Giving them a pass when most probably wouldn't. New ownership isn't what it used to be when they were Padula's. But the technician who worked on my tractor was great! Unfortunately some important records such as past service and what optional attachments I bought from them that would need to be tuned up were somehow not available for him to really know what he was supposed to be servicing. As a result he did not have all of the common parts that needed replacing- like blades and belts. Not his fault, so no blame there. I guess the transition is still shaky. So word of advice. Be sure to tell them exactly what equipment you want serviced- including all attachments. Don't assume even if you bought it there at their site that they will just know what you have. I must say that I've been here twice to have my lawn tractor serviced an today was my last visit here ever. Their prices for servicing lawn tractors are outrageous. Then I get charged $132.00 because their technician looked at my machine and told me what I already knew. I asked them to replace my carburetor and linkage and then they charged me $132.00 to tell me I needed a carburetor and linkage.... Then for them to replace the carburetor and linkage cost 1/2 of what I paid for the entire tractor!?!?! Not only will I never return but I'll never purchase another John Deere product again!! I recently purchased a John Deere X 350 lawn tractor from Padula Brothers in Lancaster. Adam did an excellent job of helping me select the best model for my needs. I am so glad I didn't purchase a entry level model from a big box store and couldn't be happier with the X 350 and the 42A deck with mulch control & bagger. Bob delivered the tractor within a week and did a great job showing me the many features of the shiny, new machine. The X 350 maneuvers easily and cuts, mulches & bags beautifully. Ray in service provided excellent telephone advice when I had some operation questions. His suggestions worked beautifully. After cutting the grass a few times the mower belt failed. I called parts to see if they had a replacement belt in stock. Peter in parts had 2 belts in stock but encouraged me to talk with the service department because something didn't sound right and the machine may need a check up to determine why the belt failed so quickly. Bill in service couldn't have been more helpful and thought it would be best to send someone out with a new belt to check out the machine. Andy from service came to the house within a week and quickly found the problem that caused the belt to fail. He replaced the belt, fixed the problem and took the time to show me how to perform the basic maintenance functions required to keep the X 350 running for many years to come. Thank you to Adam, Bob, Ray, Peter, Bill and Andy for making my experience with Padula Brothers first class in every way! I had a John Deer 5510 that had a broken parking paul, it was at another place in Sutton on 146 and they couldn't fix it. Paula brothers took it in and had the mechanics and knowledge to fix it right, they even stood behind their work when one part after it was done was defective, they fixed it a second time for no charge because they said they should have caught it! I've been in the market for a new tractor for a few months now. This has led me to Padula's since it is the closest tractor dealer and I've been interested in changing over from Kubota to a JD. Visit # 1: Waited 35 minutes in showroom only to be told it was go to be a while to get some help. Finally got some help and after explaining what I was looking for the guy said he had to and passed me off to another guy and I didn't feel like explaining again so I left. Visit # 2: Went midday during the week to try to get some other questions answered. Waited 30 minutes while 1 sales guy was finishing with a customer. We sit down to talk numbers and within 5 minutes we get interrupted and he starts finishing an older sale and levees to drive a mower to someone's trailer. Waited at his desk for another 30 minutes while he dealt with that. It's now been over an hour and still have accomplished nothing. Finally got to talk and a visit they should have been 45 minutes turned into over 2 hours. Visit # 3:. Walk in to apply for financing at 10:30 in the morning. The place is not they busy but sales guy was already with someone else so I wait around, looking at stuff in the showroom and just waiting. Was in there for 45 minutes and not one single person the worked there acknowledged my presence, asked if they could help, etc etc. I walk out realizing if it is this crazy and everyone is so unhelpful prior to sale, I could only imagine the frustration of dealing with anyone post sale. After reading some of the reviews it looks like I was right. Doubt I will be going back and wasting any more of my time. There's a gentleman that was there all three times that has a sales office who seems like a manager but would never make eye contact and refused to ask if I needed any help on my list visit there. He was not with any customers. This place has an elitist attitude vibe about it and they