Katie H, I am in agreement with how Paintmaster is running their business.
I set up an appointment with Jim to come to my home to give me an estimate on some painting.
Jim showed up and was pleasant, my call to the office speaking to the receptionist was also pleasant, every time I called.
Here is the problem. Jim and I went through my house and talked about my paint, the job etc. Jim told me my job is the kind of job he likes to get, a half day job, he can fill in between bigger jobs. Jim asked me questions, took notes and told me he would send the bid to my email, which he requested. Everything seemed great! I was super excited, a professional that knows how to treat customers, this has not been my experience during the upswing in building in the Tri-Cities. Contractors have been really aloof and difficult for the most part. Jim was a breath of fresh air for me. Well....
A few days go by and no bid. I called and asked what had happened and did not receive a response. I waited a couple of days, and nothing from Jim, I left him a voice message, nothing. I called the office and asked if Jim was ok and asked to speak with an owner. The woman that answered the phone put me on hold and went back to talk to all or one of the 4 owners. She came back and told me they knew nothing but would talk to Jim. I said I would try him again, and I did leave another voice message. Jim then called me a couple of days later and told me, (after all this) that he would have to respectfully decline my job, due to the fact that he would not have time to get to our job until October. I told him we were not in a hurry (which I had already told him and October would be great) I asked him to email the bid and I would wait until October. I waited a 2 days and nothing. Then, I sent a text to Jim and called the office to speak with an owner. At this time, I did not want to deal with Jim, I was really feeling frustrated with my time being wasted.
Jim ignored my text all day and I sent another at the end of the second day asking if my bid was ready. Jim finally got back to me via text and said, "like I told you, I do not have time for your job." If any part of our meeting had gone awry or been even slightly negative, I could understand.
Paintmaster wasted my time, told me different stories and the owner I spoke with did nothing to help my husband and I understand what had happened.
Terrible experience, frustrating, confusing and Jim ended up being unprofessional and disrespectful of our time and was not an honest person. read more
