I described my problem, he saw what I needed wasn't there and he then said he had an idea. he went to a spool of copper wire, measured the width I needed and the length and cut 6 brackets that were perfect. we all know Ace is the best but Brett went overboard with ingenuity, creativity and a warm smile. I later learned he is the floor manager and he is perfect at that job. we are so lucky to have him and Ace hardware in carbondale Co. 10 stars to a great man and store.

I noticed the 10/25 year warranty on the deck paint can, which said to take it to the place you bought it. Summit labels with my name and date were on the cans. So I called Summit with all the information and talked to Roberto. He said bring the cans to the store and he would take care of me. I drove down and met Roberto who said that he is managing the place now. I showed him the cans with summit labels with my name and dates and photos of the peeling deck. He refused to talk about the warranty. He just wanted to sell me more deck paint saying that I should try an oil based paint. Frustrating experience. A real change from the previous owner and his wife. Wasted an hour and gas.

We went back to get more but was shocked to see that the store wouldn't reopen until Tuesday. This was on Friday! They close early, Plus, they are not open on the weekends. Wouldn't you think that would be a busy time, the weekends? I'd have to say, that the gallon price was at least $20 higher than other paint ( that was with a discount).... I felt a bit taken advantage of. John & Mike were nice and helpful. I loved their pet babies. I might drive the distance to save money and to be safe on the store hours.
