so I was especially nervous about leaving her somewhere new. But Erika and Carlos had an incredible way of making her feel safe from the very beginning. She connected with them almost immediately, and before long, Run & Fun had become her happy place. She loved going there so much that leaving at the end of the day was sometimes a full-on emotional event! She would cling to Erika's neck and cry because she didn't want to go home. That says more than any review ever could. She wasn't simply comfortable there. She felt loved, secure, and completely at home. And when our two younger children joined, they developed that same special bond with Erika and Carlos. What makes Run & Fun extraordinary is, above all, the people. Erika and Carlos are truly exceptional human beings. They are warm, patient, generous, and incredibly attentive, but most importantly, they have a natural gift for understanding and caring for children. It was incredibly difficult to leave a place where I knew, without a shadow of a doubt, that my children were loved and cared for so deeply. As a parent, finding people you trust completely with your children is priceless, and saying goodbye to that was incredibly hard for me. Even though we've moved and all three of my children are now in school, Erika and Carlos are still such a meaningful part of their memories. They still talk about them and remember their time at Run & Fun so fondly. We haven't been back to the area yet, but they keep talking about wanting to see Erika and Carlos the next time we're in town. And one of the sweetest things is that Erika and Carlos still remember every birthday and they always call to wish my children a happy birthday. I cannot recommend Run & Fun highly enough. Even through the pandemic, they only closed down once when Carlos tested positive for Covid. Outside of that, they were able to stay open the whole time. They are super cautious when it comes to really infectious stuff like hand foot and mouth disease, but they won't be calling you because of a runny nose and a simple cough. In the end it's really just a handful of families they work with who all have similar attitudes and priorities and that makes a huge difference. They are not just watching the kids. Erika takes great pains to ensure there are engaging and enriching activities for these young ones every single day. They talk to them in both English and Spanish but they don't force it. Every child picks up as much or as little as they want and their preferences are acknowledged and nurtured. My oldest is a math and science guy while the younger one is more of an athlete and a performer and they both loved their time here. Every parent I've talked to has something to say about the food. It's healthy, it's homemade and magically, they can get all the kids to eat their vegetables. You can literally give your child a glass of milk for dinner and that would be enough calories for the day. Finally, I can't guarantee some results, but my oldest was actually reading by the time he left for Kindergarten. I know some of it is down to nature, but it still takes amazing nurturing to bring out such remarkable results. Oh I almost forgot, Run and Fun is the best value for money you can find in Silicon Valley, I guarantee it!!!
