I've taken my kids here twice and we had a great time on both occasions. We did the Wednesday…read morenight, 6pm, free art studio with Ginger, who is a volunteer art teacher. The first time, we crafted fish sculptures using bottles, glue, fabric, and other materials. The second time the kids made hand puppets with socks, googly eyes, and crafting materials. Then they performed individual shows with them. The kids LOVED being creative, and expressing themselves through art. Ginger was extremely patient, fun loving, and fostered a safe learning environment. The 6pm classes are only an hour and a half, but were laughed through most of it. We'll definitely come back for other Wednesday evening events, and will try to get to some of their weekend ones as well. CREATE is one of those places that every parent should experience with their kid(s). Side note - it's also great fun for a bunch of teenagers or adults who want to bond though creative means.

The convenience of her comimg to your own home/garage/patio/ wherever you choose and choosing your own picture (if your hosting) is so much better than the regular paint & sip places where you have random strangers, have to choose certain dates due to a pic you want, have to pay extra for drinks etc! She comes right to the comfort of your own home so you can have however many people, whatever picture and choose your date, snacks, and drinks!!

We came to see Miracle On 34th Street. Having seen the movie almost as many times as years-old my teeth are, I was looking forward to seeing how the story would be developed for the stage. It was a very lovely production with some actors exuding the same persona as their respective movie character. Others confused me slightly because the sex of the character was changed so that I had to get use to a female performing the role played by a male in the movie. But the story line remained true and the entire cast provided an exemplary performance. I would suggest you arrive early. While the parking lots are not far away, if there is anything close to a sellout crowd you will likely have a decent walk to the entrance. The seats are very comfortable but the leg room is a bit tight.

It isn't even checking vaccination status that slows it down, it is inconsiderate people showing up late. The production can't start until they are seated because the actors would be sidelined because of people coming in late. They need to close the doors at 2 and make people wait until intermission, then they'll get the message. No concessions to speak of. No snacks, no beer or wine. I saw water and ginger ale. It will be nice when this fledgling theatre finally gets off the ground. Doubtful to return until then. The play and actors were great. Really enjoyed it. Plus no hearing loop, but I know that comes much later, more established theatres don't have it. Difficult for hearing impaired.

I kid you not, our family looks forward to coming to art class every week and drag our feet to leave when it's over. You won't find a more family-friendly, educationally well-rounded venue for kids to learn about art history, artists, techniques, vocabulary and more. This is an amazing, unusual venue that more people should know about! An historic farm built in the…read more1700s, with a museum for artifacts, an original home, and a barn used for concerts and other events in warmer weather. I first attended the concert series a few years ago before the pandemic, then occasionally in the last couple years. Concerts are free but donations are encouraged. Some refreshments are sold, but bring a picnic and eat before or during the concert. Last night we went on a "moonlit hike." I heard this was the first one held. It was a 1/4 mile walk through the woods to the river. I'm very glad we went, but would advise anyone going: wear appropriate footwear for winter! Crampons, snow shoes, walking poles and the like would be good advice. The trails were fairly icy because that's the weather we've had this year. Get into the group closest to the leader so you can hear the speaker, or maybe they will have a tour guide near the end so that group can hear, as well. There is a lot of fascinating history here! The original home was heated snd the Information shared inside was amazing: observing the living conditions of these early settlers... did you know the second leading cause of death for women(after childbirth was long skirts catching on FIRE?! Definitely a worthwhile tour. Afterwards, go have delicious pub food down at the River Road House, where there is more history to be learned.

Come here to try amazing food samples, and see live demonstrations. Games and crafts area for the kids. Music from local bands on the stage in front of park play house. Meet the people behind the food you buy from the co-op and other great local grocers. This was the second year in a row I attended the event and I am glad I did. It's free to get in and fun to try samples of high quality food. They had some different vendors here this year and some repeats. Some of my favs were: tierra farm store (coconut curry cashews) Also a woman who makes crepes that are to die for (forget her name) and zen butters (a nut butter company) not to mention Browns was there with their beer as was Chatham brewery. It was a great stroll around the park. I can't wait for next year!
