Painting, they sketch you paint
Alexis A.

I've been here four times now. Twice as a date night, then recommended it to a few people and ended up going back twice for birthdays. Love that it's BYOB and bring your own food. They outline the painting for you so it's easy to follow along once you get started. Always has great music and it's always fun! They even accommodated our growing group when we arrived. I also love that they feature the instructors art work on the walls.

Celebrating my girlfriends birthday here. We all had a ball Food: you could bring your own food so we were able to bring in cakes and cupcakes for her and champagne. Parking: Parking is behind the building there's plenty of parking behind the building in front of the establishment or a few parallel parking spaces. Kayla was the assistant, really nice. Ren was the instructor. He was super nice too. Social distancing: You can also mingle with the other people. the tables aren't really close together but the seating at the tables there's no not much social distancing. Painting: I can't draw to save my life. The paint is provided and they take you step-by-step. I am so not a painter and nor can I draw but how they explain things and work with you and go step-by-step turns your painting into a masterpiece. They also show u different painting techniques like blending and shading. Will definitely come bac

Parking: There is street parking and a lot behind the building that is free for customers to park in. Service: The class is $30 which is kind of pricey. The instructor and her assistant, I believe, were very friendly and attentive to our needs. They were also very lively and interacted with everyone in the space organically or seemingly so. I've been to quite a few paint and sips but this experience was on another level as it simply felt like "home" with brown faces and the music we enjoy (read: hip hop) played at decent volume levels so we can follow the hosts instructions for progress throughout our time. This leads me to my only dislike - running out of time & not finishing. It seemed as though the 2 hours weren't enough time for detail the paintings require. I'm unsure if either of the other groups finished with completed pictures, but not many out of our group did. Food & drink: It is BYOB, but they also have drinks and snacks available for purchase. Covid: Masks are required when moving throughout the space which I appreciate. And as such they sell them for $1 each. It was my nephews birthday gathering so they provided a special birthday apron and did a few extra things for him and the other person whose birthday it was also. There was also a game of "lets mingle" where each person picks a card and answers the question out loud over the mic to familiarize the room with one another. Very nice touches in my opinion.

Amazing!! We had a safe and fun time. I bought a voucher for two on Groupon and it was pretty easy to redeem. This location does have parking and there are a few food spots around to buy your food and drinks. The host was very interactive and he gave a lot of space so you can be creative. The guided instructions aren't strict so you're free to be creative with your painting. Masks were required throughout the experience but not when eating and drinking. They do sell little snacks.

Had a great time!

I have been to many "Paint & Sip" event. This was by far the best! The atmosphere was lively, the artists were great, and the extra engagment activities were very creative. I strongly recommend!!!

I enjoyed my time at this business. I came in from out of town and went with my sister. We had fun and enjoyed the host... I can't remember the artist name but she was very helpful and the guy Rashad was very attentive!

Recently, I went to their Paint-Trap-Sip Halloween event. Overall, I did have fun and the people who work there are pretty friendly from what I can tell. I do have a couple concerns though. I say this only to make them better, not to knock this small business. Pros: 1. Lots of energy from the people who work there and also from the patrons (when I was there) 2. Friendly people 3. Artist is very knowledge and very talented. 4. Paint stage available for taking pictures--pretty neat 5. Neat little games/competitions (for the grown/sexy) for the trap event (if you're into that kinda thing 6. They do provide plenty of opportunity for you to just socialize with others 7. Nice ambiance/atmosphere Cons: 1.Okay, one of my pet-peeves was lighting... I personally found it very difficult to paint b/c I could barely see the actual tones of my painting while I was mixing colors so I was literally have to use the flashlight of my iPhone to shed light on my painting so I could see and finish what I was doing. Understand, that I went to their latest class so it was @10-30pm-1am so if you go during the day, this may not be an issue. 2. The person I was with did mention they do a lot of just.. "random stuff" that really distracts from the actual "just sit down and paint" part.. I don't disagree--some people may like that, but if you just wanna focus on painting.. this may not necessarily be the very best suitable environment for you. If you don't mind it, you may enjoy it. 3. Price--for $80 (for 2) for a paint-trap-sip class?... kinda much if you ask me. I just compare this to things you can do in ATL that are definitely less (in terms of cost) and still have just as much fun (if not more). 4. Parking--unfortunately, I and several others ended up having our cars booted ($75 to remove the boot + 30 min wait for someone to arrive to remove the boot) b/c parking was limited in their space.. it's dark and if you're not familiar with the area just watch where you park. SERIOUSLY. I know it's not this business's job to do what I'm about to say: but... tell, the people walking in to move their cars if they didn't park in the same lot as the business to avoid this hassle.. having been booted, it definitely put a sour taste in my mouth at the very end of the night (and I know I wasn't the only one who felt this way). 5. Noise--A little too loud for my taste, but it didn't bother me too, too much 6. Late on getting started.. b/c of this, I and many others were rushing through the painting... I didn't like that. But yeah, overall... I would have to give them a solid 3 out of 5 stars; I just cannot see myself giving them anything higher than that. It was fun, but for me, it could have been better. I sincerely hope the business and the people who may be interested in coming here find this helpful.

This place was definitely dope! I went for a friend's birthday back in late August and I was really impressed! I want to go back with more friends to experience it again. Parking: This is located in East Atlanta. There is parking available on the street on in the lot behind the place. Ambiance: Casual & great for groups! Like they can really accommodate all sizes. Small, medium, or large groups! The birthday party was quite large but we had a blast and the staff still managed to give everyone one on one attention. Food: We had our own food & libations. I believe you are to bring your own, so I would definitely encourage that. Like you can literally turn this into your party spot where you also paint. Painting: Mine sucked, lol! I really just need to stick to coloring with crayoned or using a coloring app. However, despite the fact that my painting looks sorta kinda (probably not really close but I'm trying to get to be positive, lol) I'm not discouraged from wanting to go again. Overall: I can't wait to plan to go again in 2019!

The friendliness of our host Janica and her patience as she gave each of us our own personal lessons on how to make our painting Amazing. I normally feel stressed when I go to sip and paints but that was not the case this time. I felt at ease with Janica and she really made me feel like I was doing a great job making my painting my own. She never rushed us as I was prob the last person of our group to finish. I would definitely recommend this over any paint studio I've been to over the years. Price doesn't matter when you feel this welcomed and catered to and the best part is picking a painting that you want to paint vs the other places where everyone is doing the same 1 or 2 options. I didn't have an issue with parking. I got a good space near the entrance. Also Janica took pictures throughout the evening of everyone from start to finish. She really made my Godsister LaRhonda's Bday one to remember!
