They have the BEST notification process, all computerized to let you know you have an appt or they've called in a prescription. If you need pain mgmt call Dr Henry! Everyone in his office is so kind. I made that abundantly clear, yet they wouldn't see me without a urine drug test. That's fine, since I have no concerns there. So they send it out to an outside, out-of-state lab that charges almost$1000 dollars for the test??!!!!! Yep, people, seems a little shady to me too. I had already decided to pass on the procedure due to the fact that I felt very uncomfortable with the whole staff at the facility but this certainly tops the cake!! This is a definite NO THANK YOU!

My issue is with the management. Within the last month or so (with no prior warning) they have closed their doors due to mismanagement. Staff was not getting paid, rental furniture was getting ready to be picked up by the rental company for no payment. We did originally receive a letter discussing to announce the closure and I received a voicemail last week saying my Oct 17 appointment was canceled and two months of meds would be called in. This has not happened yet. We all have had to scramble to find new coverage. My chief complaint is I was scheduled for surgery today and my acute pain issues have always been covered by my doc at Prime MD. Over the past three weeks I have left multiple messages asking for coverage and I have not received a return call. I had pretty extensive surgery today and I am now home with no breakthrough meds for the acute pain. Needless to say, I am miserable in pain and absolutely feel abandoned. This is inhumane. I just wanted to put this out there about the management of Prime MD. Congratulations on taking a very profitable practice and running it straight into the ground. Very impressive feat! I have been in the medical field for almost 30 years and I have never seen that accomplished is such a short time. Again, the doctors and staff are amazing and need to be recognized for putting up with horrific management for as long as they did. They care about patients and I wish them well.

This situation which now is affecting my mental health started a month ago. During a January snowstorm I drove myself to the Diley Ridge emergency with leg and knee pain. During the visit I was given an ultrasound to look for a blood clot. I was given a shot of Lovanox and schedule an appointment with Mt. Carmel East for another ultrasound the next day. I drove to the hospital the next day during a level three emergency to be told I do not have a blood clot. I was still in pain but no one bothered to ask or consider another option. I was dismissed and went home. A week later I am at the Diley Ridge emergency hospital again with more intense knee pain, they even recognize that I was just there. This time I get an x-ray which shows I have some arthritis, I'm sent home with a script for ibuprofen, a leg stabilizer, and told to follow up with my PCP. All the while I'm icing and trying to figure out how to manage the pain and continue to work on my feet all day. My PCP sent a script for Meloxicam to help with inflammation and pain. I tried the medicine for a few days but even with food it made me vomit. My PCP sent a referral to OrthoNeuro and I waited for a call, which I never received. I finally called them on a Monday and was able to get an appointment that same Wednesday. I am very familiar with OrthoNeuro as I had three carpal tunnel release surgeries the previous year. For my knee pain I was scheduled with Mark Gittins. In my roughly ten minute consultation he told me to get rid of the stabilizing brace (I should be letting my knee do what it's supposed to do, use over the counter Voltaren for the arthritis and sent a referral for an MRI. Nothing was addressed about my actual knee pain. After about another week I am in so much pain I find myself at Mt. Carmel East emergency room, actually in hysterical tears because the pain continues with no relief. This time I'm given a shot in the rear for inflammation and sent a script for OxyCodone and ibuprofen. While in the ER I requested an MRI since one has not been scheduled for me yet. I was told no. I had to take off work the next day due to continued pain. I did receive a call finally to schedule an MRI. I was told my insurance requires a ten day period to get an MRI approved. At that time I was scheduled for an MRI March 3rd, 2026, which was still three weeks away. I sent a note explaining my situation and miraculously the next day I was called with an approval and scheduled an MRI the next day. Finally I thought I would get some relief. I had my MRI the next day at 7:30am immediately after the MRI I called and left a message with Dr. Gittins voicemail around 8am. In the meantime the results of my MRI are posted to MyChart. I did not receive a call, I left a message the next day, I did not receive a call. Friday came and went, no call. Which brings me to today, my pain continues as my anxiety rises because I have to work and I know what the pain feels like at the end of my shift and it makes me sick to my stomach. As I sit here and try not to be sarcastic about any of this I wonder when someone will decide to call me and help. Unfortunately I have no other option except to be seen at OrthoNeuro due to my insurance. I already have little faith in this institution due to my carpal tunnel release surgeries (I will not get into that situation as this letter has already taken up so much of my time). At this point I have no other option but to write this review because I am in need of some help and relief.

I saw one of their neurologists today to help figure out why my eyes keep blurring out and having shadowed double vision. If you need a doctor like this be prepared to wait for the appointment. Fiften years ago there were only maybe a dozen to twenty eye neurologists in the USA. There are more now but not that many... so the fact that we have three on staff here is incredibly fortunate. The fact that the two I have had care for my vision are empathetic as well as thoroughly skilled is just beyond amazing luck. On the day of your appt charge your phone or bring something to occupy yourself. There can be a lot of waiting... this is normal! Why??? Their patients all have complex issues and the doctors will take as much time to thoroughly try to solve each one. One by one.... That can back up the flow. Just realize when its you in that room... they will give you 100% of their attention. They will come in fully prepared (meaning they have read your chart thoroughly prior to seeing you) and will ask you as many questions to get to the root of the problem and you will leave with an action plan and answers. Its productive. You are in good hands here.