don't care to seem to care whether they get business or not. The hose needed wasn't in stock and would be a few days until delivery. They pointed me to another local business who they use for custom orders. The hose was made on the spot in ten minutes. This review if for the Raynham location. I recently went in to get my EZ trac serviced. I need the at home service because I don't have a way to get the mower to this location. Linda was very nice and scheduled the service for 2 days later. The tech showed up exactly when Linda said he would. His name was Shane and he was overly friendly. Shane was extremely knowledgeable and professional. He completed the whole job in about an hour. Mower now runs better than ever. I was so happy with the service I brought my chainsaw in the next day for repair. read more

I want to first say I understand with recent events during the Covid 19 out break people are being very careful and are on edge. With this said I also want everyone reading this to know I live in real upstate New York state and at the time of my experience there was only 3 people in my entire county and most likely from the NYC . I am a firefighter so I am taking the precautions needed to protect my family and comunity . I recently bought a John Deere privately and found a used broom at a great price at this dealership. I spoke with Adam in sales and he was great with being as up front about the condition of it with the limited knowledge of this exact piece as he didn't take it in on trade. He said to me that he heard that the salesman that took it in on trade quoted @300 for parts plus the brushes which were 750 more. He was not avaible on the day I could get it so I spoke with Ryan. When I got there Ryan was in his office and was great (at first) . Once we walked out to look at the broom and he found out I was from New York he said he wasn't coming near me and really didn't even want anything to do with me. He didn't want to even answer my questions and the ones he did he was very short and presented them with a an attitude. I did buy it and figured well what ever . After letting time pass by (5 days) , I figured Id reach out to Adam and explain to him what transpired. When I got Adam on the phone I was told it was reticulate and observed that I would call about this. I hope if you are thinking of buy a piece of equipment you will look elsewhere. I understand that the owner of Texas based United Equipment bought this company and I hope they clean house starting with these members of the sales team. Does the rating go lower than 1? I wish I had read the other review (from Greg B.) before I sent my tractor in for service. The tractor was originally bought from Padula, and has the stickers on the side to prove it. I figured my best bet for good service was to take it back to the dealership it came from, right? My first conversation with the service manager (who shall remain nameless but was not named Andrew) was very pleasant. He explained they had a wait of a few weeks due to summer demand and they would schedule me in. Not a problem. We made an appointment for the tractor to be picked up for a regular service (oil, filters, grease, blades, etc.) and to fix the uneven mowing pattern --- assume the deck wasn't level as one side of the mowed grass was always higher --- it looked like my lawn had a mohawk. The appointment was about three weeks out. Monday - the day they are scheduled to pick it up, I move it to the back of the house, and leave it outside, no key, as instructed. I get home Monday night, it is still sitting there. Tuesday - I call the service department, I get someone I haven't spoken to before who says he will check... *hold*... and then says they "couldn't get to it" and that's why it wasn't picked up. My question to him --- was it inaccessible (something blocking it) or did you just run out of time? He says they didn't get to it. My question to him --- that's fine, but if there is something blocking your access to it I need to know so I can move it. His response - we couldn't get to it. So what does that mean? Wednesday - Tractor is picked up. Fast forward Sunday - No word from the dealer so I email asking for an update. This is a basic service, right? Monday - My bill is ready. I pay and tractor is delivered that evening. Tuesday - I start it up, mow for about 10 minutes and then it starts blowing smoke (like I am rollin' coal here). The neighbors all come out and rush over, thinking my yard is on fire. Nope, it's my tractor, freshly back from service. I pull the key, it keeps running and smoking. Great. I email service. Wednesday - Service collects the tractor, and emails me to tell me the aftermarket LED headlights shorted out the headlight harness. Oh yeah, and they overfilled the oil. That's why it was smoking. (But after all that smoke there was enough oil left that it was still overfilled?). And the ignition doesn't work b/c the headlights blew the fuses which is why the tractor won't shut off. Would I like them to order a new headlight harness and bulbs or just bring it back as it? Thursday - Multiple emails going back and forth about the oil and why I doubt that the headlights are the culprit, and asking for the cost and time to order the replacement harness and bulbs. And, oh yeah, it is going to start smoking again and set my yard on fire? Is it safe to operate? Friday - Nothing from service. Not a call, not an email. Open the garage door and there is the tractor sitting in my driveway. It appears that the connection from the headlights to the harness are disconnected. And the deck is still crooked, and it still mows unevenly. I mistakenly opted to go to the original dealer thinking the service would be better. I would strongly encourage that folks go elsewhere. There are a number of dealers and service locations around here that can only do better than this. Note that with the blades being replaced (which they did need, granted) this was a 350.00 service and what I got back was a tractor that fumigates the neighborhood and I am not sure I can safety operate without starting a fire (or getting fined by the EPA for emissions). I recently brought my John Deere lawn and garden tractor in for repairs. They told me up front that there was a two week queue. They called me exactly two weeks later and provided an estimate for the repairs. The cost ended up being less than expected. When I picked up the tractor the technician that performed the repairs brought it out and talked to me about what he did. The tractor now runs great. After my positive tractor repair experience, I decided to purchase a Stihl backpack blower there. I had been researching them and wanted to purchase from a dealer that I could trust. The transaction was very positive. They fueled the blower and started it up before bringing it out to me and then the sales person went over the various controls. I have also purchased various parts and maintenance kits there for my tractor and attachments. All my experiences there have been positive. read more

THIS REVIEW IS BASED ON A VISIT TO THE RAYNHAM STORE...- I was in need of a perkins short block for my tractor. Found a company A&I products that sold them through their authorized distributors. Regional sales rep mentioned Padula Bros... only a short drive from my farm. They are not a stock item and are ordered as needed. I went to Padula Bros in Raynham for a price. When I arrived I was #3 in line of the 4 people at the parts counter. A grey haired gent was doing his best to tend to customers while a dark haired guy to his right was on his computer and never even looked up or recognised us. A simple... I will be with you in a minute...would have gone a long way!!! I was finally next in line and he called me to the counter. I gave him the part number, etc. He quoted me $3400.00. That was more than I expected and said I would need to think on it. Today I went back to order. Same dark haired guy waits on me. Give him the info again and he tells me not available. I said I had just spoken to the sales rep and they are in stock. He finally then says... there is one left in Ohio??? The price is $4900.00. I told him he had previously quoted me $3400.00. He stated he had never waited on me. I told him I distinctly remembered him ... and most notably his lousy attitude on both occasions. With that I left..... Long story short...I ordered from another A&I distributor for $3180.00. Will have it in 10 days delivered to my door... Fedex. Even got an additional 3.5% off of the $3180.00 for using a treasurers check. I would never ever go back to Padula Bros. read more

I've had Padula come out to my home and service my JD 4500 lawn tractor for the past 8 years or so. Never had a problem with anything the service person did until the last time. Rob told me machine was all set for winter season and next time they come out I may need a new wire to turn the snow shute. I asked that the machine be taken for a test drive and make sure everything was OK. I asked Rob to turn the lever that controls the shute, so I could see the wire he was talking about. Rob touched the shute controls and the wire broke! Now if I didn't ask him to try it, this would have happened to me on the first snow storm and I would be stuck with another service call. I assume since Rob broke the wire I will not be charged a service call when they come out to fix it. It has been one and a half weeks and I haven't heard anything from the service department. No snow in the forecast so I guess I'm OK. Except for this one experience, I have been extremely happy with Padula Brothers. They are always courteous on the phone, show up on time, fix my machine correctly, (except this last time) and never leave a mess. I didn't buy my machine from Padula, and not many places want to work on older diesel models. Padula was the only JD dealer in the area who would come out to the house and service the machine. I would have given them 5 STARS with no problem, except for this broken wire on the last service call. I can't help but feel Rob knew that it was going to break, as soon as I went to use it when it snowed. read more

Terrible! These people are lazy hacks and not trustworthy. Sent my tractor in for repairs & service I put my initials on the filters just to verify that they have been changed. Made it very clear to the service department about changing the fuel filter as this tractor is run on grass and dirt (like most tractors). Well... shame on me for not checking and running my tractor for a month, they never changed my fuel filter so with 6 guys on the clock and the tractor needed for the days productivity it shut down for lack of fuel. Got under it and to my surprise same old fuel filter, they never changed it... Talk about fraud. I verified verbally at least three times about the fuel filter & I paid for the filter change. I dislike Padulas very much. They are unfortunately one of the few JD dealers in the area. In my experience with them, the staff is very rude, unless you are buying a tractor... Getting something serviced from them is very expensive and your equipment is left outside after it is fixed, which is common for many equipment places. However, I had a snow blower that needed repair and it was left outside after an ice storm and it was literally a block of ice when I got it back. I also had to call to find out if my snow blower was done, they didn't even call to let me know it was done. I was looking to get a Stihl chain saw, which they carry, which is great...except they didn't have the saw I was looking for in stock. I stood in the store waiting for someone to help and guess what, nobody was helping me, so I left. I had emailed them through the Stihl dealer site too to find out if they had the saw and never heard back weeks later. I was more than happy to spend $1000 on a chainsaw right then and there, but apparently my business was not important, so I am going to another place this weekend that got RIGHT back to me, had the saw in stock and was extremely pleasant to deal with. They will get my $1000+ and after this weekend will write up a review for them. To sum it up, Padulas has a nice tractor selection, but they are not in the business of customer service. read more

If I could give them zero stars, I would. Recently had them service my lawn mower and was VERY DISAPPOINTED! My mower went in for not working and they returned it with a blown tire, a mower deck that was lowered way too much and informing me that it needs new blades and belts. I'm ticked that I paid near 700$ and no one mentioned these other issues that needed to be fixed. I now need to pay another company to pick it up and finish the job that Padula Bros. couldn't do. read more

I purchase a compact 1025r and D110 mower the end of May 2016. I went back later and purchased a Stihl BR 350 backpack blower. In all spent close to $27000.00 in less than a month. When I received my mower it had a gouge in the hood. I was told it would be replaced. After several calls and a visit to service it still has not been changed. On another occasion I called to get service on my 1025r and was told they will call me back. No call came!! Went to Lancaster location to complain and service took all information and said they will look into it and call the next day. Ten days later NO CALL!!!!!!!' Raynham Location - If I could give less than one star I would. We were promised a delivery date of 5/30 for a $2k John Deere purchased from Home Depot, distributed by Padula Brothers. On 5/30 after calling Home Depot and being given Padula's number and confirming they had in-fact received our tractor on 5/26, I called Padula Brothers to find out where the tractor was. I was told that Home Depot doesn't make Padula's schedule and was hung up on. I call back in the afternoon, twice to get in touch with someone to find the tractor, and I'm told by a man named Jesse that I'll get it maybe sometime next week. Despite having to wait much longer than quoted to have a very expensive piece of equipment delivered, I relent and specifically instruct them to call my cell phone number to schedule, as the number they have on file is just a number for billing and we cannot be reached during the day on it. A week later, no phone call, and guess what just shows up, along with one of the most rude technicians we have ever dealt with? Without being properly scheduled, we were unable to take the time to be shown how to operate it and receive the "white glove service" (what a joke) we were sold and paid for. When a call was placed to the service department to schedule a technician to come back when we were available we were told they don't have time for this and no one would be coming back, and further would not put us in touch with ownership. No acknowledgement of the delay or lack of scheduling confirmation, just a "not my problem" attitude. Customer service is non-existent. If you are thinking of making any kind of purchase from them, do yourself a favor and find another dealer. I can acknowledge the fact that there may have been a scheduling miscommunication with Home Depot, but based on my interaction with Padula directly from that point on, the service went from bad to worse. They take absolutely no responsibility for their inadequate scheduling or their complete lack of customer service. Run. read more
